.
On the way home, Divine took no notice of the two young men in the keke she was in. Her mind was preoccupied with thoughts. Her discussion with Ken and her disappointment. When she got to her destination and wanted to pay the driver, one of them in the keke told her not to pay that he would pay for her. She thanked him and the keke zoomed off as she walked to their house.
They lived at No 52 Ado street off Zero International Market, the largest market at the outskirts of PH city. As far as she could remember, they had lived there since she was a child. She could describe the street even with her two eyes closed, all its nook and cranny wouldn't be a difficult thing to describe.
At home, she helped her mum in the kitchen. Her mum noticed the sad look on her face and asked if she was well at all. Divine told her she was fine. Her mum knew better and decided to let it rest for now. She'll definitely know what's wrong after she feeds her husband first. She still has to call Mary and inform her about the need to find a good man for her last daughter. To her, the joy of motherhood would be to be alive and see all her daughters get married.
Divine barely touched the rice and stew her mother dished for her. She took it back to the kitchen and covered it. She'll have to eat it later when her appetite returns because it seems it was on a strike. She went up to her room, picked up her phone and dialed Ken's number. At the third ring, Ken answered.
"I'm sorry Ken. The way i walked out on you was uncalled for. I had something else in mind when you called me for that discussion. Hence my reactions. Would you forgive me please? I realized i had wronged you when you did nothing wrong to me but wanted the best for me." Divine pleaded.
"You don't need to apologise dear. What else did you had in mind?" Ken asked.
"Nothing you should know of. How do we see tomorrow for the checkup?"
"I'll come over to your office at noon so we'll go together. I already informed the Doctor about the meeting."
"Ok then. Thank's for thinking about this. God bless. See you."
"God bless you too. Take care. See you tomorrow."
Divine ended the call. Her health should be her priority now. Thank God for Ken. She'd noticed this for the past two months and didn't know what to do about it. She went over to her wardrope to prepare her clothe for work.

.
"What you have is called Xerostomia in medical science. It is known as dry mouth and is characterized by a decrease in saliva. It could be caused by dehydration, intensive exercise, hormonal changes. I discovered after the checkup that it's still in its early stage and failure to treat it now will expose your mouth to risk of serious dental issues. Saliva contains antibodies that help to stop decay before it starts. When you're low on saliva, it's easy for harmful bacteria to proliferate, leaving your mouth at risk." Doc. Ray said.
Divine and Ken were seated at his office. At their arrival, he had taken Divine aside and did some test on her teeth.
"But Doc., it just started recently. My mouth had not been smelly before now. What could have triggered this defect?" Divine asked with a concerned look on her face.
"As i said earlier, saliva cleanses the mouth and removes particles that may cause odor. Maybe due to various medications, salivary gland problems or continously breathing through the mouth, your flow of saliva might have decreased thereby causing your mouth to be dry." Doc. Ray explained. He went further to say.
"I'll like you to do the following," he picked a plain sheet of paper off his table and took a red pen among the three in his white coat breast pocket and wrote on the paper.
1. Drink more water
2. Brush your teeth twice a day for a week
3. Avoid salty foods
He handed the paper to Divine.
"Keep to these and return for another checkup after a week. I prescibed some drugs. The secretary will give it to you on your way out. You'll pay at the cashiers desk outside. Take the drugs and eat regular meals. I'll see you in a week time."
"Thank you Doc." Divine said.
"Thank you Doc. Ray." Ken said.
As they were about to leave Doc. Ray remembered something and called them back.
"Divine, your face looks familiar. Were you the lady i and my brother met in a keke yesterday afternoon?." Doc. Ray asked her.
"It could be sir. Were you the one that paid for my fare?."
"Yes, though it was my brother's idea. He just returned from law school and we went to hangout. You turned out to be our topic of discussion. I told him he was in love but he brushed it off. I'll love to see his joy when i'll tell him whom i met today."
Divine smiled. Doc. Ray took her contact number and she left with Ken.
***********************************************
Five months later, Divine packed out of their family house into her own house with her husband.
Yeah, finally she found a man.
Your guess is as good as mine, she married the youngest lawyer in town and the only brother of Doc. Ray whom she met on a Sunday.

