Academic and Non-academic staff are not collecting same pay. That of academic staff is higher. The salary for FCoE is higher than their colleagues in the Universities. I don't know their exact salary but is better thank universities. Somebody with Msc in the University should collect less than 120K with the minimum wage increase.

The Senate President derives so much joy in approving cash withdrawal and loans. For many consecutive times, he has always reminded the President to present any budget, that he will approve it even without scrutiny. The country is finished.

I feel their pain honestly, because things are rough now. Left for me, this is not the right time to disengage them due to the Lockdown and it's attendant high cost of living.
However, I remember registering my younger sister in 2018 i.e batch B, and it was clearly stated that it is a two year programme. Now Batch A members have stayed close to 3 years.
If you want them to extend it, don't do it as if it is your right. Your time is up and you were told before you applied.
It's like a Corps member refusing to pass out after one year mandatory service, whereas he knew abnitio that the programme lasts for one year.
Let others benefit like you to ensure income redistribution.

With the minimum wage increase you should expect something like 2K added to your salary. I am sure GA should collect less than 110K. I am a lecturer with one of the FG Universities for over 8 years now.

All Nigerian Politicians are evil and wicked. I laugh whenever someone tells me that a particular politician is a Christian or Pastor. Except if you have never worked closely with them.

I worked with a Deacon, who was a member of State House of Assembly. Hon Deacon will preach in church on Sunday and share guns to his boys same Sunday night. After we finished school most people moved to cities like Lagos and Abuja after graduation but some stayed back in the east to pursue their careers and business. Fast forward to five years after. 99% of us that went to Lagos or Abuja had not settled down with a wife and were sweating to pay city rent. Most of the guys who stayed back in the east quickly married and started building their own houses at a much cheaper cost at their own pace. People need to start changing the paradigm

If crowded Lagos markets like Idumota market , Alaba International market, Trade fair etc can be allowed to operate, I wonder why schools cannot be reopened and be segmented.
I went to Alaba International market last week and from what I saw, the aim of the whole thing has been defeated already. The crowd in the market was so terrific that there was no free flow of human movement, let alone vehicular movement. People were pushing each other and I began to wonder what happened to social distancing. Bank premises were crowded to the fullest.
