ritchboy:
We live in the present so any trophy you win, be it in 2009 or 1909 IS PAST GLORY!
so Mr Nateevs, can you kindly tell me the difference between past glory and current glory?
but of course, it will be very convenient for a chelsea fans definition of 'current glory' to be 2004/2005-2008/2009.

the difference between arsenal and nottingham forest is arsenal still compete for european footballs top honors. . . forest dont.
Your ignorance is of all men most astonishing . . .
You can put people to sleep with your posts.

According to your analogy "2004/2005 and 2008/2009". . ManU's CL win is past glory. . . ManU's league win is past glory. Chelsea's FA cup win is past glory.

Unbelievable. . Only from an Arsenal fan do you see such crap.

So after 10 years of Arsenal not winning a trophy, those that won two trophies two before that time will classed in the same bracket as Arsenal.

Past glory is past glory.

Hey Chac. . . . Ritchboy just called your CL triumph past glory.

Unimaginable crap. . . . I am laughing in Oron!

Even you with your rose tinted glasses should be able to see it. I'll illustrate it for you in a simple mathematical equation.

1. Aged team with most players past their sell by date.

+

2. Transfer ban preventing you from bringing in new players with your money miss road spending

=

3. Influx of your youth team players into your squad (such as we are already seeing in your recent Carling cup outing). Our Youth team is officially the best at Under 18 level (winning both the League and the Youth cup last year) followed closely by Liverfool and Tottenham so no hope for you in that direction. You are actually now closer to relegation than to winning anything ceteris paribus
This is where I know you don't know what you are saying.
Players past there sell by date. . . You mean the following:-

Drogba - He's scored 6 goals in 7 games.
Lampard - The most consistent midfielder in Europe . . . 20 goals a season over the past five seasons.
Ballack - he is not a starter. . . but still puts in consistent performances. Moreover, every serious team should have one Ballack.
Carvalho - alongside Terry had conceded only 2 goals in the Prem before the Wigan game. . . best defensive record in the premiership SO FAR
Anelka - Highest goal scorer last season.

Now which other players could be past their sell by date? Deco will be gone next season. . . Please tell me the players that are past . . You talk so much of what you don't know.

Your youth won whatever, and Liverpool and Tottenham . . . OK did you know that Liverpool and Tottenham have been the highest spenders in the premiership over the last 3 seasons? What happened to their youth system? Name one young player that has made it to their first team.

And name one young player in your youth team that has shocked the world. . . or will shock the world in the next five years. Name just one. So much for your best academy.

We don't blow our trumpet with our youth - You will see how they emerge one after another. Sturridge, Matic, Kakuta, DiSanto, Stoch, Bruma, Hutchinson, Borini. You wait and see.

And you don't know jack about the transfer ban. Chelsea is going to put in an appeal before November and that immediately puts the transfer on hold. In that time Chelsea can transfer who they like or have pre-agreements and still bring players in. Meanwhile Chelsea can prove they signed Kakuta with the authority of the French FA.

I wonder what you say when after all we don't get banned for a single day.

Man Utd was a much better side no doubt about it. . . so unless you are claiming Wigan is a better side with a world player of the year in their ranks, your comparison is not only unfortunate, it's pitiful.

Arsenal beaten by reigning CL champions being compared to Chelski losing woefully to Wigan? Wonders will never cease. cheesy

Again, I give you the same assignment as I gave lether boy - when your team wins a quarter of the titles we've won in the next 50 years come and talk. grin
The same champions got beaten by new-comers Burnley. . . Did they have the world player of the year. ?
Does that stop them from winning a trophy . . ? What's all this nonsense talk all for the love of Chelsea hate-talk. ?

And I say to you . . . Nottingham Forest had glory in the past . .
Imagine them telling Arsenal when you win the CL come back and talk to us. . . Nottingham Forest?

Past Glory is just what it is . . Past Glory !
The only thing that preserves past glory is retirement. . . and as long as you are in the game past glory is inconsequential in today's game. .

Until another club achieves it, y'all are shower of self-service.

When Ronaldo left in June, i was where when y'all were creaming one another that the title is def'ly going to SB.
Which other excuse are y'all going to spew should Chelsea fail to win the title this term?

I will take losing 4 consecutive games and winning a TITLE than the shower of shit at the Bridge?
Don't u guys have any shame? 3 good seasons without a TITLE and you are yet to show any seriousness that you would win this.
When Mourinho ran away with 2 titles on a spin in 2005 and 2006. . . . .United rose to the challenge and led the table from Sep- May.
SAF did not allow Jose Mourinho at any time to tie him on points throughout the season.

Chelsea will not take ALL the 3 points next week. . . . . .Any takers?[/quote]This an absolute load of bollocks. . .

What other seriousness do want from the bridge to win the title this season. Win 7 out of 7?
You don't need to oppose with your eyes closed. . . We've answered every questions asked of us so far this season and we still yet to show any seriousness that we want to win it? What are you on about?

You of all people talk about early days in the prem and you are here spewing dust after 7 matches. .
It's only early days when Utd is coming from behind. . It's not when they are on top even though there are 29 matches to go. . .

Injuries and suspensions are still going to get the better of every one . . . Those only that have depth will stand out.
I can't begin to give you instances or permutation of events that could truncate your season.

We lost a match and you lost a match . . so far we've both been blazing . . . nothing much to read from it.

So now we won't pick up 3 points against pool. . . . I thought it was becoming to become general belief that we were losing . .
You have never seen me take a bet on Liverpool and I am not about to do it. . .

Come Sunday 7pm we will know. . . That's all I will say.

Ask Nateevs who thinks Ballack doesnt matter in the Chelsea set up.
The Black Nazi is here again. I tell you Ballack is an important part of Chelsea but not like you make it. Ballack still isn't as important as Drogba, Lamaprd, Essien and Terry.

Also I do not believe that Ballack alone would have gone on to score 3 goals to win the match. The sluggishness would have infected him as well.

What you are talking about is hope rather than fact. Next weekend could come around and we are in good form and we give Liverpool a spanking.
There's no way you'll know that.

It's easy for you to look at 6 straight wins with ignominy . . . yet you find a mountain of facts in a one loss. It's so amazing how the emotions and false hopes in opposing fans shadow their football insights.

Liverpool lost to Tottenham that Chelsea spanked . . as did ManU to Burnley that Chelsea spanked as well. Football is not math. .

Get a grip man.

Even if Cech wasn't sent off. The best we could have gotten out of the match is a draw. Maybe we could have found some last minute pressure and we'll snatch a draw.

We looked absolutely off it. The rested on their achievements and strolled all through. No sense of urgency. At a point I thought some of them where on a mission of sabotage.

We got a big humiliation by thinking we were there and deservedly so. It's only painful to a fan that this is how we eventually dropped points.
More points are going to be dropped so no celebrations yet.

Liverpool next week and we have to be blazing on all fronts. All fronts.

it's nice to see that we can be disgraced even when all things are going right. I hope that sends a message home to Carllotti and the boyz. One CL match next week and the real test begins.

We stood up after a fall before and even strongly so there's no cause for alarm. We'll be back and to claim what we deserve.
