It's terrible that most people make judgement from one side of the story. The writer maybe telling half truths. Most private hospitals prefer to perform CS which takes shorter time than normal delivery, and also bring a lot of money for the hospital.
Often, patients & relatives decline consent for CS but when things go wrong, the same patients raise false alarm to attract public sympathy.
What prevented the man from taking his wife to another hospital for the CS?
My patient with twin boys, with twin 1 breech, adequately counseled for CS vehemently declined. She went to deliver in traditional home, had prolonged labour, choriamnionitis & death of both twins in the womb. She was rushed to the hospital and still had d CS with delivery of 2 dead babies.

My dear colleague its d same story every where. Most patients & their relatives refuse to pay after u've suffered to treat them without full payment. I did emergency C.S. on a friends wife since february last year and saved the life of both the woman & her baby boy for only N 120,000, which covers drugs, theatre fee, surgeon fee, bed fee, medical & nursing care, blood transfused. Despite the guy being very rich with flashy cars & child dedication ceremony of over 1.5 million, he has refused on his wicked wife's advice not to offset his balance of 40K. If a Dr declines to treat on credit, wailers & end time nairalanders will come to rant against us.

Its quite unfortunate that NUC will contemplate such barbaric duration of 11 yrs in d 1st place. Many that get admission to study medicine spend 3-4 yrs writing JAMB & post UTME. Also, failing any of the numerous tough professional exams leads to receipt or outright repeat of the year which makes many medical students spend 9-12 yrs in school. What of the incessant industrial actions by ASUU, SSANU, students etc which compulsorily extends the duration of medical school. Medicine as a course has a curriculum that span from January to December, unlike most other causes, and no room for crashing of lectures. I personally spent 8 yrs studying medicinin a 1st generation federal university without repeating any class, during which period my friends that did 4 yrs course had done NYSC, finished masters, working in banks, and some married. Any plan to extend the course duration further means some students will spend 15-20yrs in school. If the federal government will be paying them salary while in school, no much problem.

This is absolutely ridiculous. No man on earth, i mean no man even the JAMB examiners can score 100% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 99% in English. What was the boys raw scores in WAEC? If he didn't score 9 A1, then d result is fake. Also, he can only convince us if he score 100% in post UTME. Meanwhile, many of the JAMBites that score over 280 fail out of the medical school before 3rd year. Also, researches prove JAMB to be a fake exam, as it is rare for the best 3 results yearly in JAMB to prove it with 1st class in d University. Remember, d UNILAG recent best graduan with 5.0 points was mesmerized by JAMB, and had to get admission via pre-degree.

My dear, repent today and submit ur life to Jesus christ. God loves us all and its not his wish that any should perish. Heaven is REAL, hell is real. If u suffered pain when part of ur body is accidentally hurt by fire, then imagine the eternal calamity that will befall those that reject the truth forever. If u have dreams & in it u remember ur past events & interact with people, then certainly, then ask ur self where that ur soul will stay forever after death- heaven or hell. Dont be victim of the numerous warnings by God.
I pray that God touch & transform u. If u have idea of millions of souls lavishing in anguish in hell, u will become a fire brand christian fom today. Rush to any living church & make peace with God. Its a horrible experience to see ur innocent child in sickle cell crisis, that of ur child likely to be sequestration crisis. U have the options of investigating ur husband and the lab for criminal conspiracy. U can actually have normal healthy children (25% chance) and healthy carriers (50% chance). For the cure, Sickle cell is curable by bone marrow transplant, but its quite expensive (about 5 million Naira). Also make sure the child drink water all the time and take penicillin and malaria drugs, at least once a week to reduce the rate of the crisis. Any course u study requires focus, determination & hardwork. But some of the courses listed above like medicine requires extra input, because many are admitted, very few eventually graduate. Any paramedical (pharmacy, dentistry, lab. science, etc) attacking medicine is purely born out of cheer envy & jealousy. Dental students only do elementary medicine & introduction to surgery, but have no knowledge of obstetrics, Gynaecology, paediatrics & child health, psychiatry, community medicine, family medicine, etc. Absolutely, majority of haters of Doctors are medical drop out & those frustrated by JAMB from studying medicine. Such always fight hard for their offsprings to be Doctors.

May be her mother was taking d delivery and being a quack, she was not trained to recognize danger signs which prompted her to call an innocent Dr. when the woman was convulsing (ecclampsia) or bleeding from cervical tear or ruptured uterus from prolonged obstructed labour, which also could account for fetal hypoxia, fetal distress and fetal death. Being at odd hour 3am with the teaching hospitals on strike over non payment of Drs salaries and arreas, would it have been better the Dr refused to attend to the distress call? How can he get all emergency drugs, drips, blood or theatre to do the needful if the woman was already unconscious? Women should be wise enough to stop these home deliveries, traditional birth attendants and church deliveries by quacks. Govt hospitals have trained Drs (gynaecologist), of which i'm one, who can detect early and promptly manage complications. Any Dr. can flee to avoid attacks by angry family. But when he explain his side of the story, u will even reward his effort. For the family to shy away from the case means they are aware that the Dr made frantic effort to salvage the catastrophic situation. I've had courses to scold ignorant husbands and family members whenever they bring women that has laboured for days at home with a dead fetus in the womb and the woman already dead or very close to dead (unconscious, bleeding profusely in heart failure or convulsing).
