This is just the beginning. I know that nothing has changed rather things changed hands. This government is an arrangement between the North and South west. I bet you it is not going to last long. |
This writer must be out of her mind. Is politics about being in the ruling party? How many of the strong people in the present ruling party were in PDP till APC won election? Opposition is still part of the game. Understand it that some notable personalities will remain unnoticed as long as they are in the ruling party but will be more popular and influential if in opposition. An example is the case of Tinubu before now. If Tinubu had defected to the ruling PDP then, he would not have achieved what he has achieved now and he would have been less relevant. Politically, he wouldn't have been seen the way he is being seen today. Now that APC has won the election, they need strong men like some of the ones you have mentioned to challenge them for them to sit up. Have you reasoned what this country would have been like without the emergence of a strong opposition like APC? So they are still relevant and are going to be useful when the need arises. |
To be candid with you @OP, there is nothing you can do about this. You cannot achieve anything by taking them to court (for what reason?). You have no claim, no matter which lawyer you approach. No reasonable lawyer will listen to you on this. You did not open it; you did not drink it; it has not caused any harm to you. What are you going to claim is the wrong they have done to you. Oh shit! I can't believe I have typed this long epistle addressing this thrash. Go get some sense here: http://www.nelsonchima..com/ |
Do well to send me her phone number at maobic@yahoo.com so that I will help you and council her. I will council her in such a way that she would not know that you sent me. Send her number and name to me and you will have rest of mind. |
pendicle:Mind u, what u are calling free education is not really free. It is better we set the record straight than to open ur eyes and allow yourself to be fed with white lies as if u are a zombie or a slave that has no choice. The students in the higher institution pay to collect cheque to go and deposit the same cheque into the same account. What form of free education is that. I paid for my wards who claim to be benefiting from the so called free education. They were made to show the receipt they used to pay for the N20K + before they are given the cheque for their scholarship. They should have told us how much the new tuition is than to feed us with white lies. |
I think the result posted by the person above (Obama9ja) is proving what I was told about shooting to disperse voters in Aba and some other areas in Abia. High number of registered voters with very few accredited. |
A reliable source from Aba, Abia state said that thugs were shooting sporadically dispersing voters from polling units because they sensed that they were not voting PDP. I know very well that under normal voting, APGA will clear all polling units with overwhelming huge margin. The source also said that T. A. Orji refused to allow soldiers to secure anywhere in Abia so that the thugs would have their ways. I think that is the reason for the early call by APGA and APC candidates for cancellation. I wish the people in Aba, Arochukwu and other areas where the shooting took place will send in pictures as evidence. If any result should come from Abia to declare PDP winner, the election must be cancelled and rescheduled so that soldiers will help in monitoring the election. |
Though I agree that it is a good one but must be checked for security reasons. It could be an opportunity for terrorist attack. Our security personnel should beware. |
It was yet another tragedy in Lagos when a container fell off a trailer and smacked into commercial bus along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. But miraculously, there was no life lost. According to eyewitnesses, the trailer had a failed break and in a bid to control what would have been a monumental disaster, the container fell off and landed on the bus which was a complete write off. Strange things do happen that would make one wonder if there is any surprise left in this world. There is this report in a Gulf Online Newspaper that a very wealthy Qatari Prince has offered to pay his wayward daughter the sum of $20 million (about N4 billion), to stay off sex for the rest of her life. The Prince is said to be unhappy with the way his daughter has been carrying on, jumping from one man to the other, bringing shame to the family. Aside the money, the report also has it that if the lady agrees to the deal with her father, she would also have an Island for herself, a yacht and other goodies that would make her richer than any woman that ever lived. Let us bring back this scenario to Nigeria. Today, we ask: would you stay off sex for the rest of your life if you are offered N4 billion? A Zimbabwean woman identified as Emily Nyondo, suffered a heart seizure and died on the spot out of shock at catching her husband having sex with another woman on their matrimonial bed. Nyondo, according to MyZimbabwe.com, had come back to their apartment at Cowdray Park in Bulawayo unannounced, only to bump into her husband, Oscar Nyondo, as busy as a rabbit in bed with another woman. But the husband has denied his wife catching him in the act, blaming evil people for spreading the rumour that his wife slumped and died after she caught him in bed with another woman. But her family insists that the shock of what she saw must have been too much for Emily than she slumped and died of heart attack. The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has urged Nigerians not to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) saying that the ruling party would turn the state into a war zone. The APC also said that the PDP had a grand plan to incite violence in Lagos and destroy the peace the state has been enjoying. The comments were made by the Publicity Secretary of the Lagos APC, Joe Igbokwe, in a statement released on Monday, March 23. The statement reads: “We want to alert the good people of Lagos to the grand design by the PDP that has supervised the worst security crisis the country since the civil war, to launch unending violence and seek to compromise the enviable security situation we have been enjoying when other parts of the country