Ambode has really messed up Lagos... canceling Lawma, starting other massive road and transport projects while abandoning the ones the previous administration started The Badagry express way should have been completed by now, that blue line should have been completed by now, the Jetties should have been completed by now and the water ways opened up But nope, Oga decided to privatize Lawma and cut work by half on the projects of the previous administration, then go starting up other masive projects thereby throwing the whole state in disarray, Dude even wanted to start the 4th mainland bridge! When Badagry express way is left unfinished!. |

But if you have a thorough bred tempramental Rott and is Unchained... it will take about 10 brave men to hang it like this. |

Politics › Re: Nigeria Abstains, As 49 AU Members Sign Free Trade Pact by natznext(m): 3:15pm On Jul 04, 2018 |
pennyforthought: Pretty simple
1) If the agreement had been signed they'd have access to 1.2 billion customers across Africa and 200 million in Nigeria itself 2) Unlike most others, Nigeria is self sufficient owing to the agricultural land and resource availability, its just badly managed 3) Good rail networks can be built, Nigeria is big but not too big and borders west Africa which would be the biggest target market. It also has developed ports to sell to South and East Africa 4) Electricity is a problem but foreign investment could fix that 5) Nigeria destroyed our own manufacturing base. Foreign investment could have fixed that 6) Most importantly the largest number of poor people in the world. Very cheap labor
The way I see it the most sensible places to start manufacturing would be Nigeria, Kenya, etc. Nigeria with our large population and resources could have been the number 1 choice. everything you've outlined makes sense, except that this is nigeria, Sense does not work here... lets be realistic, all these things we haven't been able to build until now will now be built in a few years? foreign investors will have to come n build rail n IPPs? when there re other african countries that already have most of these things in place with a more stable economy and safe environment... How safe re you in your area? |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Abstains, As 49 AU Members Sign Free Trade Pact by natznext(m): 2:26pm On Jul 04, 2018 |
Somebody is running all over this thread spitting rubbish...
Why would foreign investors use this country as base over other African countries?
why?
The population? nope, the now have a bigger combined market
Good road/rail network? Nope, we're about the worst in africa
Stable Electricity? Nope, we can't even meter everyone
Security? we kill ourselves daily
Somebody with sense please give me one good reason...
we still import everything
we don't have anything to export, because cost of production is usually high and same goods can be produced for cheaper somewhere else in Africa and dumped in Nigeria |
Celebrities › Re: D&G Photo Of Wizkid Sold Online By Getty Images For N130k by natznext(m): 7:42pm On Jun 19, 2018 |
king1234: what it will cost for a single magazine to get a picture of the D&G event.
1. they will hire a photographer(monthly salary + pensionable benefits) 2. They will purchase plane ticket to the various locations fashion shows are holding 3. they will pay for hotel, feeding and all the materials the photographer will require while on location 4. they also suffer the risk that the image the photographer took may not be the best or worse his camera is stolen
add up the cost above vs $300+ (for the best picture available) and tell me if that picture is cheap or expensive
you can see the value proposition getty image presents to those who are looking for images.
no need to hire in-house photographer, no risk of loss as getty image has many photographers on contract and buy the best pictures, no need to cover multiple events as getty image has photographers in many countries at same time..so as a business that picture is cheap Mannnnnnnnn! You go explain tire oooo... Just seat back n watch our people display ignorance with confidence Plus this is enough reason to see that it's not worth it to engage most people up here Blogs like TMZ n shaderoom will pay to use that picture in their blog post, Vogue Magazine featured those pictures already, where they got theirs i don't know, but it definitely cost them money. |

Business › Re: Six Ways To Sustain Your Motivation As An Entrepreneur by natznext(m): 10:07am On Apr 10, 2018 |
magazineguy: The ability to stay motivated as an entrepreneur is as tasking as staying hydrated in the scorching desert sun. It is an act of sustaining focus and drive while working towards achieving your goals amidst challenges and uncertainties. Entrepreneurs don’t succeed out of the knowledge or information they possess alone but mostly as a result of positive drive and motivation.
As rightly put by Roy T. Bennett he said “if you don’t give up on something you truly believe in, you will find a way”.
Motivation is what distinguishes entrepreneurs from people who have merely but dreams, “motivation will almost always beat mere talent” were the words of Norman Ralph Augustine that confirms successful entrepreneurs should strive to always maintain high level of motivation. Below are six ways to sustain your motivation as an entrepreneur:
See the big picture
If you can always picture what a great future looks like, your level of optimism will be high. Motivation sometimes comes with the end result of our goal, attaining societal status and wealth are what comes with success in entrepreneurship and the desire to attain these feats can help motivate you positively.
Keep a great team
In business, your team is a catalyst to how far you can go and how motivated you can be at every particular time. Group encouragement and hard work are the characteristics of a great team.
Take pride in your success
When you have reached a milestone, develop a sense of pride in the success achieved and work towards attaining higher heights.
Strive for excellence
Excellence is a source of motivation too, knowing that nobody or only a few people are better than you at what you do can also be a good source of motivation. In the words of Abraham Lincoln he said “whatever you are, be a good one”.
Keep stress at its lowest level
Stress depresses people and takes away their optimism, learn to relieve yourself of stress by finding ways to unwind or exercising regularly.
Mission is key to success
As rightly put by Zig Ziglar he said “outstanding people have one thing in common. An absolute sense mission.
