Ribery had so many chances because Ivanovic let him. This is why you underrate what Ashley did. If Ashley got drawn to the ball half as many times as Ivanovic did, Robben would have created a lot more chances and the game could have been over.

Robben does not need Rafinha to be a handful, he is that good. I am saying Ashley was even better to make Robben look ordinary, Rafinha or not.

Jose will manage the situation. There's no need to go overboard with a missed penalty kick, however horrible. I am happy that with display. Bearing in mind we are supposed to be a team in transition, we did not get embarrassed by arguably the best team in Europe.

With more training and players getting used to the system, their roles and responsibilities, the only way is up. This is without fielding Willian, Mata, Eto and KDB.

There are a lot of positives. In one year, this team will be a machine.

What a shame. We did well.

Very impressive half for me. Special mention to Ashley who's not given Robben more than an inch of space. We are struggling on the right with Ribery and those half open chances. Having concurrent attacks on the left could be disastrous.


David Luiz and Cahill have been really close on Mazukic and Muller snuffing out any space even in counter attacking scenarios.


It's not impossible to get a second goal and then park the bus if we can.

Very impressive he has been. I've longed to see how he does on the right as the left is he stronger position.

Ashley Cole has managed to stay tight on Robben. Ivanovic, no so much on Ribery.

Hazard and Schurrle are really impressive. They've been threatening going forward and providing plenty of cover in defence.
