Nusaf:I believe we will both agree that if the govt gets her policies right, all such monies will happily find their way into the system. When the policies are as experienced, then people will rather speculate than allow their money enter into the cycle. |
Nusaf:And who are these moneys deposited with? |
GenOrumov:Yea bro, had my reasons for putting that up. The CBN lists the amount held by the government as the foreign reserves. But then where do the bank's hold their foreign exchange. That post was meant to show that there is more foreign exchange within the system than the government songs to our ears. |
Marpol:And with whom do the bank's keep these depositors funds? Okay thanks bro, I had to look up our own cbn's definition of reserves which you quoted. So as it is we have over $40billion in the system but government declare her own part. 47 to 68 billion usd doesn' t seem like we should be having forex scarcity or claim to be broke |
Marpol:And with whom doe the bank's keep these depositors funds? |
Mods, this is FrontPage deserving, can you kindly give this wider readership for meaningful deliberations. Thank You. Cc: lalasticlala Mynd44 OAM4J |
I thought CBN said Nigerians have $20billion sitting idle in their accounts, remittances from diaspora for 2015 was $21billion, so why is the reserve still around $27billion? Lies everywhere!!!!! |
saintneo:Hehehe cool my brother. Thanks |
koboko69:Wisdom is knowing that a leader with clue would have adroitly handled situations and the country will never get to this point but when an all knowing general comes in to implement several policies at the same time without any provisions to ameliorate the effect on the citizenry, end result is what we are experiencing. Isn't it a shame that at a time when pump prices are cheapest the world over, Nigerians are made to sleep at the fuel stations to get the product. The world will be looking at us right now in pity , saying why are these people cursed with bad leaders. |
koboko69:. We are talking fuel queue here, you are quibbling over semantics. I tire |
Obama: He is doing a really good job Trudeau: Yes indeed Zombies (replying live from fuel queue): Even America knows that Buhari is doing excellently. Voice of Reason (the citizen): I have been on this queue since 5am. As number 76 and to buy the fuel at 200Naira a litre. Oh dogged supporter "where is thy sense?" |
SleekMallam:Hehehe Obama says he is doing a really good job. And Trudeau responds oh yes indeed without even bothering to have a chitchat with bubu. Those men will be laughing at the man from daura in their closets |
obiak4:Hehehe hilarious |
fulanimafia:Or the rice in your zombie meetings. My friend, a trip without any actions taken is same as attending a nuclear summit. Moreover you are trying to tell me that BABA can stabilize oil prices and we have been suffering all this while, with a current half in the recent rally. |
fulanimafia:The deal to freeze output had been decided before Buhari's trip, http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-02-16/saudi-arabia-and-russia-agree-oil-output-freeze-in-qatar-talks, the forcados line had been shut in as well with a removal of 350KBOPD from the intl market at the time, and it was being claimed by your likes that Mr Presidents travels stabilize the oil priced so he deserved to travel more, why absolving him from this last trip. And if you still don't get the point I am trying to correct with this article, then you must be really "smart". |
Mods, lalasticlala, OAM4J, Mynd44, when an oil price rise coincided with Buhari's trip to the mid east we had it on front page, now he has visited the "wild west" and there is a drop in prices, can we also have this on front page. Thanks |
porka:Brother I "tire", it was a case of riding on the back of the tiger, oil prices will rise but the sychophants should understand that Nigeria is also a price taker in the global oil market. Even kachikwu that was running his mouth about $50 oil by April should know by now that we are already in April. People who matter at the moment in the oil market are Iran and Iraq and Libya, so if he wants to stabilize prices he should go negotiate a freeze with Iran. The Ayatollah and crew will be very happy to receive him. |
gragraboy:Talking to yourself? |
fulanimafia:To question 1 above would you agree with me that it was very silly to attribute the rise in price within that period to President Buhari's junket especially when there was no fundamental backing that rise. secondly if the president travels and an oil price increase is attributed to his trip, in the same way a price decrease should be attributed to him. ![]() |
Only a few weeks ago, President Buhari had visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a period which coincided with negotiations for a production freeze among some producer nations, instigated by Venezuela (Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Venezuela) of which Nigeria was not chiefly a part of, at initiation of these arrangements. The period also coincided with the shut down of the Forcados line in Nigeria, taking off the global market an estimated, 250KBOPD to 350KBOPD, these events plus some "dollar-matics" together saw the price of the Oil tilting upwards without any fundamentals backing it. Much to our chagrin here in Nigeria and especially on our own Nairaland, we saw some "supporters" begin to attribute this upward movement in price to Mr Presidents junketing, it will interest us to note that even the propounders of the freeze agreement-Venezuela never came out to claim victory, knowing fully well that they