We are hoofing up to Drogba because we cannot compete in midfield. They are stronger than us and way more creative. Is Hamsik playing? |
diggz:Are you sure about those stats? Or are you making them up? Secondly, if we are relying on our midfielder to get a goal, like you said, 'most times' don't you think something is obviously wrong? |
Bosingwa has pulled a muscle. |
Adetayo100:That's because as crap as Malouda is, he is still quicker and better at getting back than Lampard and fitter than Essien who is just back from injury. Not everything is about getting forward. What do we miss when Lampard does not play? Please remind me. |
These guys no waste time. They are coming at us straight up. |
FBS:Word! |
Ibime:Of course they can. That ex-Middlesborough dude on PressPass is talking twaddle. How the fkuc does he even know those that do and don't support him? Once Ibime sees anything that remotely supports his point of view, copy and paste! |
Ibime:Rational thinking from Ibime. Jeez what's going on in here? |
afrodoc:This was ur comment mate. afrodoc:That sort of comment paints a picture of a conversation you had with Roman this morning over breakfast. |
dayokanu:Roque's career was truncated by severe knee injuries and City piling on players clearly did not help. David Guiza is not Torres. Torres scored goals consistently for Ath Madrid and Liverpool. |
afrodoc:Why don't you put a 100 grand on it since you seem so damn sure. |
Why does Lamps take free kicks? The effort is just lame. |
I still maintain. Raul Meireles is only marginally better than Ramires. |
BlueDiva:Nice one. ![]() |
BlueDiva:I just wanted to point that AVB is one of the reasons (if not the main reason) Danny is what he is today. Carlo sent him out on loan, picked Kalou ahead of him even when Danny had shown time after time he could do a job. AVB puts faith in him and plays him. Danny then scores a crucial goal and he's the one who saves AVB's job? It's wrong and fickle as the spoilt fans in the stands chanting Mourinho. |
BlueDiva:Diva why do you like to post things like this? |
Simple! Goal. That's what happens when you have Mata sit in the middle. Quick to find a player on the flanks. Helped further by a good player in Ivanovic who knows how to cross. |
Good sub. I suspected. Meireles will sit. I believe we'll switch into a 4-2-1-3 with Danny Drog and Kalou upfront. Mata behind the 3 and Ramires will run forward |
StarBoard:You talk as though players get on the field and decide all they want. You don't think the choice stems from a pre-match decision. Anything just to support your point. |
The commentators wondering how Torres can get a goal with non existent service. |
If only one player in midfield had the skill of David Luiz, we would be a better side honestly. Look at the run. Then he follows it up with a brilliant free kick. |
coogar:Until you put him there and you wonder if he is any better than Malouda. |
coogar:Chelsea don't have a single decent player who can play on the left and provide assists. And I hope people don't come back with the name Malouda. |
@Coogar I wonder you bother. They will not accept all you say. Everyone knows where we all stand. Time will prove us all right or wrong. |
Luiz blesses Torres again. Kick off. |
Strong line up. Ivanovic Cahill Luiz Bertrand Ramires Mikel Meireles Danny Torres Mata |
A lot of people are going to be apologising. |
4llerbuntu:It's on record. There's no Chelsea full time manager Ibime has not had a problem with. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The true position of things. Villas-Boas insists his authority has not been dented by this run of incidents. He said: “I have no less or more authority from the way you are putting it. My authority is total because it's the owner's authority,” he said. “They don't have to back my project,” he added flatly, of the players who are reported to be in dissent of his methods. “It's the owner who backs my project. “I think the owner has full trust in me and will continue to progress with the ideas that we have.” Asked about players who felt that his management 'project' wasn't right for them, Villas-Boas said oniniously: “Two players have already departed, and further will depart in the future and wont make part of the project: which more or less they expect. But this is the reality of any football team.” |
Hehehehe. Unbelievable. |
Now hold on one minute Nateevs. Why did you prevent pages of captivating arguments about why you think we should watch out for this Bramble dude with that comment?I have to watch my back. Dudes are waiting for the next 3-page argument. I refuse to be their source. ![]() PS - there's a fantastic Chelski blog by the swiss rambler today which looks at a lot of the financials. In essence, Chelski may be able to sack AVB and still meet FFP regulations.According to other in-depth analysis I have seen, Chelsea can afford to spend 100m on players yet still meet FFP regulations. However, that is dependent on UEFA allowing the exceptional spending clause to stand i.e. Players bought and contracts signed before 2010 will not be considered on the clubs financial statement. Which means, the contracts of the big earners - Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Cech, Ashley will not count in a typical financial year evaluation from 2013/14. At the time I made those comments, it was not clear to me that this was the case. Many financial analysts have dissected the issue and made more sense of it. There will be even more revelation as many analysts are of the opinion that UEFA may stand down on the exceptional costs clause. |
BlueDiva:Diva, I wanted to reply straight away but I hadn't read about the training ground bust up, so I thought I put the comment on hold. It may be out of date in a few days. At this moment, I have little faith in the restoration of the season. Reports of rows with the manager right in front of RA himself don't make me happy. If anything, it further establishes the issue of player power which I believe for the sustenance of the club, should not be allowed to thrive. These rumours are not helped any further by the comments of FC Porto's President saying that some players have been send text messages to JM to come back. In this situation, the manager's position has been grossly undermined and not much can be expected from anyone. If anything, the players know that if they go out there and just stroll around, the manager will get booted out. We cannot carry on like this. Players must never be allowed to decide who their manager is. They either sit up or walk out. The only way the season is not already destroyed is if RA, right there when everyone was venting their feelings said categorically, 'Hey dudes, I understand your frustration but this is the Manager I have decide to stand by CL or not' . . However, this has not been reported anywhere. RA is the benefactor, the cancer and the cure. I am going to sit back watch our games and take whatever comes. I will enjoy a lot of youth football. Islam Feruz, Lucaz Piazon, Jeremie Boga and John Swift all interest me a lot and hey the new striker we bought Patrick Bramford, please watch out for the dude. He is an interesting prospect. He scored 2 goals in the reserves on his debut. (I didn't mean watch out for him because he scored 2 goals). |
debosky:Simple mate. Losses incurred in the 2010/11 season has nothing to do with the FFP. If we were going to make changes then, it was the perfect timing. However, I didn't think then that we would be in this position one year down the line. That further more strengthens my everlasting position of not always resorting to firing as a solution. I am not saying that AVB should never be fired if things become immensely irreparable, I am just saying that the only thing we've never tried is not firing someone after a run of bad performances. |
