Lassa Fever got its name from the name of a town in Borno state, Nigeria where it was first discovered in 1969. Lassa fever virus has its primary carrier as rat. Humans could be infected with Lassa fever by contact with food or household items contaminated with infected rat excreta or urine. Among humans, the lassa fever virus is spread from and infected person through contact with contaminated body fluid and waste products. When once one is infected, the early symptoms ranges from fever, headache, malaise, myalgia, cough, pharyngitis, vomiting to retrosternal pain. The infection could only be confirmed through a laboratory test. At the advanced stage of the disease, the symptoms include high fever, serious headache, pains in the chest region, dry and sore throat, continuous stooling and vomiting and bleeding from the mouth, nose and vagina and finally death. The incubation period of Lassa Fever is 21 days. If a person is suspected to have the disease, he will be put in an isolation room for 21 days in order to confirm if he/she has the disease or not through a laboratory test. Preventive Measures 1. Kill all rats within your location using rodenticides; office or home. 2. Ensure food is properly covered, either cooked or uncooked. 3. Store grains in rodent-proof containers. 4. Liquid soap and antiseptics should be used to wash the hands and hand sanitizer used thereafter. 5. Also, other rules of regular hand-washing should be adhered to always. 6. Maintain clean envirnment and proper waste disposal. Read more from the source .... http://nelsonchima..com.ng/2016/01/lassa-fever-and-its-prevention.html

When the senate declared that they cannot find the 2016 budget! Nigerians started searching hard for the missing budget.

lekkie073:I watched the video. It's and old one. At a stage a woman came up there to settle the matter. I saw it then. |
amtaken:I like this revelation. I do not know the platform this man is coming out from (PDP or APC). I doubt if it is PDP. Akwaibomites should be wise. Do not support this candidate if he has this attributes. He is the wrong candidate. Avoid him like leprosy. He would never do you any good if you elect him. |
If I could recollect well, APC started this kind of thing being called "nonsense". They have done it in many states claiming to be burying PDP. They have taught PDP. I know very well that before APC came into power PDP had never done a thing like this. Immediately APC captured power, they started this as part of their propaganda all in a bid to claim power. It's childish. They have succeeded in introducing bitter politics to this country. Though PDP did some things wrong from 1999 to 2014, but APC should try and swallow their pride and learn from Goodluck Jonathan how best to play politics without destroying the people/massesm |
This cow is a terrorist! I blame Johnathan!! |
Exactly what happened in 1984/85 when suspects where arrested, charged and acquitted but rearrested and indefinitely detained without trial. Some where killed in the process while some grew white beards in detention. History is replaying itself now! |
I vividly remember that this government under opposition, told us that there was nothing like subsidy and accused the former administration of using it as disguise to loot money. What do we believe now? If there was no subsidy that time then what is this government removing now? APC always playing bitter politics at all cost! |
Unfortunately your list of the types of men is not complete because it does not capture my type. ![]() |

Thank God no life was lost. The fire has been controlled. About 7 families were affected. |
There is fire outbreak at Igbo-Efon Lekki, Lagos just opposite the house that got burnt few months back. The fire started at about 10:30pm this night. The cause has not been ascertained. The Lagos fire service has been contacted and they have responded to it. They are currently trying to put the fire under control. Before the fire service men could arrive, the fire had razed some houses. The image shows the scene with the fire service men at work and some of the residents whose houses were affected. We really have to be careful in this season. Read More Here: http://nelsonchima..com.ng/2015/12/fire-outbreak-at-fadeyi-street-igbo.html?m=1

