Yes he got his wish. . .
The last two years will be his pension.

In any case I noticed the immense partnership between Deco and Lampard in the pre-seasons and I feel that if they can carry that form into teh premiership, we will give them a run for their money. . .

Welcome back Lampard. . even though I wanted you to go.

@Jackal

What type of BEING are you?

Look,you can make an assessment of your abilities in order to help uncover your purpose. These gifts can be a clue to your purpose; they can help you fulfill whatever it is you believe you are here to do. Talents might include athletic abilities, dexterity,INSULTS , musical talent, taste, artistic abilities, a sense of humor, comfort with numbers, and so on. Make a mental list, or write on a sheet of paper, at least five of your talents. The items on your list and the relative strength of each of them become part of what makes you unique as a person.

Many people cannot identify five talents. Perhaps this is the first time you have taken the time to think about your talents. Perhaps you minimize or ignore them because they come easily to you. This is a way you diminish yourself and mask your passion. But when something comes easily to you, this is a clue that it is one of your talents. Armed with this basic self-awareness, you can make an impact in the world.
Another way to get a handle on your abilities is to pick out five people who know you very well and ask them these questions:

• What do you think makes me special?
• Do you think there is anything about me that is unique?
• What are my talents?

Write down the answers they give you and compare these to your own list. Think about your skills, which are competencies that come from training, experience, or education. Take an inventory of the skills you know you have. Write them down on a sheet of paper.

Jackal Identify confluences between your skills and talents as a method of uncovering a potential purpose. If you have a skill as a writer and a talent for communication, for example, perhaps your purpose in life will be as a journalist. Or perhaps you will create a world-changing blog. Try to develop skills in areas where you have talents and let your purpose emerge. Your unique blend of talents and skills will provide a clue to your passions.

The destination is not the ultimate aim. The joy comes from the journey. Purpose is bound up in the process. You need to Grow up babyboy okay.

@Dr Kitaun

Same goes to you . Scumberg!

@Ibime,

I am not quite sure but I think I saw the Farfan story. . . .

@Wormy

It was so hard to swallow you know. . . they have actually signed him.

@Somze,

We played a depleted Milan side but the good thing remains that a few years ago (even last season) we would not have beaten them more than 1-0. . if we beat them. To think of it, the team we beat contained Flamini, Pirlo, Maldini, Gatusso and Seedorf. . . that's quite decent. Unfortunately I can't catch up with much of the details of pre-season anyone more because I dey the land of no light and internet. . . I dey return to base soon. .
Meanwhile tell everyone that has got ears. . . Chelsea is different.

Chelsea beat Malaysia XI today 2-0. . . Goals by Anelka and Ashley Cole. . . Didn't get to see the match as I thought I would cos I am currently in the land with no Light, no ChelseaTV and little or no Internet, so could not even link up with ChelseaPlus (onlineTV). . .

I'ld get some highlights and we'l reflect on the match.

@Akola

"Such a massive margin" I meant was against a weaker side. . not a premiership side like man-city. Like I mentioned earlier, we have never been a high scoring side; and meeting clubs like Hull, Barnsley should normally mean a feast of goals. . but it doesn't happen that way for some reason. In the past years, we have found it really hard to beat weaker teams real good.

I need to see Chelsea strikers against Sol CapmpBell and Distin on the opening day of the PREM.
The scoreline flatters Scolari and his lads. . . . . .My pub team woulda done a better job. cheesy cheesy

The only difference i can see here is Chelsea don't play one route football again.
Thatz a PLUS. cool
Well that's good thing to propose. . but you need a good start to be comfortable against big start. The big difference I see here is this is perhaps the very first time our pre-season is getting decent awareness on this forum plus the first time Chelsea winning by such a massive margin making the opposition look like school boys. We played Suwon wings last year and managed to beat them ony 1-0; they were not even any stronger than these teams we have played. . .

Well that said,  our next is on Tuesday against Maylasia XI and then it's Locomotive Moscow on Aug 1 and then Milan or Seville. I bet it gets harder and then we can begin to analyse proper. .

Thanks for the spotting the difference to one-route football. . I hated one-route

@Akola,

I hope you are not waiting in the corner waiting for us to fail so that you can say "I TOLD YOU" grin grin
LFS deserves our support. Let's give him a chance. When TSO came in, we knew he was going to do well but we didn't know he was going to win back to back titles. . . I even favoured him to win the champions league before premiership. . . So who knows? We could n=win the premiership back2back again. .
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 7:46pm On Jul 26, 2008
Manager's use pre-season games to test formations. Jelling, establishing a competitive spirit and most importantly match fitness are also reasons why pre-seasons should take place. Imagine starting a new season without pre-season friendlies.
So if it matters to the managers, coaching crew and the players themselves, who am I to say these matches are of no consequence? I am moved because this the only opportunity I can get to see my team play and analyse how they can before the season begins proper. . for example who would have thot DiSanto can play with the first team and get 2 goals in two games? With that, I can tell to a decent extent, the possiblitites during the seaon and when a manager makes a strange sub, I can say yes I saw that in pre-season before I start calling for lightening and thunder strikes for such actions.

Am I excited with the scoreline? Well yes and no!. . . .
1. No!!!! because it's a weak opposition. Maybe they tried to give a fight but their fight wasn't good enough.
2. Yes!!!! because this is the first time I see us performing like a top team. when top teams meet teams they can beat, they beat them silly. . and boy am I happy about that.

This time last year we drew 1-1 in pre-season with some strange team from space . . with all our top stars playing and everyone said that's the beginning of the end of Chelsea . . how can they draw blah blah blah. . but now it's different. This gives me the confidence that if we meet Barnsley in the FA 5th round again, we will beat them silly. . because the team is more attack minded. .

World Class display by Joe Cole on the far left flank to release overlapping Carvalho. . Carvalho crosses into 18yrd-box. . . Defender makes mistake . . DiSanto takes full chance and very smartly slots the ball high into the left corner of goal with fierce left shot. .

DiSanto 5-0

Ok . . Ivanovic moves to central defence. . and Essien to right back. . these permutations are good to see how a team can play when it is stretched.

Anelka off. . . . DiSanto on. . .
Cech off. . . HILARIOus on
