All you do is to repel. They will still come back, kill many people, destroy houses, then you will repel. Next, you catch a few of them, hand them over to Nigerian government and they will release them after 24hours, rehabilitate them and send them abroad for scholarship, while you die in your thousands.
Look at what Chadian Soldiers are doing. Nonsense. Keep repelling and dieing.

He should have considered the cost of production as well.
If price of raw material increases, ultimately, it will lead to a correspondence increase in the price of the finished products.

So what measure did he put in place to check the price of raw materials, transportation and warehousing?
This is simple elementary Economics.

Being an accountant doesn't make him an Economist. There is always an accountant's view in monetary economics, which is distinct from an Economist view point. He spoke like an accountant.
Most accountants believe in expansionary economic policies, even in the midst of inflationary pressures.
An Economist will factor in so many variables before drawing such conclusion. He failed to take note the fact US and other developed countries that resorted to stimulate their economies via printing of more currencies are productive nations, unlike Nigeria that is dependent on imports and consumption.
Printing extra money without correspondent increase in productivity, amidst this lock down in the country will trigger hyper and stagflation.
This is an Economist point of view.

I tell you I accept your position that when more money chase a product or service, there is inflation. However, US itself is not self sufficient. Production is at an all time low in the US too, reason why Trump wants to open up the economy DESPERATELY. With 2 trillion dollars to cushion the effects of this virus in the US and over 3.5 million people (and still growing) filling for unemployment benefit within a week in the US, we can not say things are okay for the US as the US economy is heading to hit the iceberg. So, considering this scenario, can you as an academia still justifies the position of the US to print more currency and has the world agreed that the US should print more dollars whenever they have issues to bail themselves out and settle all international trades with such an "artifically-produced" dollars?
It does not make economic sense even in the case of US. But remember, in economics, there are variables you have to factor in before drawing your conclusions, though some may be stochastic.
First, US has a higher Special Drawing Right (SDR) from International Monetary Organizations than a less developed nation like Nigeria and therefore can absorb external economic shocks because of its advantage in purchasing power parity. Nigeria's external reserves cannot be compared to that of US which can be used to offset balance of payment disequilibrium.

MT:
While I am neutral in this case, do you realise that academic knowledge alone might not suffice on the field, where the real variables are interracting. Then again, if you are a lecturer in the US and a student gives you this kind of advice, will you accept it or you will raise the same red flag?. Can you justify your position considering the 2 scenarios please?. Please note that I was not attacking your submission, I just wanted to learn genuinely.
Sure, these are two different scenarios. In the case of US, there was economic depression, however, investment and productivity in the real sector was not severed. The economy was running, but there was negative growth for many consecutive times i.e economic depression.
Scenario 2 , Most companies in Nigeria are closed down, government offices are closed, most retail businesses are equally closed, meaning, productivity is below equilibrium, supply is low, demand is high in relation to supply, leading to vicious circle of poverty, since household members are home together at the moment. So printing more money to chase a few available goods will render the goods worthless and increase the vicious circle of poverty , especially in the long run.

Don't mind them, someone that sells shoes in onitsha suddenly knows more than an accountant that has worked with multinational firms.
I just laugh at all this guys
If truly he is an Accountant as you posited, but committed this kind of economic blunder, then his certificate is questionable. I am a trained Economist with years of teaching experience at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. If my student gives me this kind of advice in Class, I will be worried so to speak. As an Accountant, he ought to have factored in some macroeconomic variables that can trigger inflationary pressures both in the short run and long run, owing to low level of productivity at the moment, resulting in sharp increase in demand over supply, holding other factors constant. The penacea to this economic debacle and Quagmire is to raise productivity of household goods and break the chain of distribution - from producers directly to consumers, in order to avoid hoarding and price hike.
PoliticsRe: Print More Naira Notes - Tinubu Tells FG by neoclassical: 8:04pm On Mar 28, 2020
Hahaha, did this man go to school at all. What happens to inflation? So elementary economics didn't tell you that when large quantity of money in circulation Chases a few available goods and services in the economy, prices will skyrocket and that will ultimately lead to hyperinflation owing to this present economic situation. Productivity is low at the moment leading to shortages in supply in relation to demand, yet you want to print more money. Voodoo economics.

