That translates approximately to 876 million barrels/year.
At $50 /barrel, gives us 43,800 million dollars /year. (50x876m)
Oil production companies take 43% of the oil revenue - 43% x43,800 m=
$18,834 million taken by oil companies.
Nigeria govt gets: 43,800m-18,834m = $24,966 million
i.e $24.966 billion/year

Now that's what runs the government; salaries etc

On a very serious note, if we put a significant dent into the williy nilly theft by NNPC and various government officials, we'll be just fine even with oil selling at $35/barrel.

The hypocrites who are asking for Buhari should first explain why GEJ was absent at a similar debate in 2011 and chose to debate himself in a subsequent outing.
