I got the same mail too from GEM to submit my business plan,with link to our dash board, i applied for performance grant in October 2016 and was inducted on march 28th 2017 ($10,000-$40,000). we have 28th march 2018 as deadline for the submission. ThankGod another grant is on the way ooo to boast and stabilize my entrepreneurial dreams. Lord i Thank You

Oh really, I was inducted August 2016 into big gem platform, waited till 2018 to get 1st tranche disbursement. And am still waiting going to 2yrs to get just the 1st tranche. And you are saying am complaining. How many did years did it take you to get your tranche.

I was inducted in May 2017. Just got an invitation on 14th March 2018 to submit a business plan for the grant. May God see us through.

I can't say for sure. But you should plan to accommodate yourself. Feeding may be borne by them. Duration could be between 3 - 5 days.

There were no online training. This is a new initiative. The online training replaced the business plan competition training we went for. Only that the selection of winners wasn't based on assessments after the training but based on the business plans submitted online after the training.

Winners went to master classes and boot camps after they were selected.

Youwin2 had 5000 females master class shortlisted, only 1200 got funded..
Youwin 3 had 5000 master class shortlisted, only 2500 got funded..source (youwin wikipedia)

Technically, not all 5000'will get the youwin connect! fund series

I was actually trying to share the whatapp link of the master class youwinners....but it's not allowed here........

Youwin 2 had 6000 ladies shortlisted for Business Plan Competition Training shortlisted and 1200 got funded.
Youwin 3 had 6000 people shortlisted for Business Plan Competition Training shortlisted and 1500 got funded. 2250 people were shortlisted for the final (third) stage which was the panel interview. I was part of it but I was among the 750 unlucky ones.

Now at no stage were people called winners until the last stage where the 1500 successful applicants were shortlisted. So for us to be shortlisted as national merit, regional merit and state merit winners, I think we've all won. Your funding will depend on your business plan.

The pictures below were the business plan competition training in Gombe and panel interview in Abuja.

From what I read here, it's like the whole 4990 of us have won be that o! I don't think anyone will be dropped again. We will all be required to submit business plans after the in-class training 'for areas where their businesses require improvement.'
