Esseite: So from that picture, you can support that a truck of that magnitude should pass that bridge? well.....the bridge was clearly wearing out sha. The truck driver should have considered i am sure he just wanted to risk it. I agree with you,but for the lack of maintenance but a notice restricting big trucks from passing, the authorities have to bear part of the brunt. |

vedaxcool: This thread just confirmed many people are just not smart. Mungo Park cannot discover what already exists to the people using it. He can only discover it for the Western world, teaching pupils that he discovered the River Niger just does not make sense. Rather it should read he was the first white man to sail the River Niger but cannot be the first person to discover it. no one knew the route of the river Niger before Mungo Park, that was what he discovered and not the river itself, river Niger is neither hidden in the evil forest nor a 1000metres below the ground, it is plain viewed. |

Why in the world would even an illiterate driver drive a truck through such a local bridge with metal floorings.. now a truck loaded with cement.. The company pays it's tax to the government, they neither vandalised the bridge nor passed there illegally so why should they be made to fix it? |

Man lagos doesn't end on V.I, ikoyi and lekki. Infact if you go to ordinary new market at oniru on a weekend, it won't be this calm. Go to lagos island and see the gra gra even on a weekend not to talk of places like yaba, oyingbo, sabo, okoko, mile2, mile 12 just to mention a few. If you want help your APC government to deceive people, always remember that there are so many other people who were born and raised in lagos and been to almost all nooks and corners of Lagos.
Autojosh seems to be more sincere. Carry your autoreport and go lie to some bush people who haven't been to lagos before.

baslone: Creativity had to come to play on the Ikorodu road's case because it was done on an already existing road
In Oshodi, the road has been expanded, a lot of buildings had to be brought down to make this happen.
Only issue is the government has not made any serious attempt to compensate property owners yet. if you look at the lagos/badagry exp way project one is tempted to think that this is the modus operandi, there is ample space(space for vegetation inbetween) yet there is just space for just 2 lanes. It should once again be wider. The govt is trying but maybe they should try and review their design. P.S. i am a civil engineer. |

The op posted a prototype,we all can't go and face the traffic at oshodi just to view your so called extensions(which are non-existent). How is the crocodile's teeth get so white?whiter than mine infact. GeeString: 5) Nile Crocodile
Crocodiles kill hundreds of people each year in Africa. The Nile Crocodile can be found in almost every major river throughout the continent as well as many lakes. Most fatalities occur while people are washing or collecting food near river banks and lake shores. Fishermen are also prone to attack as they slide their boats in and out of the water. Crocodiles attack by dragging their prey under water and drowning them. Some crocodiles will also then roll their bodies repeatedly to weaken their prey. |

tourplanet84: we complain too much in Nigeria. The new revised land use charge would have enabled Lagos state to generate N70 billion per month and thus have capacity to execute more project. what project is greater than human capital development? Lagos has well over 80% living on the edge. They don't have access to credit, accommodation crisis, they pay for their security, water and electricity. In all sincerity, the roads and flowers are good but i will rather keep my money than pay taxes that will not return to benefit even the downtrodden. |