*********PART TWO**********
.
Church service was lit, it was the Super Sunday Service. During the Bible Study Divine sat in a chair alone, the third one in the centre row. As the class went on, Ken the music director walked in and sat in the same chair with her. He flashed her a quick smile and she mouthed a good morning to him. Something within her reminded her of yesterday's prophesy. Why would Ken come to sit with her. She had to look around the church, she knew it was abnormal for Ken to leave Edward his friend to come where she sat. Her heart skipped a beat. Could he be the one? What of Dennis then? Why is her heart beating the same way it did earlier this morning when Dennis called her his love? Ken was tall, eloquent and strikingly rich. In addition, he's committed to church and God. He looks like the right one on every side. Her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of her life with Ken that she missed the whole Bible class. After the class, the choir members had to go out and put on their robe . Ken smiled to her again as they walked out together. She was the assistant choir director and this would be the perfect match. Her mum would be so proud of her because Ken's parents were rich as well. She blushed and was all pink in the face, maybe he would say something to her before or after the service, she said within herself.
During the choir ministration, she sang on top of her voice like never before. Finally, she'll be free from her mother's disturbing talks.
During the testimony time, Ken went out to testify. He first thanked God for journey mercies and gift of life. He went further to say that he asked God for a favour two years ago and God gave him an answer yesterday. After his testimony, the church members clapped appreciatively. Divine's heart kept playing tricks on her. She felt within her that the answer Ken talked about was the prophesy she received yesterday. She even took some money from her Bible and ran out to put in the offering box. She'd been close pals with Ken and she believed God prepared him specially for her. Now she knew better.
After the service, she waited for Ken to confess his love for her and maybe propose to her. How she had wanted to be proposed to at a church. Now it's going to happen and who said God don't grant His people's heart desire? She felt on top of the world. She already had practised all she would say in response to the big question. She checked for Ken inside the church building and he was nowhere to be found. She went outside and found him with Pastor Jeff. Maybe, he was informing the pastor about his intention towards her, she thought.
She went back inside the church to linger and wait for him. She remembered her phone she plucked in to charge at the Pastor's office, she went to get it. She came out from the office to meet Ken inside the church. She knew it was time.
"Divine, you're still around? I saw your parents and they left without you."
"I'm still here Ken." She said
"That reminds me, i wanted to discuss something with you. I had plans to call you after service so we meet up and discuss this very important thing. Can we chat a little before you leave? Or do you have somewhere you need to go now?" Ken asked.
"I have all the time in the world to chat." Replied Divine with smiles.
"Let's sit then."
They found a quiet corner in the church and sat down.
"I'm nervous to say what i want to say and kind of shy."
"Say it, i'll understand."
"You don't understand. You don't even know how it has been in my heart and a great burden to me."
"Say it anyhow. Just let it out, you will feel ok then." Divine replied impatiently.
"I've known you since you were a child. Though we've not been close except during rehearsals. I know your parents are kind and good people. You should know i have your good interest at heart. Don't be offended if you're not comfortable with what i'm about to say. But i must say it so that i can have peace." Ken replied timidly.
"The say it already Ken."
"Before i say it, you know i love you right? You know i care about you? So please understand why i'm doing this."
"Oh, you love me? That's sweet. I've not heard it from you before now. I love you too." Divine said sweetly.
"Thank God you do. Here is what i have to say: I've got a lot of complaints from other choir members especially your fellow alto singers about an offensive odour that comes out from your mouth each time you talk to them. Please don't take it the wrong way. I noticed it too, even now i do perceive it. They were scared to talk to you because they don't know how you will react to it. I had to do it because i really care for you. Can you do me a favour please? Meet me tomorrow, i'll like us to go for a medical check up. Please understand and don't take this the wrong way,". Ken said and tried to hold Divine's hand. His hands were like a sting of bee upon her flesh.
Divine felt like the ground would open and swallow her up. She was teary all of a sudden. All those fantasy. The proposal. All crushed in a minute. She should have left after service. She cursed prophet shehu in her heart.
She stood up and left the church, ignoring the call and pleads of Ken. Within her heart, if she were to meet that prophet, she would beat the hell out of him and collect her 700 naira back.
So much for believing that she'll meet her husband today.

