Business › Re: Sent Money To A Wrong Account. How Do I Get It Back ? by nedekid: 4:53pm On May 30, 2024
free234free:
I mistakenly sent 20k to a wrong uba account using my opay. I contacted opay and opay claimed to have contacted the bank and claims the money can't be gotten back. Please how do I go about getting this money back. Thanks
Try to go ask opay for the details of the account you transfered to. Or at least you must have that info on your phone. Approach uba to complain and even try your luck if they will give you the customers contact. This is unlikely though. Your best bet is if you have a paddy that works in the bank and is willing to help you get the customers details anonymously. This is also hard because he can lose his job if it backfires.
With that info you can call the person and plead with him to send back your money. But knowing Nigerians, the chances are slim.

40 YEAR OLD FOOLLL.
Suffering and smiling,
How do you know he is suffering? Some of those folks in the village live better quality of life and even make more money.
We were shocked many years ago when we visited wifys village somewhere in ondo, and saw her young cousin she thought was poor in the village, had 2 petrol stations, owned 2 houses, just married a second wife much older than him, guess what he was driving back then, a big hummer jeep with about 32 inch TV inside! When hummer jeep was the big boy moto! Watin de happen I asked?
As we drove through the town, it was so so Lebanese we saw with satellite phones aka turaya, haba! What is happening? It was later they told me it was oil bunkering business they were all into. That was the time of Niger delta agitation, before the amnesty program.

Depends on what he mastered in and at. If he did investment banking or law at a top UK university, there's no way a plumber would out-earn him. Also, most of you supporting Sunak, and even he Sunak, would never have their children go the apprenticeship route.
I get you point and agree with you fully. Of course not all investment bankers or lawyers will be mega reach. My aburo is a UK trained and based lawyer pulling in 70k with some council after over 15 years of practice, some technically skilled guy at that stage and with much experience will probably own his own setup and earn that much, if not more.
The point is that for we over here, the minimum is always university degrees, which is good, but in most cases not professional courses eg medicine, law, lab tech, engineering etc that are hands on skilled courses. Must everyone study literature, masscom, etc when they can have technical trainings in carpentry, welding, mechanics, craftsmanship eg boat building, electricians etc all properly certified and employable all over the world. Check online, more job offers in Canada, Germany, Japan etc all all looking for craftsmen, not university graduates with 10 degrees. Of course you still have demand for specialised ones too eg doctorsz nurses, computer folks and the rest.
Education › Re: You Don’t Have To Go To University To Succeed In Life - Rishi Sunak by nedekid: 2:58pm On May 30, 2024
Exactly, most of the folks making good money are not university graduates but people with technical skills.
My paddy that those days when we were in uni, he was doing his masters in unilag ie early 90s. Omo, I saw the guys profile, he is a registered plumber and fitter in the UK. His residence I saw is valued at over 1m pounds.
Same those days I de with my kid bro visiting, he had a gas leak, see the small boy with one small car with all the tools in his booth that came to install the new boiler. See as this kid fabricated all the copper pipes etc, my aburo just de look the boy, told me if I know how much that boy makes, him that had his masters cannot smell such money! That the boy must have attended technical school or did an apprenticeship and then got his certification.
We have to focus more on hands on skills in this country. How many of us even work with our certificates?

I have sat next to a passenger on a flight that smelt like filt. Infact almost like a corpse or maybe he had some juju on his person made out of rottening flesh, it was a 7 hr flight. I could not even eat. At some point I had to go stand by the galley, by the loo. Imagine me with sensitive nose. Some will shit on transit without bathing, at the airport, in the aircraft without washing their arse, na so smell go de aromatize the whole place.
Those days, flying from naija, they will ask chicken or steak, our long throat folks when no sabi go chose steak. Steak weh no cook well still get small blood inside, next thing toilet! Then all their yash go de smell. I remember being on a flight, long queues of people weh wan shit! As in like 50 people at once! That producer zen ejiro was on the queue, wating to toilet with his big belle.
Obviously there was a smell, but the attendants should have confirmed where it came from rather that harras these poor guys.

No one is saying anything palatable about this unfortunate government. Buhari left a sour taste but Tinubu has set the teeth of the suffering citizens of this beleaguered nation on edge. Just imagine the frightening statistics staring this nation today. To bad! So sad!
Look at the statistics, as I wrote last week, a new corolla is 67m, camry 105m, hilux, 100m, even that tiny suzuki they use for taxi in Lagos is over 20m. Korope I hear is roughly 3.5 -4m!
Tokumbo Sienna or muscle is 9-11m!
So, money you will use to build house, you will use to buy corolla?

It is not unhygienic. There are different ways of making ice, this is one of them.
Most industrial ice makers use this process. Way back in the day under opebi link road, there was an ice making company there where the made large slabs of ice. You could also buy for personal use.

That post is not true. How can air peace with 29 aircraft lift more than eg Ethiopian airlines with over 140 aircrafts and over 100 routes?

The exact part where you implied only white people are allowed to live there, and your asinine justification of it being "unaffordable" to Nigerians.

So Nigerians are fit for being their domestic and low-income workers, but they can never "aspire" to be a home-owner there? And you see the sense in that?
I from my observation, it seems to be a former resort, bought or leased by those expertates. It could be their company owns the facility. I do not think it is the regular place like eg Amen estate. It is rather seems a big compound for their exclusive use.
Eg chevron having only American workers and they live alone in a gated community. It is not like where you can go buy houses.

White only estate?

Here in this Lagos?? Hehe. Mewa n sele.

What is even the justification you're writing down there? undecided
What part do you have issues understanding? I clearly said an estate occupied by whites, oyinbo, caucasians. Their food is ordered and delivered to them, they have storages in 40 foot refrigerated containers, their communal chefs, cooks are all white. The only place you see naija folks is at the entrance gate house, the chief security officers and their security team. The rest of the place na oyinbo. Maybe they have domestic Nigerian workers, but I never saw them.

See, some products are flown into the country daily and supplied to high end exclusive supermarkets, restaurants, personal orders. Do you know, cheese, ice cream, salad, salmon, ham, bacon, already prepared meals from high end restaurants in eg France, pizza made to order from Italy delivered to people here in naija?
This bread could have baked in France in the morning then flown to naija and on the shelf that evening.
I know all this because I have been approached few years ago by some Lebanese to arrange logistics for such cargo. I have even delivered some to some exclusive white only estate somewhere at eleko.
Na such supermarkets, when they make it private, Nigerians will come out to shout foreigners are stopping them from entering. When you enter and see what you cannot afford nko? Na to de take picture come de post online.
