Malouda is not covering for Ashley at all.
I think with a bit pace in attack we can push them back.

Joe should come on for Deco. (though he's had a good game so far).
I also want to see what Zhirkov can do on the left of the diamond. He's got the pace to attack and also fall back to cover for Ashley. WE shouldn't allow Gabby to force Ashley into conceding another foul. . .

@Debo & Duduspace.

What exactly are these guys on about?
I am running an update about how our reserves did and all you want to do is argue.

I said boys from the youth team got chances because some players were away. It is a report to get fellow Chelsea fans get acquainted with the goings-on in the youth and reserves not an excuse as to why we lost.

Who cares if the reserves win? I only look at the performances of the individual players that are considered ready or near ready for the first team. I am also looking at how they respond to tactics and what position is best for which players. You guys can rejoice all you like about reserves' triumphs . . . after all what else can you celebrate about?

Get your sorry arses out of here and do something worth while.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by nateevs(op): 3:14pm On Oct 08, 2009
YOUTH FOOTBALL.

The reserves lost 2-0 to Arsenal. Many boys from the youth and Academy got fair chances because many of the reserves were either injured or on loan.

Ryan Bertrand, Patrick Van Aanholt, Jack Cork, Jacob Mellis, Liam Bridcutt, Lee Sawyer, Tom Taiwo, Franco DiSanto and Miroslav Stoch are all on loan. Gael Kakuta is banned. Michael Woods and Nana Ofori Twumasi were with the England team in the U-20 world cup.

So a few of the Academy boys have been given opportunities in the reserves. I'd like to comment of the performances of those I think can make it.

Once again, Jeffery Bruma and Sam Hutchinson proved why Ancellotti thinks they are ready. Fabio Borini had a decent game but couldn't do a lot as he was short of supply in the 4-3-2-1 system.

Matic, maybe due to his recovery from injury was anonymous throughout the game had a few decent passes but his performance was just as shabby as Joe Cole's. Although it's Nemanja's first game since his injury while playing for his national team at the European Cup.

Nikky Ahmed had a very good game at RB . . Gordon at left back was brilliant.

Philliskirk like Ballack sometimes. . runs a lot and has an awesome first touch but I many times fail to see his influence on the game.

Bruma hit the wood work with a free-kick in a specialist fashion. (If that's how he takes his free kicks then he's going to be one hell of a free-kick taker - a rare thing for a central defender). He took a second one in the match but couldn't get it over the bar.

Sam got injured in the tie and has since pulled out from the U-21 squad to play Macedonia on Friday. However, Daniel Sturridge, Michael Mancienne, Ryan Bertrand and Jack Cork are all in the squad to play Macedonia.

Danny Mills came in as a sub when Sam got injured. Oh this guy had a fantastic game against Wolves last week. I have my eye on him.

Others I have my eye on are:-

Gokhan Tore. I reported his transfer on the forum last year. I am very keen to see what he will do. I watched him a couple times last season in the academy and he had a decent game against Wolves last week.

Nikki Ahamed, this fella if nurtured, is a Bosingwa in the making can also play a holding role. Though I think his style fits the RB better.

Milan Lalkovic. - Dude got blinding speed, trickery and an eye for goal. Struck the bar against Wolves but only played as a sub against Arsenal. Very similar in style to Borini.

Marko Mitrovic. - Hope he continues to develop.

We have one idiot that we should never have signed. . . . Not the boys from the academy ( I can't condemn kids yet) . . I am ashamed to say this in public but Ross Turnbull should never have been allowed to play football. Dude is so wack, it's unbelievable. He had the most disastrous outing I ever seen a goalie have against the reserves of Aston Villa . . 3 mistakes in a row and conceded 3 goals. He also made another mistake against Arsenal and caused a goal.

He should not be allowed near a goal post in the first team until he can sort his issues out. Rhys Taylor is a far better goalie. . and Cech's fellow man Jan Sebek is decent and developing well.

Where is that guy who was making noise about the future "World Class players" in the Chelsea team? our reserve team just dealt with your reserve team in the Reserve league. 2-0 was the final score. All those guys yu were hypeing Borini, Hutchinson and more importantly Joe Cole were in that team that was given a soccer lesson by our young lads.
Mumuface. . .
I thought you were here to talking about how Liverpool will school us. . .
Oh yours is easier to forget abi?

I watched the match live and was more concerned with the performances of the players closer to first team appearances. Who cares if your reserves beat us?
If it doesn't translate to victories in first team who go cry?

Terry and Carv was off the chain. . made Torres look like Shevchenko.
Ballack was very very very immense. . . brought strength to the midfield. . .

And the king Drog. . . What can I say?

Anelka tired out the back four. . . and what technique to take that goal.
Essien. .

Infact everyone was great. . .
