What happened to the shape keeper? DROGBA has silenced you all.

The problem with Chelsea is fernando torres

Which was the other game Lampard was benched?
Drogba didn't silence me.
I am not sure anyone ever criticised Drogba scoring ability.
Not one person! Drogba is a top professional and goal scorer.

Lamps not actually benched against Newcastle.
Taken off on 60'
Some of us just want other things.

Please don't try to convince them. When dude starts to bang in goals, they will chill.
Meanwhile 2 weeks ago, some were saying AVB didn't know what he was doing.
Now they are sahring in the happiness. . .

Chelsea through jor! Roll on Boas!

Lampard benched 2 games in a row, Chelsea win 3-0.
Some people are going to die. . . Hehehehe.

Meanwhile standing ovation for Drogba. Pure Class!
Step aside fake midfielders, Mata is in the building jor!

Ibime:
If you've been following events, you would see it was AVB who deemed them surplus to requirements. Its been known since summer that AVB wanted to replace Alex. Also for the last 2 months, AVB has been playing Malouda (to negative effect) on an almost weekly basis whilst Anelka does not make squad. My question is why AVB chose them for replacement and not Ferreira, Malouda, Kalou and Bosingwa.

I thought you replace the absolute weakest first before looking at those who can actually make a positive contribution.

Statement from Anelka on twitter:

"The club, which is going through a difficult time, has decided to play with the players of Chelsea's future and, because I am a big professional, I accept this decision"

Nateevs, did you go to school at all? How else can you interpret this statement?

It is absolutely criminal that in a struggling team, complete duds like Malouda get chances whilst game-changers like Anelka are sidelined.

AVB should start his replacement with Ferreira, Malouda, Bosingwa, Kalou and Mikel. As far as I am concerned, Alex and Anelka are either genuine first teamers or valuable squad players. They can be replaced (as every older player must), but they are not first in line.
Hey dude stop chatting shyte. AVB never wanted to offload Alex in the summer. If he did, Alex would be gone. In fact the talks of Alex leaving had been building before Carllotti left with Juve expressing interests. Juve approached Chelsea and they were told to cough out £10m but Juve were looking at more of a loan deal with an option to buy. AVB would have conceded to a loan deal like he did with Benayoun if Alex was that much out of favour. Hell even Zenith's bid was rejected because the offer was too small. That AVB wanted to send Alex packing so desperately cannot be proved pal. AVB was not even in the market for a backup defender. He instead allowed Tomas Kalas to go on loan.

On Anelka, I see how you cunningly ignore the first line of Anelka,s statement in a bid to blame AVB for everything.

"I've known for a little while where I'll be on 2 January," said Anelka. "The club, which is going through a difficult time, has decided to work with Chelsea's players of the future and, as I am a good professional, I've accepted this." . . .

Yeah so by the look of the first part of Anelka's statement, it seems really clear that he handed in a transfer request because he's sidelined. . . . Gosh!

That said, Anelka, Drogba, Kalou, Bosingwa, Alex, Ferreira if the rumours are to be believed, have all been put onthe January transfer list. I wonder why Malouda is not on it. At this point, I am less bothered about who are not out of favour. I am more interested in the revolution that's begun. If Josh and Lukaku would be allowed to go on loan and at least Drogba and Kalou not available during the ACN, Chelsea will need to sign at least 5 players. I am curious toi see what happens.

Whatever the case, you know who i am backing on this. This revolution has been due for a long time.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 4:12pm On Dec 04, 2011
So AVB wrote the transfer requests for them and handed them over to the board?
AVB must be the reason Drogba also rejected the Chelsea offer and said through his agent "We will go for whoever offers the most money"

This AVB sha?

i think he sensed newcastle were done n dusted.
they had lost all their centre-backs so villas-boas musta felt even if they score, chelsea would still have had enough chances to score 2 or 3.

with coloccini on the pitch, drogba wouldn't have scored a free header.
I honestly was not questioning the reason behind the change but the change itself.
At this moment in Chelsea's season. We have to wrap up the game.
Mata will not die or tire from two games in four days.
If we win both games and lose to City, we would have done well.

Statistically, we are more likely to concede than score.
If we had drawn or lost that game, we will be low on confidence going into the game mid-week and confidence at this moment in time is far more important than fit and fresh players.

Ok Help me understand, For Torres to score from a free 20 yards run, he has to have a free run and the defender runs away from him?

