Women in EKiti came out to protest yesterday over the arrest of 30 of their sons over allegations of attempting to burn a king's palace.

It was gathered that the women, some of whom appeared topless or half-naked on Wednesday, held leaves and chanting hate songs against the king and demanding the release of their children.

The trouble began on Monday when angry youths stormed the streets to protest power cuts by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company which was responsible for electricity in the area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Alberto Adeyemi, told reporters on Sunday that those arrested had been released except five of them still under investigation.

If found guilty, they will be charged to court depending on their levels of involvement.

A mother of three got the surprise of her life when she gave birth to a full term baby in the shower thinking she was just 12 weeks pregnant.

Brittany Young, who lives in Des Moines, Iowa, was having intense pain on Wednesday so she got into the shower. Five minutes later, she gave birth to a baby girl.

The baby who is healthy and happy, and did not even cry, has been named Miracle.

The speedy labour is likely due to the fact that Young has had three other labors in just the past few years.

"I've been in shock for the last couple of days, because I didn't expect a full-term baby," Young said. "With my other kids, I had like three or four pushes. And with her it was just one and she was there."

Little Miracle meanwhile could not have done better in the situation.

"This baby's eyes were open; she was just sitting there staring at me. She didn't cry or anything," Young said. "I was in shock. I was like, there's a baby here."

A friend called an ambulance, and Miracle was treated and released back to her mother.

Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag bearer, Muhammadu Buhari has lost in the race to becoming Nigeria’s president the second time already, given that former VP Atiku Abubakar and some Northern leaders have withdrawn their support for the APC – the claim which has not been confirmed.

Punch reports that, a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, in Ado-Ekiti, the Governor said that the new development has deflated the ego of the opposition party to the extent that it has tactically conceded defeat few days to the March 28 presidential election.

He revealed that the Northern leaders terminated their support after realising that Buhari would be made to short-change the North. He claimed the development caused distress in the APC camp.

Fasoye also said that Atiku and his supporters were already making their way back to the PDP and that the North had seen the deceit in APC South-west leaders in pushing forward Buhari, even against the man’s interest.

This man has said it all. He has nailed it. The main problem of Nigeria is the structure. Even if the holiest one occupies the seat today, what is happening will still keep happening. Some of the Yorubas that are shouting GMB have very short memories. They forgot what they and their fathers claimed to have stood for (progressive). They cried for this confab for so many years but the past regimes, including their own OBJ turned deaf ears to it and wished it dead. Now, Jonathan came and made it a reality but out of their hatred for certain tribe and belief in the deceit of some group, they would not see what is happening. They now seem to like the way they had been. Their ancestors will eternally hunt them for abandoning their course. For those who really know what they want, go ahead and support the person that has taken the step to giving it to you. You shall be victorious.

ecstasy because of the beauty of the road. But
Jonathan came in and destroyed that road and all
other
roads.
When I passed through Ore this Christmas/New

season, I was surprised at the havoc Jonathan had
done to that road through the SURE-P programme. It
took me six days to travel from Lagos to Onitsha and
five and half days on my return trip! Last year,
Jonathan inaugurated the destruction of the Lagos-
Ibadan Expressway, with Julius Berger handling the
Lagos to Sagamu part and RCC handling the Sagamu
to
Ibadan part. When I visited Ibadan/Osogbo two
months
ago, I noticed that some portions of the road had
already been destroyed.
If the companies keep to the four-year destruction
plan, by 2017, that road would have been fully
destroyed. The Apapa-Oshodi Expressway that used
to
be loved by drivers of heavy-duty trucks because of
its
smoothness has now been destroyed by Jonathan.
He
has done the same thing to other wonderful roads
in
other parts of the country. What a man!

I am totally disappointed by these so called "pastors" in the North. I wonder how they are leading the Christians there. I hope their members would reason properly and be wise. They went to the meeting to collect bribe from APC/Buhari to endorse Buhari. Now they were were dribbled by APC/Buhari. The few who shared the 500 Million Naira claimed it was agreed by all while the majority that felt cheated cried foul. They are sharing money to pastors to induce them. Who knows how many Nigerians the APC/Buhari has deceived into supporting them through this means. APC/Buhari wants to rid Nigeria of corruption. Is it this way? Now, if I may ask, is bribery not part of corruption? If APC/Buhari gives bribe, it is called "welfare package". Is this the change we should expect? I am still watching this APC/Buhari and their change in 3-D.

Honestly speaking, I have been longing to meet people like you who understand issues the way the are. It's either some of the people praising GMB here and there were not born when he ruled before or they were very small then to understand or they have very short memory or the are just being mischievous. I know very well that if Buhari should become the president today (I bind that. It won't happen.) 95% of them will change their songs against him because they will understand he is not what they call him. GMB is only deceiving them to believe he is a good man. At the toll gate, it is boldly written that you should count and confirm your balance before leaving.
