Well, it seems your interview went well. Also had my interview but it wasn't a German VO. She also asked me same questions too but didn't give me any sheet of paper to fill. She said I should go straight to the point at first, so I knew I had to summarize my speech throughout. She also asked me about my sponsor and his/her occupation. She asked me about my Bsc Project and I should even discuss it in details o. Finally she asked me my project grade.

@Karch
Smart move.

that thru with my interview....
Waited till 6:30am before a fair guy came out for the arrangement of documents. ( if he is d Paulinus, then he ain't really harsh, just diligently doing his work with professionalism, can't say d same for other security guys there)
checked in and was d first for student visa, most before me were for short term visas
The light bleeped, and I was motioned in by the security guy to enter d room.
VO ( a Germany lady): your documents please
Me: handed the original documents and then the photocopy.

VO: gave me a question paper and blank sheets to fill the answers

Questions
What's your name?
What's your course and where?
Why Germany and not USA, UK or Canada??
Will u remain in Germany or come back to Nigeria?
Your course structure and modules??
Etc
After answering the question on the sheet and handing it over to her, I picked the phone and she virtually started asking me the questions all over again .
When she got to what will u do after studies
Me: I will come back to my country Nigeria.....
VO: to do what?
Me: (in my mind, see wahala ooo) to be a lecturer.
Vo: what do u know about Germany?
Me: started with its location, mentioned the boundary countries,.... Germany has 16 states including Berlin, hamburg,Bremen... and others
Vo: paused me, please mention the others
Have to relax and mention d entire states, political party, chancellor and president.
After a couple of more questions, the interview ended.
PS: I wasn,'t given any form to sign about visa not being attended to until I fund.

please someone should guide me. I have just got admission for admission and im trying to update my fintiba profile. deadline for enrolment for late entrants is october 30, what are my chances of meeting up and please guide me through the steps with deadlines too

If you are based in Nigeria, Sorry 2 be the one to break this to you this early morning.

No chances of meeting up since the Embassy is no more granting appointment dates. So just Enroll yourself & Defer your Admission.

But if you are in a foreign land, try to reach out to the German Embassy over there to book an appointment for Student VISA.

For Finitiba. Start first and when you're stucked, come back here to ask. Am sure we will be here to help u out.

lpls people in the house can a person with 43yrs apply for bsc Germany, with his HND, hope the age will not affect the issuing of visa, awaiting ur reply all my oga in this house pls

Normally I would not answer questions like this because of the unclear Intentions behind that decision.

But Because logically Education knows no Limits - Meaning we learn every day even at Old Age.

And if Baba Iyabo at 50 yrs had his BSc in Nigeria, and Mark Zuck. at 33 yrs had his Honourary Degree @Harvard after 12yrs of Dropping Out of school.

43 yrs - BSc. That's a little bit Odd tho. but He can do it.

Can a person with 43yrs apply for bsc Germany,

Yes, He can.

With his HND,

Am not Sure......But I saw some guys who actually debated in this forum that it's possible. So you might have to ask the school if they will

accept ur OND or HND.

Hope the age will not affect the issuing of visa

It might actually.......As the people there no well at all. So they will drill you well to make sure they really know your Intentions.

If your Intentions are genuine then No probs, you are safe.

Pls someone should help do justice to the question above.

@neccki @ekefortyseven @jigba @futurewise
Thanks.

Honestly, there are no Age Limit Restrictions as to studying in DE.

Except for Bafog (Student Loans/Financial Aid 4 Students) where only BSc. students must be under 30yrs bfor they can get loan &

Postgrad Student must be under 35 yrs.

Anyways the Embassy myt want to drill you as to know why you are going for a BSc or MSc at a certain Age. But that shouldn't be a problem if

you have a genuine Intention.

Jenny123 go for your interview. The embassy that gave you that date know what they are doing.
Do your best and leave the rest for God.
three weeks is long enough to get your visa.
Once you get the AM mail, get your insurance, buy your ticket, mail the embassy explaining to them that you need to travel on time because of your deadline.
They will call you to come for stamping.
I have seen people who got their visa on their passport right there at the embassy without waiting for the 7 days as suggested by the embassy and then traveled the next day.
If you know how to pray, pray well, fund and go for your interview, or better still you can wait till after your interview and fund within two days if you aren't sure of how your interview will turn out.

Thanks for those words of encouragement brov.

That's what I call God's Superlative Intervention.

So what do u think? Is it possible I will get a reply from them within two weeks becos my sch enrolment deadline is 20th Oct. I have waited for this admission and I can't risk letting it slip pass me.

Tnks bro for the reply..God bless you..!!

I think I will just go for “Msc Information system,TUM” or Msc Information Technology at University of stuggart... I'm so passionate about IT..Worked hard to acquire much skills.. Above all, since IT is king in germany, then the prospect of getting a good job is very bright....
One last question bro: Hope I'm on track as a Bsc holder of accounting degree going for Msc in information system/technology..

@Chevronstaff
Don't even waste your time and resources on that (Msc in information system/technology) except you apply for a BSc. Information System.

There are alot of students who even have BSc. in Infor. Sys. who could not gain admission not to talk of someone who has no study background

in Info. Sys/Tech.

Even in Nigeria do you think you will be allowed to just change like that without doing like a Diploma or PgD. Not to now talk of Germany where they don't take chances at all.

Well there is no harm in trying tho.

My Own Opinion: Apply for a BSc. in Info. Sys. (If you have Passshocked Hion(In Arsene Wenger's voice) for it)
Or
Apply for courses like MSc. Financial Engineering or MSc. Actuarial and Financial Mathematics which also have

high concentrated level of IT skills. Am sure of Financial. Eng you will program well like say tomorrow no dey in R, C/C++ as well as some

Database Querying in MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB. etc.