.
Divine was on her way home from an errand when a man stopped her on the way. Her mum had sent her out of the house on purpose to discuss with her elder sister Mary. Her sister got married last year to an Edo man, their father was against the marriage from the onset. She always visit when their dad is out of home, like today. He went on a business trip and would return tonight.
Mrs. Dera their mother had always talked about finding a man for Divine since she started to work four months ago at Okorie's breweries. She knew her mum had asked her sister if any of her husband's friend is looking for a wife so she should come and take her to the person. She don't seem to understand why her mum would be bothered about her leaving the house. She's only 24. Or is it because she graduated early and working. Must that be a prerequisite for marriage. Her mum should just chill because she has a lot of things to do before marriage.
It was saturday and as always she has choir rehearsals this evening. As she hurried home the man stopped her. He had in his right hand a Bible and some tracts in the left hand. From the look of his attire, she guessed he must be a pastor.
"Good day sister. My name is Prophet Shehu. How are you doing?"
Divine sighed. Can't this man see that i'm in a hurry? Do my face look good to him in this hot sun? Divine said to herself but said something else.
"Good afternoon sir. How may i help you?" She said.
"Dearly beloved, i saw you from afar and the good Lord gave me a message for you. I had to stop you."
Divine's protective instinct came to life. She'd heard of men of God who had kidnapped people in the past through this means. Or even extort money from them.
"The good Lord? A message? Please i don't have enough time to spare. I should be on my way now." She said and was about to leave.
"It has something to do with the man of your dream. You need to hear me out sister." The prophet insisted.
Immediately Divine heard about the man of her dreams, she totally lost all moral. Maybe because of the pressure she faced at home from her mother.
"What about the man of my dreams?"
"The Lord said, you would meet your husband tomorrow. It would be a glorious moment."
Divine was all smiles when she heard it.
"You mean, tomorrow been Sunday sir?. She wanted to be sure of that. Let it not be that tomorrow signifies anytime in the future.
"Yes, tomorrow. Make sure you stay alert and wait for that moment." Prophet Shehu said.
"Yes sir, i will be."
Divine had some money in her hand. It was the balance of 700 the meat seller gave her. She gave it all to the prophet without waiting for him to ask for it.
"Thank you very much sister. May God water your life and make the union blissful in Jesus name. Amen."
"Amen. Bye sir." She said happily.
Divine ran all the way home. It was 3:30pm when she got home. Her elder sister had already left. She dropped the meat in the kitchen, went into her room, picked her scarf and left for the rehearsals.
**********************************************
For Divine, Sunday started exactly 12:00 midnight. It was the day she would meet her husband afterall. She was awake and on facebook with her Techno Y7 phone. At exactly 12:35m she received a message from Dennis, her facebook friend of three years. The message read thus :
"grin..... love, why are you awake? Are you troubled like me? I've been burdened since yesterday and sleep had gone off my eyes tonight. How was your day beautiful soul?"
On a normal day, the message would be normal to her. But on today, on her proposed"husband finding day" she read a lot of meaning into the message. Why would he be troubled at heart at the same time she's troubled? Why would he still be online the same time she came online. It must be divinity. He must be the one. She hurriedly replied him to find out if her guess was right.
"My day went well. Why are you troubled?"
"I'm just sad and i don't know why? Can you keep me company tonight? I would love to hear your voice to know if i'll feel better. Can i call you now?".
"Alright dear, call me then. Are you sure you don't know why you're troubled?. She asked.
"I believe i'll be fine when i hear your beautiful voice."
Few minutes later, Divine's phone that was on the bed with her vibrated. She picked it up and cleared her throat before she answered the call. She was silent, waiting to hear from Dennis first.
"My love. How are you?". Dennis said.
Divine's heart started to beat fast when she heard Dennis call her his love.
"I'm fine dear. How are you feeling now?"
"Much more better than before. You know your voice is like a sing song and it brings melody to my heart. Maybe my heart missed it, that's why it was sad. I'm happy now. Hope you'll be going for service today?"
"Yes i will."
"Alright, let me allow you to rest, i will do same too."
"Goodnight then." Divine said
"Goodnight my love." Dennis said.
Divine ended the call with a convinction in her heart that he's the one, he's the right man for her. The man of her dreams. Afterall, the prophet said she would know within her heart when it happens. And the way her heart is beating so fast is enough confirmation.

Great one........ OP, Let him visit universities dept of Architecture, Fine arts and Civil Engineering like an excursion. Find him a mentor in that line, Encourage him to watch Academic and Educational programmes on TV's....E.g VISTAS ( A career guiding programme on NTA), Voyage of Discoveries ( Also on NTA, Showcasing young innovators with good inventions). He belongs to the Arts and science world.

Insha Allah, he would go places. I encouraged my sister when she started writing short poems at 10, even though my father believed she was just being lazy and wanted her to be in sciences like me. But i stood my ground, today she is studying English Education and i see a great future in her.God bless u

Tnx for your tips...and prayers...