PoliticsPresident Buhari Has Proven To Be The Worst President In The History Of Nigeria by neoclassical(op):
Nigeria has never had it this bad. A situation, where citizens can neither see nor hear from their President, amidst this epidemic. Over 70 Soldiers were killed recently but the President never showed up nor say anything. Nigerians are suffering at home, businesses closed, jobs lost, yet the President's whereabouts is not known

Donald Trump and Presidents of other countries are up and doing in the fight against this virus, yet some idiot,s only showed us a picture of Buhari in his office. Nobody hears from him nor see him and you say we have a President.

At least, by now, we would have been hearing "Fellow Nigerians... " intermittently from Obj, Yaradua or GEJ , that alone can give people hope.

Worst President ever.

PoliticsFG Released $150M To Timipreye Sylva For Bayelsa Election - Bayelsa APC by neoclassical(op): 6:05pm On Mar 10, 2020
The APC had planned to turn Bayelsa State to a Carnival.
Bayelsans were to have endless parties for a month, free food was to be given to people at different points across the state.

All hotels had been paid upfront in Bayelsa to accommodate commercial sex workers from other states. Militants were to be placed in charge of security in the state.
It was supposed to be an entire month of jamborees and wastefulness, and it never happened as the Supreme Court made the ruling.

The Bayelsa chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has also called on the country’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to as a matter of urgency, launch an investigation into all the monies, Loans and collateral given to Timipre Sylva which were never accounted or judiciously used for the Bayelsa election.
It is in good knowledge that Timipre Sylva received over $150m for Bayelsa election and only a meagre sum of $10m was handed over to David Lyon for the election.

Petty Jonathans.

A group known as APC Reformation Forum had accused the Jonathans for sabotaging their mandate after the election. The group says the Jonathans were petty and couldn’t wait for David Lyon to be inaugurated before they started making demands and collecting bullet proof cars.

Goodluck Jonathan, a leader of the PDP received N300m in cash to provide entertainment and logistics for his guests that were supposed to come to Bayelsa state for David Lyon’s inauguration, Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience had already concluded plans to attend the inauguration of an APC governor whose election was still contested in court by his party, an election that was adjudged by local and international observers to have been massively rigged in favor of the APC. This further exposes his disloyalty to his party that made him President.

You would recall that a group, PDP Renaissance group had in a press statement after the election, berated Goodluck Jonathan for failing to condemn the violence that took place in his home state during the elections.

Consequently, Counting down to the inauguration that never happened, there was already a conflagration of different groups (David Lyon, The Jonathans and Sylva) over commissioner nominees and other appointments in the state. David Lyon’s hands were already tied even before his botched swearing in.

An APC faithful our corespondent spoke with says, “Now that the game is over, it makes sense to lessen the burden of David Lyon that was used as a sacrificial lamb by Timipre Sylva. The vehicles and monies should be returned without drama to save face”.

Several PDP members and leaders in Bayelsa and outside Bayelsa have expressed disappointment towards the Jonathans over their role in the last elections and for also allowing their image and self acclaimed integrity to be dented with allegations of anti-Party activities and return of alleged N300m given to them for APC inauguration.

A Bayelsa state based member of the PDP in Yenagoa who asked to remain anonymous said that “Nigerians have always known that GEJ is a “careless man” in his politics and showed lack of critical judgment”

More on Jonathan…

Jonathan’s integrity came under scrutiny again recently when Olisa Metuh was found guilty of receiving N400m from Former NSA Sambo Dasuki for election campaign.
You would recall that Goodluck Jonathan failed to appear in court or speak up for Olisa Metuh during his trial when it is obvious that he (Jonathan) asked Olisa Metuh to collect the money from Dasuki.

As Bayelsa state slowly recovers from the wounds of the violence meted on it by APC loyalists after the Supreme Court ruling, yet the storm is not over. The APC struggles to put its house in order as more dirt of its financial dealings during the elections surface.

It's almost a year now the current Governor of Lagos state Mr Babajide Sanwoolu assumed office. can someone tell me a single project he started and completed within almost a year? Imagine Governor of Borno state Mr zullum built a big school within 100 days in office.
Same question I keep asking myself.

Sanwo Olu is a total failure so far. If that man should continue this way, I am sorry.
He is just an errand boy to Tinubu in Government House. Sanwo Olu dare not take any action without Tinubu's consent.
I think he started his tenure with the fear that Ambode's fate may befall him if he goes against the dictates of Lagos stakeholders. His service to Lagosians is secondary. All his allegiance is to the godfathers and APC King makers in Lagos State.
