Finally people are beginning to see another side of Sturridge. But you know only goals counts for many.

dayokanu: ^^ Someone said Chelsea didnt create chances and todays game it was Lampard a number 6 who was responsible for creating chances and not the 3 behind the strikers?

Talk about Logic upside down
I have no interest in the logic being discussed.

Phucking hell Ibime. It is possible for Lampard to have a bad game and totally rightful for any person to rip into him if they choose to. His goal scoring record and legendary status has got nothing to do with. Just get over it.

CFCfan: I tell ya grin
I'm glad though that the team is gaining that "winning mentality".
That's the key. One other thing to note is that all players are playing for the manager. The performance for Willian yesterday really convinced me of that.

The only person who may get sidelined in this squad unfortunately is KDB. He doesn't seem to have the attitude nor the energy to achieve the levels required.

It's close to decade they've last had something relevant to sing about. These days they have a lot of fans in fancy suits and clothes who go on and on about how pretty their play is. grin grin

The pretenders have been put in their places. This is why they can't win the league. First big game and they can't even offer a decent challenge.

Well organized and controlled. Apart from a 5-minute spell before Mata's goal, we were never really threatened. This team is getting stronger. Special mention to Willian for me. This dude fully understands the concept of helping out a full back. He made much of Bertrand's work easy.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by nateevs(m): 10:21pm On Oct 29, 2013

FBS: 1. If you continue to run, something will happen. I said it before and will say it again that Hard work pays at the end. With a performance like that, its hard to fault ANY player. Torres did play well. MOTM.

2. Ramires! We yab this guy a lot but imo he is the ENGINE in this team. Tireless!

3. is it me or this team will be set up to play counter attacking football? soak up pressure then BANG, Goal?

4. Happy for Lukaku, letting him out on loan is the BEST thing we could have done for the boy this season. Let him enjoy it.

Well, its L'a.rr,se next!
That's it bro. And that is exactly why so far, Torres is thriving. He is not working harder than he used to.
He has space in front to run into, the ball gets released quickly and he is a real danger.

Let's go out tonight and thrash the little boys.

Ibime: And did I not know these stats before I labelled him Passenger? I labelled him Passenger because he is a flat-track bully, never to be found when going gets tough. Fact - we would have lost today if he was on the pitch. Jose would only integrate him by strengthening said midfield with players that can carry him. If you see the work our wingers and Oscar had to do today to keep their men goalside, then definitely you will know Mata would have cost us the game.

But I'm glad the "Jose is a fool for dropping Mata" campaign waged by some silly non-tactical dunderheads is over. Some of youse were almost ready to call for Jose sacking.
Ogbeni no one was close to calling for Jose's sack. There is no need to exaggerate issues. Folks were only concerned at the treatment of our best player of the year for 2 straight seasons. No one argues that Mata is a strong player. We just argue from different perspectives. While you believe we would concede goals if Mata plays, I believe we would score more if Mata plays. It doesn't make either of us right or wrong.

Where you become wrong is when you believe your argument is strong enough to justify the sale of Mata.

All this is English. Past-participle and present continuous bla bla bla. "Ibime has no money" yesterday does not mean "Ibime is broke" today. Torres had no strengths at the time I made that statement and there was 3 years of evidence to back it up. Everyone on SKY today is asking where he found his pace from. I did acknowledge couple months ago that he looked like he was taking steroids over the summer because his pace has returned. That is acknowledging a strength which he did not have.

As for £5m? That was even overstating his price. If he was worth something, buyers would have showed their interest. As of now, he may just be worth about £5m. If he keeps this up till Christmas, I will up the price to £10m!!! grin
Like you said some days ago, there's no need for long story. You could easily have said he has lost his strengths. You didn't. You said he did not have any. Now we dey take English explain am. Now everyone's jumping on the bandwagon trying to form "Oh we knew he was good. If he played like this, we would have loved him"

Well its a shame Okore copped a season ending injury cos the way things are going, Luiz price must have dropped to £15m by now, and Okores would have reached £10m by now. By Christmas, their prices would be the same!!

I think I have been vindicated on this point - point being the dude can easily be replaced by Cahill, Ivanovic and Terry (which he has been) and then you have Okore there as well. So snap up the £35m cos dude is not worth that utility to Chelsea or even close! His worth to Chelsea is less than that of Cahill.
No mate. You have not been vindicated on this. It's a long season. Luiz, from stern coaching, could lose his cavalier approach and could become a top footballer. Then you will be back to speak English again. Present past continuous tense - I meant "at that time that" Luiz is not worth that much to Chelsea and worth less that Cahill.

According to you, we should have sold Mata, Luiz, Ramires and Torres. Sell everyone but when they turn out good, you use this past tense, present tense schitzo to try to explain it.

Remember how you also told us we should sell Drogba?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by nateevs(m): 9:21pm On Oct 27, 2013
Ibime: You haff come again. Yes City did control the midfield but we won because we had men on the pitch sitting deep and putting in shifts while Passenger Mata was on the bench where he should be and £35m irreplaceable defender was not there to cause calamity.

It is now obvious that the women screaming every 5 minutes at season start over Passenger Mata issue have been silenced.

Meanwhile Torres that had no strengths has found his pace and confidence. We don't need jobless nincompoops with charts and stats trying to explain that the midfield does not pass to Torres. Like we always said, if Torres does his job he will get opportunities whilst emotional niggas try to blame everyone else. Shameless goat.
I didn't see the game so cannot comment much. However what is clear is that Fernandinho and Yaya Toure have yet to "beast" every midfield. Especially not ours, as at least one person would have said so. We are still waiting for the "beasting".

Regarding Mata, I cannot argue with you mate. As I have said over and again, no player on earth amasses 20 goals and 28 assists in all competitions in one season by being a passenger. According to you, we should sell Mata and move on. If Jose finds a way to integrate Mata, you will come back to say he found "strength" . . Hehehe.

On Torres, he has no strengths yet he has "found his pace and confidence" . . . I will take it that you mean pace is no strength. grin. Unless of course you mean he has found strengths. . grin According to you, we should have sold him for £5m. Now he has found pace and confidence. Hehehe.

On David. Dude is Brazilian who grew up playing the ball out from the back. He is very cavalier in his approach and as such will make mistakes many times. What is unmistakable is the immense ability he has. According to you, we should have sold him and bought Okore. grin grin. If jose manages to get the best out of him, you will say he has also found strengths.

Ibime I yaff tayad for you. grin grin

Ibime: We only say what we see on the pitch. No emotions involved in this shyte.

The dude has been on fire this season, and when he stunk out the place for 3 years prior, we also called it what it was - pure shyte!!!

He should carry on his recent form jare. Na we go hail am pass. We aint emotional niggas!!!
No one can be on fire if truly they have no strengths. Not emotional you say.

coogar: this ibime has no decorum....
so you can open your mouth & say torres is on fire? the same torres with no upper body strength? the same torres that should have been sold for £5m? you are a disgrace to football punditry.
Actually the best one from Ibime to me on Torres is "He has no strengths". smiley
