YSPON: Thanks. but I called the course coordinator and he told me it's not compulsory for the first stage. You mean your school specifically told you not to Certify or Notarize your documents? That's kinda unusual. I don't know what you term by first stage anyways but if you are sending your documents to the school please Certify or Notarize them to avoid stories that touch. |

dailydolar: that's not the right way just open your fintiba or x-patrio account and use that to request for your visa interview if you like fund if you like no fund before interview but you must fund before them give you visa if you also want to use SL you can open any of the account I listed above and use of to get visa appointment first while you are waiting for your SL. Shalom And this is your right way? It was people like you that deter other students from getting an interview date last year. i know a lot of students that booked for visa interview last year but could not fund their block account and also were unable to get SL thereby leaving others who have the funds with no interview date. You are here claiming MrWrong. And before we know it you will start telling people that the right way is to book for VISA even when they are waiting for Admission letter from schools. |

BabaEuro: Gents and Ladies, got to embassy at 5:30am this morning and I met 3 guys on the queue. Paulinos arrived and instructed the police man to allow the students in first at 5:50am . So we were 3 at that time and I became no.2 . 1st ,2nd and 3rd students visa appointment please come in,arrange your documents in accordance with my instruction. "I told you to put the photocopies and the originals in one sit here,Paulinos yelled at me. You people have ears, try and hear with it!" He later commended me and the 3rd guy for properly arranging our documents and making available all photocopies, meanwhile the 1st guy wasn't allowed to move in due to missing photocopies. So,I became the first person to move in.
" Please give me the originals , your admission letter, your passport copies and 27,500 naira only. He entered some data into her system,ok, give me all the photocopies".
Please pick up the microphone. Now the interview:
1. Have you funded? 2. Are you going for Bsc or Msc? 3. Which course are you going for? 4. Why that course? 5. What did you study in your Bachelors? 6. When did you graduate? 7. What was you CGPA? 8. How did you apply? 9. How much did you pay as uni-assist fee? 10. Does your institution charge tuition fee? 11. Are you going to pay tuition fee? How much is your semester fee? 12. Why do you want to study in Germany? 13. Don't you have this course in Nigeria? 14. Did you check other country apart from Germany? 15. Why not USA ? 16. What do you know about Germany? 17. Which school did you graduate from? 18. What was your undergraduate thesis topic? 19. What's the thesis all about? 20. Who was your supervisor? 21. Do you have any relative in Germany or Europe? The young lady that interviewed me typed every thing into her system. She was cool anyway!
I found out that after arranging my documents ,prior to my entry into the interview domain,Paulinos have a list of all persons that booked appointment for that day and he thicked my name against it. O boy I was shocked to my bone marrow! Congrats!....You've done well. AM fall on you in this New Year IJN |

Yobaby: Good morning efamily, please I am in my school now trying to get my English proficiency letter and they insist I put an address. Can I use uni-assist address since I would be applying to other schools Well you can send it directly to uni-assist directly. BUT my advice is Try and send it to an Office address where you work or where someone you know work. And address it to the person's office. So you can have a copy with you and then send to as many schools as you like. |

bulalakoboko: Please I need some clarifications.
The name on my BSc certificate bears Oyibo joseph. The name on my Waec certificate bears Oyibo joseph. BUT The name on my transcript bears Oyibo joseph oleyu. Now, I am ready to process my international passport,is it logical to use Oyibo joseph or Oyibo joseph oleyu?
Please my Ogas,I am in need of your candid advice because I will be in passport office latest Monday next week. Please use Oyibo Joseph alone to avoid stories that touch. Since these 2 names are what are on your WAEC and BSc. Certificate. Additionally, you can also swear an affidavit that Oleyu is also part of your names to ease any issue arising from the Transcript. I have HND distinction Yes, you can transfer some credits ONLY if you can provide all the Course Catalogue/Course Handbook which contains all the Description of all the courses you did together with your Transcript. So when you get to Germany you can go and see your Academic Supervisor or the Lecturer in Charge of your Course. I hope this helps |

seeker63: Anhalt University of Applied Sciences Dessau (Bauhaus also known as DIA) They both offer master in Architecture taught in English but a little tuition is involved (less than €1000 though) and admission is mostly during winter semester. Check very well. There is another one called Building Technology or Green Building or something like that. Germans usually use dynamic names so you will have to search thoroughly. Am very sure they are available on daad.de |

MRSHYCAT: sir, does this mean a HND holder doesn't need a PGD before applying for Masters in Germany? You can not apply for Master's with your HND. And there is nothing like PG.D as far as Germany is Concerned. So your best shot is to apply for a BSc. |

It is called Semester Fee which is usually a contribution Tfare within your city, Student Union Governmt e.t.c. So that's not a School fee |

I also have bsc in economics. please what school will you advice me to apply to.. I and a friend wish to apply both economics I finished with a CGPA 3.4 while she finished with a CGPA of 3.6 Your being here is not a mistake. This is the right path but you have to go through https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/ and check for the courses that interest you both. You both are good to go with your GP's which is above 2.3 German grade So don't waste tym or delay. Start your Application right away. |

Abita: All my ogas, Jigba, honourableseyi, justwise, Eke40seven I greet una... Please I have a question to ask or just words of encouragement, this journey of going to Germany for my masters program started since 2015, then my school in nigeria submited my transcript late to uni-assist, I wrote to uni-assist that they should keep my documents till 2016 wintersession. In 2016 I paid for the evaluation, my result came out, i had a low cgpa, after the evaluation i got a German grade is 2.75, I didn't pass the minimum of 2.5 needed for TH Köln - Master - Automation and IT, so this made me to give up since I'm still working and making a living but mehn the future prospect in nigeria and raising a family is hard. Now I'm back trying to get other options for 2018, so asking my ogas, if a German grade point of 2.75 with impressive work experience and motivational letter I can stand a chance of getting admission to a university in Germany? Yes, you stand a chance but it's very SlimThe current school I want to apply to, I don't need to pass through uni-assist will this increase my chances? No, It doesn't matter. or is the anything like taking some prerequist courses in Germany or PGD? No, there is nothing like that. Abita: I've read oga Eke40seven post were he said that anything less than a Nigerian cgpa of 3.0 you may not get admission how true is this? Very true. Also can I just come to germany and do some certification courses? can i stay back and hustle for a job, can one just move to germany and get employment as an engineer? My Advice to you:1. Start from the begining again. Yes!.....I mean a Humble Beginning which means applying for another BSc. ( This is your Best Shot) As most of the people I know used this strategy and now, it's a success story. 2. Re-Apply again with your 2.75 to some other schools but you really have to garnish your CV and Motivational Letter/SOP with the massive experience you have amassed from your professional work. So apply for both BSc and MSc. I am very sure you will be happy to make it into Germany at the later end. #BraceUpBrother #GermanyIsWorthIt |
