Politics / Re: Obasanjo Donates A Chimpanzee ‘Patience’ To A Zoo by Nely77(m): 5:40pm On May 05, 2016
Elijahrona2:
Pandrillus, a conservation organisation based in Nigeria and Cameroun disclosed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo donated a chimpazee named ‘Patience’ to them. The organization, with a location in Calabar, Cross Rivers Stae, are dedicated to promoting the survial of the highly endangered Drill (Mandrillus leucopheus) and providing safe haven for orphaned chimpazees. They shared this photo on their official Facebook page today, writing:

“Seen here at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Wildlife Park in Abeokuta – from left: Peter, Liza with Patience, and Mr. President. As President of Nigeria, he visited Drill Ranch in 2001, and made a follow up visit in 2011. President Obasanjo recognises the special care needs of chimpanzees and therefore decided to place 3 year old Patience with Pandrillus so she can grow up in the forest as part of the large chimpanzee group at Drill Ranch Afi Mountain. Thank you, Mr. President!
Patience is a fantastic chimpanzee who has been well cared for by the staff of the OOPL Wildlife Park. Once she has completed her medical screening in Calabar, she will join the group at the newly completed Nigerian Chimpanzee Center – located at Drill Ranch Afi Mountain in Boki LGA of Cross River State.
Pandrillus thanks Mr. President and his staff for their logistical support and hospitality during Peter and Liza’s working visit. We also thank Air Peace for carrying all three back to Calabar.
Welcome, Patience!”

Events / Accident At Ajah Involving Keke Marwa by Nely77(m): 6:50pm On Apr 18, 2016
I was going from Abraham Adesanya to Ajah roundabout when I saw this Keke Marwa lying upside down by the road. On a closer look, I saw two men nursing their injuries with one of them bleeding seriously from his head. About three or four other people were trying to tie his wounded head with cloth to stop the bleeding. I was confused as I was trying to reason how it could have happened. I then noticed a Toyota Camry car in front of the Marwa. It happened that the Camry had hit the Keke marwa from behind causing it to tumble, smarshing its glasses and top with the people inside sustaining serious injuries.
Keke drivers and other road users should always apply caution on the roads especially on the highways.

Ambassadors:
And every one thinks he is truly going to surrender? That's funny. He is right that his time has come, but we must be prepared for one of the worst terrorist attack Nigeria has ever experienced. Am sure he is sacrificing himself during that attack. Nigeria be highly vigilant!
Don't be surprised that many would be excited that he has surrendered and that Boko Haram has been defeated with this statement of his. He has simply made this statement (if he did at all) to deceive Nigerians, Nigerian soldiers, the government and the people so that he can have time to change his strategies and take all unaware. On the other hand, if he truly surrenders, then our present government will have a lot of explanations to give us.
All should be guided.

I wonder why these three men and woman would still retain their positions/jobs after this when the present government says they are seriously fighting corruption. Is it not clear now that these four employees of the present federal government are not in any way corrupt-free? The federal government should show us how they are truly fighting corruption by treating this issue the way it ought to be treated and show the masses how corrupt-free they can be.

Politics / Re: Day 4: Total Blackout In Nigeria. Why The Silence? by Nely77(m): 10:09am On Mar 10, 2016
Truth be told. The government of the day want to use every possible tactics to cajole the masses into accepting whatever they propose to do on electricity tariff. I believe this because of the comment made by the discos representative at the senate that "Nigerians should be ready to face blackouts if they refuse to accept the tariff increment" and the minister for power supported them. It then means that what we are experiencing now and what we are going to face in future have been planned ahead. I can only urge the Nigerian masses not to succumb to this blackmail.

Business / Re: ATM Scam: See The New Method Used By Fraudsters by Nely77(m): 9:56pm On Feb 26, 2016
I got similar sms from the mobile line +234810778707 saying "http://www.smscaster.com Dear customer, Due to system Upgrade your ATMCARD has been de_activated to re_activate call, Mr Daniel on 08064993499". I immediately knew it was a scam. It has a lot of grammatical/typographical errors. I ignored it.

Another one also came from +2347036319045 saying "Dear customer, due to BVN registration, your ATM card has just been De-activated, to re-activate kindly call our BVN room 0092348066214625(CBN)". I also knew it was a scam. I only called back to warm him.

Note that the "BVN room" number 0092348066214625 is the same as 08066214625. The replacement of the starting 0 with 009234 does not change the number. Be on your guard. Monster fraudsters are everywhere now. Open your eyes wela!

Expose your ignorance. Your comment above shows that you know nowhere in Lagos. Probably you know only your ghetto. This is Lekki. I can even tell you the spot where this happened from the picture. This should be students of Victoria Island Secondary school and the area is by Oriental Hotels, Lekki. Those students always walk in pairs, male and female when going to and coming from school.
Romance / Re: I Stormed His Wedding & Made Him Cry After He Broke My Heart by Nely77(m): 11:28am On Feb 16, 2016
@Op, I pity your situation. You had all the time because you could not control your pain. You only attended the wedding to coll off your pains and worries but that is not the best way. It is painful though to find yourself in such a situation. I think you have to go back and look inwardly than the outward appearance you are trying to make up. Look inwardly and find what this guy has been enduring in you for the past four years of your relationship. I am a man and I am married. I dated someone for four years when I was single but did not marry her. Yet we are still good friends till today. Though our case is quite different. We mutually agreed to separate. In your own case, you showed arrogance by telling a man to go and marry if he had found someone. Those words are strong from a lady to a man or even vise versa. You simply trying to tell him that he cannot do without you. But you are wrong as you have seen. Not only that you said it but you maintained it for two good weeks till he got engaged to someone else and married her finally. You have a big problem. One of the most important things reasonable men look out for in a woman in marriage is humility. The man might have seen or suspected that you do not have that quality and decided to set it before you to see how much you would respect him. I bet you, the truth is that this man knew the other girl before now and has been facing pressure from her parents/relatives to chose between you and the girl. You made him chose the other by the way you reacted to his simple test. If you had shown sign of submission and love and later talked to him, you would have seen that he is not serious about relocating to Mowe. You are too myopic though you claim that you educated.

Nairaland / General / Commercial Bus "Danfo" In Flames At Lekki This Afternoon by Nely77(m): 2:44pm On Feb 11, 2016
A commercial bus popularly known as "danfo" caught fire this afternoon while in motion and got razed completely at Chevron Lekki this afternoon. There was no casualty recorded as all the passengers escaped safely. As at the time of this report, it appears that the owner (driver) was completely helpless as the bus was already in total ruin.

Politics / Re: What Went Wrong With Fashola? by Nely77(m): 11:59am On Feb 09, 2016
I bet that if this increase had been initiated by the last administration, Fashola and other APC supporters would have occupied the entire Nigeria for that reason. This government simply has a way of tricking the masses into believing that even the worst condition is the best for them.