Mate, the ball is in your court.

My programme is also English taught but requires german knowledge but if you don't have FHWS teaches german for the first 2 semesters and you will attain level A2 before getting to the 2nd year.

I'm just patiently waiting for FHWS to reply my email.

Who is asking for the A2 German Cert., If it is the Embassy, go to the Schools Webpage, where the Application requirement for your course is

Copy the requirements (Where it was stated that A1 is sufficient for your 1 & 2nd Semester)

And send to the Embassy. That should also be enough if i-Campus did not reply you.

Hi Neccki, do you have A2 german certificate since you will be studying in Schweinfurt/wurzburg. I need FHWS to send me a mail stating that German proficiency is not required for enrolment. I have sent the i-campus an email since on Sunday and still expecting their reply for them to just send me an email saying german proficiency is not required for enrolment at the same time finding a way to fund my blocked account.

If there is anyone studying in FHWS wurzburg-Schweinfurt, please help answer this. cc honourableseyi

I sympathize with folks who have not been able to get booked for interview. The German government continues to implement policies that would reduce the number of students coming in.

Last year they increased the minimum monthly disposable from €670 to €720.

They have thus far refused to budge on the "no more dates" decision. Now followed by a 25% increase in visa fees.

Here in Germany, states including Baden Wertturmberg, Nord Rhein Westfalen and Thuringia have either implemented or are debating tuition fee era.

In addition, the number of Auslanderbehorder/foreign offices insisting on blocking of account for residence permit extension is increasing.

I do not really know what the situation is for others, especially people coming from non-african countries, but it appears that the German state is trying to reduce its financial commitment to University education (for internationals).

Nobody can say exactly what is on their mind. But for new applicants, please try and apply early...even to schools/courses you might not like...Use it for visa app and move to your choice school (with late admission) when you arrive here.

Good luck!

@UncleJudax

Thanks for this info.

IGBO's & DRUG's.
What is the problem self, I don't seem to understand y.

It has just been confirmed, that the Catholic Church massacre in Ozubulu, Anambra state was as a result of a bitter feud among drug dealing gangs residing abroad.
The assassins were said to have arrived in a black SUV and were looking for a drug lord called "Bishop" a.k.a BISHOP EBUBECHUKWUZO 1 of Ozubulu who is based in South Africa.
When they couldn't find him, they fired sporadically and killed innocent people in the process.
Details later.

juss a quick question... is it compulsory it is my school dat will send my transcript to the university I'm applying to? can't I send it myself since my school certified it. Tho I know I have to certify the photocopies I will be sending.
I have somebody that got his personal copy yesterday. it has my school stamp and the registrar's signature on it.

Well!

It is not compulsory your school sends it........So far you have the Official/Original Copy from your school. Then you have to make copies

and then Certify them bfor sending it to different schools you seeking admission into.

Your Original School Certs. is required(BSc. & Sec.Sch) So your transcript too is required. Abi didn't you send your transcript to the school that offered you

admission?

You don't need Health Insurance for now. Not until your VISA is ready, or you are told to do so by the Embassy. (Yea, not on the checklist)

No brother.. You seem to misunderstand what she's trying to help out with. For those who don't have such documentation at hand, an alternative is an affidavit of age declaration which is what I'm about to get but I just need to know the right seal that ought to be used cos there are two different seals at the high court "commissioner for for oath" and "Notary Public". I'm quoting the lady I met at the high court. This is what she told me.

Thanks for Interpreting it well to him.

Tell her to use the "Commissioner for Oath" That's the one you need from her.

Please house abeg help me out cos I'm currently at Obalende high court of Justice. Thanks.

Wrong Idea.......There is nothing like Notary Public Affidavit.

Is she a Notary Public? NO, I guess.
Let her just do the Normal Affidavit for you, then you will locate a Notary Public for the proper SEAL for Notarization.

Please don't think that Red Seal is Enough oo. Because that's not the required SEAL.

Except it has an Embodiment that Imprints words or letters on you docs. It is not a seal

U really talk with certainty. I think u know those areas pretty well. I myself had admissions for systems engineering for manufacturing magdeburg and renewable energy systems ingolstadt both MSc. I already made a decision to go for ingolstadt. Please I will like to get ur outlook On this. I appreciate

@MechEngr.
Honestly both courses are good when you look at them from different angles.
System Engineering is another name for Mechatronics Eng.
Systems Engineering is Exceptionally beautiful in the sense that it focuses on the Complex Design, Optimization & Integration of different

aspects of electronics, mechanics, ergonometrics, aerodynamics, & software Systems in order to achieve a coherent and effective system.

This guys are System of System Engineers
So this makes them gods in any Manufacturing Organization because they are relevant in all these aspects electronics, mechanics,

ergonometrics, aerodynamics, & software Systems
. Meaning they can handle, & design a project from start to finish.

Renewable Energy is Hot (Sweet 16) ryt naw because the whole world is talking about 100% Transitioning from Conventional Energy

Consumption to Renewable Energy Consumption.

Well, Google, Apple & Facebook are the No 1 Advocate of Clean Green Energy (Renewable)

I don't know why you decided to go for Renewable Energy. But it is definitely not a bad idea

My Own Opinion: Brov, I would have suggested you do the MSc Sys. Eng. & do your PhD in Renewable Energy.

Renewable Energy limits your professional career to renewable energies alone which are mainly Solar, Wind, BioMass While Sys.Eng. gives you the whole Eng. specialty(if not all) to handle & work on.

Mechatronics carries more Content & Practicals........But if you know you don't want the stress, just go for Eng& Manag.

And if it's job wise, there are jobs in Schweinfurt & Wurzburg.