tonyfrenzy:@tonyfrenzy, I hope you reason with your head. Had a thing like this happened before in the past regimes? When power, transportation, petroleum, finance/economy, ... and even INEC failed in the past regimes, who did you hold responsible? Please call a spade a spade and stop playing defense with your political propaganda. This government has failed right from the first appointment of the former INEC chairman and this one and I do not think that they can get it right in terms of election in this country the way I have seen them, judging from the way they are going. GEJ had given Nigeria the best election so far without the executive interfering with the conduct. |
Where has PMB been since 5th of December that this election took place? Did he not know that the result of the election should have been announced on the 6th and someone declared winner? Did he not hear what happened there on that 5th and what his military officers he sent did in favour of APC? Is he speaking out now because the international observers have deeply criticized the conduct of the election? APC is a scam! There is nothing like change. Or there is change in the negative direction because PDP government had never spent up to one week to conclude a general election not to talk of in a state as small as Bayelsa with only 8 small LGAs. It is so shameful. |
porka:It appears the government of the day is completely clueless to the solution to fuel crisis. Their supporters and praise singers are still blindfolded by hatred for the past government that they cannot notice the suffering they are going through. I can hardly remember anytime fuel got scarce or Nigerians suffered so much to have access to fuel between 2011 and 2014. It was rare if it did happen at all. Nigerians should shove off hatred and see the reality on ground. |
The way they mention figures (billions) is so outrageous. It seems to me that the present government want to include the money they plan to embezzle and put all blame on the past government. Again, why selective probe? Why picking only 2007 to 2014? Why not probe the whole of democratic regimes ( 1999 to 2014 so that we will all know that the present government is not partial about their "fight" against corruption? Just like 1984/85, nothing has changed. |
shachris02:... like you people did. |
Exactly the truth. The same Social Media that helped APC to capture power. The same social media that APC used in criticizing PDP the most. APC used this same social media "bridge" to cross over to the seat of power. Now they want it cut off because they have achieved what they want with it. Let no other use it to criticize them the way they did to other. They are now afraid of the social media (their greatest weapon). They forgot one thing. That they can only succeed in cutting it off to a certain limit but not completely. They have failed woefully in this one. The social media has come to stay. Let them look for other things that will benefit the masses and do them rather than wasting their time fighting the social media. They are still thinking in the 80s forgetting that they did it then in the 80s and got away with it because of the level of technological awareness then. Things have changed a lot now. Let them upgrade! |
Key Facts… Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) is a viral respiratory disease caused by a novel coronavirus (MERS‐CoV) that was first identified in Saudi Arabia in 2012. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that can cause diseases ranging from the common cold to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). Typical MERS symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Pneumonia is common, but not always present. Gastrointestinal symptoms, including diarrhoea, have also been reported. Approximately 36% of reported patients with MERS have died. Although the majority of human cases of MERS have been attributed to human-to-human infections, camels are likely to be a major reservoir host for MERS-CoVand an animal source of MERS infection in humans. However, the exact role of camels in transmission of the virus and the exact route(s) of transmission are unknown. Honestly, on three different occasions this has happened to me with three different girls. One had the intention but did not make it open immediately. Though she did not pretend. The second made her intention open and even went as far as struggling with me to force me to make love to her. The third person completely pretended to be seeking help from me (to offer her a place to sleep for some days) which I rendered to her. Today when they see me, they feel ashamed to an extent. |
One(1) faceless person. If she is genuine and proud of what she is doing, why did she have to cover her face or face the ground while taking the picture? Who knows her? |
My own be say, it's good as they carry them go "Holy Wounds Hospital". After all na wound they wound them. |
Lesson: Peter is good, elephant is bad. But OP, is your surname liar? I can see that it is flowing in your blood. Next> |
KiKiKiKiKiKiKiKikikikiKi....... This Saraki of a guy is holding APC on their brokos. APC done just go match shiit. No be Oyinbo shiit oo! Na aboki shiit APC go match. |
Things had never got this messy at the national assembly before now. I think APC is not in any way matured to take this country to anywhere (forth or back). Everything has been at stand-still since APC was sworn in. I hope they don't take us back to 1993. We want to move forward. APC should wake up now or apologise to PDP. |
