Ok,if u want to bring up the Comm shield, its still almost the same thing. We still missed some players, and Pompey had more to play for than this Prem opening game tongue And,United was still away from home.

So still not a fair comparison grin
So we are ahead 3-0 because pompey has less to play for.

Well it's all going well.

Let's not get too carried away. It's just a start, though we've done better than ManU with the same team.
Oh yeah definitely there are going to be some days were we think  . What the hell have we been playing? One thing we must not forget though is that it is not just some temporary will to impress being expressed by the players, it's the mentality of the manager and the way he plays. . no matter what, whether we win or lose, this is the way we will continue to play.

Gerraway grin You guys are in England,in your own backyard. United waz in hot, steamy Africa, miles from home, and missing some of our key players. Most of your key players are present. So what's your point? Make fair comparisons jo.
ummmmhh!!!! Were you reffering to the community shield?

Shushhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

We have been doing that for the last 2 seasons with Rooney n Ronaldo.
The best football in this country is at Old Trafford.
Evra raiding and supplying the ammo to the HOLY TRINITY.
Letz see how it goes after MATCHDAY 10. . . . This might be a purple patch for Chelsea. grin
If you've been doing it for 2 seasons, what makes you think we'l stumble by the 10th match. Plus Robinho might still be coming in?
Jackal go and get ready for your defeat.

As amazing as Chelsea has been, let's still not forget that this is a very sleepy Pompey, and this is SB. If y'all were up against a team with more verve, not saying you would lose, but there will be more of a challenge.

For today's game, this is just a training session.
Actually for me it's getting too one-sided it's becoming boring. I want to see some competition then, you'l see even better football.

This is exactly what I have seen all along . . breath-taking!!!!! Who bloody says you can't have good football and win?

@Jackal

This type of football confuses the opponent and also tires them. . . Harry, I think was expecting a more direct, route-one football kind of Chelsea. . he wasn't prepared.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 2:10pm On Aug 17, 2008

We played rubbish against Birmingham last season.

@Jackal

Is it what you know or what you can see. . tell me where the 3 in attack is? Deco has got a free role . . . .
Defensively it'l be siucidal for you to have advancing full backs in a 4-3-3 with slow midfielders. Deco, Ballack. because you have already 3 players committed forwards. . this to me is not a 4-3-3

Stop blowing ya trumpet!!!

You are playing Pompey @ SB , first game of the season!!!
What do u expect? A Pompey victory??
The only good thang i can see here is there's no negative football again.
Ashley Cole n Bosingwa are getting forward very well. . . .It's like Evra and Neville. grin cheesy
Blowing ma trumpet ? Are you kidding me? This is my team . . who's shall I blow?

3 weeks ago you told me you wanted to see Chelsea against Distin and Campbell and then you tell me neva to bank on pre-seasons. . . now you think it's "ONLY POMPEY". . .?

Jackal I go ban your username ooooo!!!!

nateevs!

its 4-3-3

anelka alone, deco and cole supporting!
Common man, it's no 4-3-3. . Scolari hardly plays it. Deco's free role cannot be ignored. Cole is flat on the attack with Anelka. It makes no sense to have a deco on the attack of a 4-3-3. . It's under-utilization of a seasoned Central midfielder. If you wanted a 4-3-3, it's easy to take Ballack out replace him with Deco and bring in Malouda to have a flat 4-3-3 with Anelka and Cole . .

Cheese n Rice. . . . .

This is a new-improved Chelsea.
Sleek passing, samba-style with the 2 full-backs getting forward as quickly as possible.
Jose Mourinho should be ashamed of himself.
I tried to point that out several times during the pre-seasons. . . In one of your famous reponses, I was just over-hyping an average performance with an obviuos weak chinese team.

Actually watching it live now . . you can tell I was correct. I watched the pre-seasons well enough to know how Deco can be deployed.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 10:49pm On Aug 16, 2008
As the season kicks off, we present to the world a brand new Chelsea. . With a brand new style . .
With all players ready to go. . (Bosingwa back training after injury and only Drogba of the lot still injured), it promises to be an exciting season.

The major performers of the season in my opinion are going to be Deco, Mikel, Bosingwa, Ashley Cole, Ivanovic, DiSanto, Anelka and Malouda. . strange but true. I say this becos I have seen how they blend with the LFS scope. Having said that, I expect the best from all the boys.

I also expect at least 2 trophies , which must include the premiership. I say it time and time again, ManU ain't gat nuffin on us!

Tomorrow's 3 points should be a realistic target and the unbeaten home record starting to count again with 83 matches unbeaten at home.

I expect us to line up like this.

-------------------------------Cech----------------------------------

Ivanovic---------Carvalho-------Terry---------------Cole

--------------------------Mikel--------------------------

--------Deco----------------------Lampard---------

Joe/SWP------------------------------------------Malouda

---------------------------Anelka--------------------------

When Kalou or Drogba returns, LFS is going to return to 4-1-3-2. Tomorrow, we are waiting.