are mere price takers in the oil market, no industry newsletter or financial journal attributed this to the Nigerian President's visit to the middle east, but our own Nairaland saw some experts of " Buharinomics " put up threads, listing rise of Crude price to $40/bbl as an achievement of the President. Considering the skepticism surrounding the anticipated meeting of 15 producers this April, with Saudi Arabia and Bahrain banning tankers loading Iranian crude from entering their waters, with Russia pumping at an all time high, with the USA increasing imports for storage at Cushing Oklahoma, with China set to increase her oil imports for storage, with Iran already increased production of 250KBOPD and still aiming higher, please can these Mr President's supporters kindly tell us when Mr President will move the crude price to $45/bbl, $50/bbl, $60/bbl and then $90/bbl. Moreover I noticed the President just returned from the USA and the price of Oil dipped below $38, why is Buhari working against us, he has gone to support the American shale producers in dropping the price of "OYEL" abi. cc: Lalasticlala OAM4J Mynd44 coolscott, Firefire, onatisi, PhockPhockman, SeverusSnape, OZAOEKPE, Francizy, baralatie, mizmycoli, tonyebarcanista, firefire, TippyTop Teryfik Sdindan Roob ChappyChase Ishiamu gunuvi Truckpusher rozayx5 bomsilaga, erunz dunsman Nigerianvenom PRYCE Phockphockman, nwadiuko1, ibokUtoroh, Koded, iPrinz20 Aprokoman, OcheJoseph, Dearpreye, Firefire, Tomakint , Temitemi1, Hinwazaka, Dumkem21 Biafranqueen, Mogidi, IsraeliAirforce, Candyrain, Ambivert, Rose2014, Opiaoku, Anonimi, Engineerboat, Talktimi, ahaika23, coolestrogue APCSucks Emperortj93 DebateNigeria Chukwudi44 APCHaram |
manutdadex:Everything he touches diminishes I meantersay bro. But the guy is too dull sha. |
manutdadex:Brother saying we have had 3 spells of scarcity in 9 months seems like an average of 1 scarcity every 3 month's. It will be better if represented in terms of duration. Having say, 180 days of scarcity in 270 days is a more graphic and appropriate description. This man carries the spirit of scarcity and suffering about him, everything he touches diminishes . Chai Nigeria. |
Sai Baba!!!! Sai Zombie!!! Continue chanting until we get back to days of yore when beasts of burden becomes the means pf transportation and Nigeria becomes like ancient Egypt. An ancient of days at the presidency would only feel comfortable ruling an ancient state, hence all the policies are in full gear to take us back to "days of our fore fathers". |
BobNeli:Was an excellent futuristic piece from you, prophet BobNeli. |
And so gentlemen we hit the ground flying. As "indeed he is going a good job" |
Excerpts from the Holy Bible The king did this: The king answered the people harshly. Rejecting the advice given him by the elders, 14 he followed the advice of the young men and said, “My father made your yoke heavy; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions.” 15 So the king did not listen to the people, for this turn of events was from the Lord, to fulfill the word the Lord had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through Ahijah the Shilonite. And the people reacted like this: 16 When all Israel saw that the king refused to listen to them, they answered the king:What share do we have in Buhari, what part in Muhammadu's son. This man is seriously thrashing Nigerians with scorpions plus fangs of an adder, together. Electricity utility bill, 45% hike Fuel over 100% hike Dollar over 60% hike Rice over 100% hike Stamp duty, from 0 to 50Naira. Fulani herdsmen on rampage. Over 800 billion unremitted by NNPC in 6 months. Shady recruitment into top tier public institutions. Reversal of campaign promises Conversion of one meal a day to one nutritious nasco biscuit a day. Continuous junketing at the expense of taxpayers. Living "viva la vida" while the rest of the citizenry go through "tough luck" List is endless meehn. |
My quote only a few days ago on another thread: NavierStokes: |
Purplebirdrep:Hehehe how can they sell a piece of land they do not even know the location. The man is still trying to trace the place nw. |
When we were trying to let that matter slide, these people come up with another "lai". Femi You guys are done with campaigns, you already sold that "disaster and charlatan" of a president to those who were gullible why still trying to shove it down our throats? Femi honestly are you for or against Buhari? |
Technically Saraki was in charge, for the period.well these guys think that by travelling and ignoring the problems on ground, things will just sort themselves out. Sorry to burst your bubbles, this is "reality-governance 101". "Make una travel go and come back una work dey wait", no excuses, the other article said "Nigeria's Buhari talked tough on Nigeria's problems, now he must deliver" |
plaetton:Imagine just sitting quietly in a car for 4 hours, when it is very evident that the driver doesn't know where he is going, justz because it is a 4 hr's journey. Some people can chose to be quiet and wait but "wailers " having seen this from the onset owe it as a duty to our children, to talk when the government errs. *Our parents watched these leaders run the young Nigeria aground since the 60's, we can't afford to tread the same path* |
And how come the mods haven't put this on the FrontPage, or has the censorship of Femi Aribisala's articles by the FG been extended to Nairaland as well. This is a brilliant piece for the records, and I am on front page raCing about Linda Ikeji's smelly p***y. Mods please do the needful. Cc: lalasticlala, OAM4J, mynd44 |
