All I going to do is to challenge Atiku and other Nigerian politicians to become more of patriotic nation builders than greedy title chasers and repent from using the poor masses as their political pawns and sacrificial lambs in their evil greed for power. From the submission, this is the only thing that matters and I hope they change. |

Nigeria isn't at war but the deaths as a result of the insurgence makes it look as though we have no government and we are experiencing another civil war. The annoying part is some people are calling for amnesty for these demons . I expect Bokoharam to end before the next election, if it doesn't and God forbid, PMB doesn't have any business in Aso Rock again. PMB act now and end this madness. RIP to the dead. |

Despite being brief, he is powerful. A mere Commissioner, yet powerful than Saraki. In fact, Saraki might not attain this position until he joins his ancestors.
Respect is reciprocal. Wisdom is better than strength. Being quiet isn't a sign of weakness but for the wise, they know such an individual is highly unpredictable.
I know this VP is great. |

Politics › Re: Senate Presidency; Saraki May Lose Post If Expelled By APC by nerodenero: 4:13pm On Jun 22, 2015 |
Spot on OPCNAIRALAND: What Saraki has gained is irreversible in the short term. However, he has locked himself in a dead end position.
In the long term, he has lost credibility in APC and the party leadership are uncomfortable trusting their Vice Presidential or even Presidential ticket in his hands.
The PDP want him to come back. If he does return voluntarily, or if he is involuntarily kicked out by APC and rejoins PDP, the success will be short lived as well. PDP could decide to impeach him and elevate Ikweremadu as Senate President. If they accomodate him to live out his term, they are aware that APC is regaining the Senate and House in 2019 and both Saraki and Ikweremadu will loose their short term leadership and become floor Senators. Having witnessed his intrigues too many times, PDP is unlikely to field Saraki as a VP or Presidential candidate.....for fear he might compromise the party interest for his selfish and impulsive interest.
So either way its looked at, Saraki is finished at national level. He might still have relevance in Kwara politics after his lesdership in Senate. |
Politics › Re: APC Crisis: Oyegun, Lai Mohammed May Be First to go by nerodenero: 7:48pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
The crisis rocking APC is just too early and I doubt they would survive to see 2019.
I remember the Jonathan issue with the Governor's Forum and other interparty issues that led to the nPDP and eventually, these aggrieved PDP members decamped to APC and PDP lost the general election. Jonathan's failure to put his house in order, led to him being sent back to Otueke.
I admired that PMB didn't interfere in the NASS Election, it showed he is indeed a leader but it is time for the President to interfere in this matter and put it to rest once and for all. PDP is watching closely, a slip cost APC the Deputy Senate seat and a further slip might be too disastrous to bear.
PMB, this is the time to act and act fast. |

That tradition is overboard. While in Anambra State, a friend of mine who hails from Akwa Ibom had the same challenge. After having a child for him and before the set date of his traditional wedding, his wife-to-be died. He had to perform all the traditional marriage rites afterward. According to him, after due consultation about the remote cause of her death, they alleged that his wife-to-be was fired with nails. I have never heard that before . He said after being fired these nails which I feel is spiritual, it is forbidden for the individual in question to receive injections. His wife had received injections in the hospital after she had come down with an unknown illness. Really weird world. |