became theatres of insecurity.” “We want to alert Lagosians that sponsoring and launching gun-toting OPC militias on Lagos streets is the last ditch effort of an incompetent government to launch violence on Lagosians so as to prepare them for the return of wholesome criminality and other forms of insecurity that Lagosians have put behind them.” “We want to remind Lagosians that the same way and manner the PDP and the Jonathan presidency are sponsoring and arming OPC to cause mayhem and insecurity in Lagos was the same way the PDP armed and sponsored hoodlums in the South-South, and after elections they became kidnappers and assassins and Nigeria has not recovered from this.” “The same way and manner was also adopted by the PDP to train and sponsor hoodlums for electoral violence in the North and they were soon to become Boko Haram militants, as revealed by the late former National Security Adviser, Gen. Andrew Azazi.” “We want to warn Lagosians that the return of violent crime and violent political campaigns by the desperate PDP in its bid to overwhelm and conquer Lagos will inflict tremendous harm on their wellbeing and security, if Lagosians cast their votes for the PDP. We warn that voting for PDP, which has compromised the peace and tranquility of Lagos as a result of its deadly desire for power in recent weeks.” The APC had earlier accused the PDP of plotting to arrest its leaders and perceived financiers. For a long time, many Women right organisations have moved against undue discrimination against women. This discrimination has trickled down into various aspects of society prompting unequal and unfair treatment of women on many levels. Using Nigeria as a case study, our focus today is on female inheritance and equality with their male counterparts. According to customary laws in some areas, women are not entitled to equal inheritance like the males. This inequality has existed for a long time causing conflicts among family members and creating rifts between siblings and relatives. A lot of people have differing opinions on the subject and as much as equality seems the best option, many might not exactly agree. Lets find out in the video what people have to say when asked the question; Should female children have equal inheritance like males? GEJ really tried on this road. I passed there last month and early this month. It was nice. His predecessors ignored the road and only used it to embezzle Nigerian money but he came and did it and is still doing more. It is just unfortunate that the people that are supposed to be informing the masses of GEJ's good deeds are not doing well. His achievements are rather silent but superb. The People's Republic of China has now become the world's 3rd largest exporter of arms, after the United States andRussia, BBC reports. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), China overtook Germany, France and theUnited Kingdom in exporting weapons between 2010 and 2014, leading the country to now account for about 5% of the world's exports of arms. Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar, all Asian countries also account for more than two-thirds of those exports. The SIPRI report also shows that China had 18 African nations as clients during the five year period. It further showed a 16% increase in the volume of arms transferred around the world. While the US accounted for 31% of the world's weapons exports, while Russia sold 27%, Germany's arms exports fell by 43%, while France's dropped 27% in the same time frame. Protesters numbering close to a million marched across cities and towns in Brazil on Sunday calling for the removal of president, Dilma Rousseff. The protesters called for the president's impeachment owing to the country's sluggish economy, rising prices and corruption. The multi billion-dollar corruption scandal at state-run energy company Petroleo Brasileiro SA, or Petrobras is also another core issue which the protesters marched against. Reuters reports that the protest comes as the country struggles to overcome economic and political malaise and pick up the pieces of a boom that crumbled about the time Rousseff took office in 2011. Reports say that Rousseff, now early into her second four-year term, is however unlikely to face the impeachment proceedings called for by many opponents. The protests have been described as a sign of a polarized country increasingly unhappy with its leadership and the unexpectedly large demonstrations are speculated to embolden opposition parties and restive allies. Speaking with newsmen, 2 members of President Rousseff's cabinet recognized the rights of protesters, but downplayed the importance of the demonstrations, saying they were expressions of discontent by those defeated at the polls. Ironically, many protesters hail from the country's wealthier classes, who traditionally have opposed the ruling Workers' Party. Brazil's economic prospects have been described as grim even as many economists expect it to slip into recession and investors fear the country could lose its investment-grade status. Inflation also runs at a 10-year high, while Brazil's currency, thereal, has lost over 22% of its value against the dollar this year. Source: http://www.nelsonchima..com/?m=1 |

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that the Boko Haram sect grew in strength because the corrupt and incompetent government under President Goodluck Jonathan had not recognised the threat it posed. Obasanjo also blamed Jonathan for the continued captivity of the abducted Chibok girls saying that they would’ve been rescued if the government had acted fast enough. Obasanjo stated this during an interview with IBTimes UK while attending the Global Education Forum conference in Dubai. "The response of the government initially was definitely not enough. When Boko Haram started showing their fangs about four years ago the reaction should have been firm and unmistakable. We have lost ground,” Obasanjo said. “It has become a regional issue and we have to deal with it regionally,” he added. On the missing Chibok girls, he said: "The government did not believe that there had been an abduction for some time. If that had happened maybe the girls would have been rescued,” Obasanjo said. Obasanjo also said that there could only be dialogue with the terrorists after they had been severely pounded by military force. Source: http://www.nelsonchima..com/?m=1 |