INTERESTING
Another round of crap. No it doesn't mean he has to be entirely free.
It means with a man on him he has a chance of scoring as much as a chance of missing. . . and on this occasion, he missed but he still had the intelligence to find an assist which ultimately won the game.

Ask your brother coogar the difference between managing a team for a full season and playing fantasy football

A Managers biggest game comes in 3 days time and he should play his est players for 90mins in a league game where a loss even doesnt mean he cant win.

Meanwhile a bad result on Tuesday means he is out of the CL

No wonder you argue the way you do. Lack of basic football knowledge
Hehehe. Analysis.
Talk about managing a team for a season.

A team that's lost 5 in the last 9 games does not need confidence to go into a crucial CL game abi?
If Chelsea had lost today, the odds of losing midweek are even greater and we could have lost it if one of those missed shots from Ameobi had gone in.

I can understand if Mata had not played at all or if we were 2 or 3 nil up but with one nil, dude you please spare me.
Don't make yourself look more special than you really are. . . You consistent selective retention does not do your argument any justice.

This has got nothing to do with managerial insight, it's just perspective dude!

Torres was released early like you always advocated,  had a free 20yard run on goal one on one with a defender which you said he excels in yet he botched the chance

And you want us to give credit to him for that?
No we shouldn't. We should give it to Drogba!

Crude analysis.
Because a Striker excels at a particular style of scoring means he has to always get it right.
He still had the technique to put it right and get the assist.

I can imagine how you run commentary till midweek if Drogba was in that same position. . .
This was your reaction to a Drogba miss when he could have at least hit the target.

Drogba awesome chest control , SHot off target
Talk about selective reasoning!

dayo, what can you say about the assist from torres?

if that was sturridge, he would attempt a second shot.
that's the difference. there are strikers who play for the good of the team, there are strikers who just want all the glory to themselves.

hahaha - sturridge scores after 7 chances.
useless striker. i would bench him for 3 games. the moment he cuts in, he shoots at goal.
Selective attention. Watch him come to give Drogba praise for the assist.

If a college near you offers clases in common sense, you should definitely enroll

Drogba took a right footed shot, Drogba took a left footed shot wit a space of a few mins

The amount of crap you alone have spewed on this thread is mind boggling

Seriously? Which football analyst should be asking this question when the most important match of the season comes up in Tuesday you want him to overuse his armoury?

Good to know the kind of ppl one discuss footie with online.

Some are just lacking simple knowledge of the game
Evidently with Mata out of the game now, Newcastle have reason to push up and their ball retention has increased in midfield pushing us backwards and causing us to make even more mistakes. So would it not be a good idea to fully wrap up this game and then focus on midweek especially when over 80% of our chances so far have come from Mata?

Is this part difficult for you to see?

You are a clear id10t with selective reasoning, memory and attention.
I do not expect you to see the scuffed left footed shot from outside the 18 on Newcastle's left.
A needless one when passing the ball could have been better.

Only that you sound like someone who has absolutely no knowledge of the game and makes analysis not based on things that happen on the field of play but from scenarios you have pre-recorded on your head

What was physical about that header? That is simple technique. A ball was floated in, Drogba weighed in with a powerful header. Its either you know how to or you do not. We have small nimble players who are quite good aerially

Roberto Ayala and Fabio Canavaro easily comes to mind. I guess to our resident DSTV days analyst nateevs you have to be built like incredible HULK to have the heading technique

And the rest of what you wrote, How pedantic. Why do you bother making all the noise about Lampard this, Drogba that, AVB this? Even people who benefit from their career don't make much noise like you.

When your hollow analysis has been found out you easily like many hollow and not-too-smart commentators bring the cop out phrase "What do you benefit" from the players
STFU negro. Even a woman knows when to be silent.

Truth hurts I guess. Torres would never have been in a position to make that header in the first place maybe somewhere in midfield keeping shape
Torres is the biggest problem of this club
Meanwhile Drogba with a wonderful interception Lampard makes the pass to Sturridge but Krul makes a great save
All these possible because our shape keeper is out
Are you telling us what we all do not know?
Drogba is far more physical that Torres and 100 times more likely to score that than Torres.

However, to spend literally your whole life speaking about what is not news and what will not benefit you in anyway, I cannot understand.
Even the people that benefit from Torres and Drogba don't take this much Phensic for their headache.
On this issue, you sound like a jobless, fussy, housewife and mother of 6, it's beginning to verge on the realms of nagging.
