I was in ile-ife when my uncle's wife gave birth. When we got home, we realized he has jaundice. The solutions which grandma recommended, although she was a nurse but she used a combination of some home made solutions
1. You allow your baby get a glimpse of the morning sun, that one around 8 to 10am filled with VIT D, not the crazy sunrays in the afternoon oo
2. You get unripe papaya, you wash it well, you slice it with the bark, endocarp and seeds in it, and soak in water. The baby takes a teaspoon morning and night and the mom take a quarter cup of it daily.
3. To clear the yellow eyes, the mom would occasionally sprinkle her breast milk into his eyes.

I know these maybe dumb, but it was something I witnessed and it worked.
Please trying it is at your own risk and insult. But it works.

Baba we don't need to try at our own risk, we try at our confidence

MY son had it and that's excalty what we used!
My son was born with it. The hospital wanted to start turning me knowing they can't run the test so they refer me elsewhere to do the test and come back. I did the test, and never returned to them cos they wanted to put me in panic mode!

I used the above remedies. Early morning sun. Unripe ibepe (pawpaw) & omi oyan (breastmilk) for the eyes. Another thing that was a plus was my baby had a good appetite so he was drinking brezzmeek per sec.
The test here in Port Harcourt is 5k and phototherapy is 12-15k daily.
So OP, get the test done then follow whichever method you want to use.

It's because they don't set the truck ablaze that's why. That Artillery is known for such thing. I don't know how we got this bad.. As in to abandon a faulty truck in the middle of the road for days without sign or removal.
That same thing killed two people not long ago at that same artillery coming down from the bridge towards Rumuibekwe.

Colic did my daughter sege, imagine carrying baby with carrier all through the night for months just to make sure that she was not alone. I'd to seriously rebuked it when I was pregnant with my son because I heard that it disturbs male more sef and God answered my prayer. My son sleeps like baby from day 1. Mother's experience with colic is not a good one especially those that don't really have anyone with them except their husbands who is to go to work the next morning. Colic shown me pepper o but I was able to manage it beautifully sha because we slept in the day then not nights

So loro kan, that is to say there's nothing to sooth the pain niyen oo. Let me goan buy baby carrier then

It's a sort of tummy discomfort in babies. It's really discomforting with some babies crying or like mine, squeezing . It doesn't stop them from growing sha and it stops by the time they hit 3 months.

I didn't hear of this before now. My one month old baby is seriously being disturbed by colic.
It stated at exactly 2 weeks old, I was even very scared cos it started at midnight. My boy is strong, he doesn't cry but he'll just squeeze and groan

Please what can I give? I tried gripe water but not the result I wanted. Suggestions on what to give him pls

A very dear friend lost her fetus at 32 weeks, very disheartening something. While talking with her, she poured her heart out.. She said she does not know who to blame, whether to blame herself or to blame her hubby for not being there! That statement touched me. I know we men have to work, but we have to be there for our Wives especially during pregnancy. The power to act and decide rest on us!
Meanwhile, How soon is "see you back here soon?" 2024 right?? �

Your BS made me remember mine in October, 2019. Like your wife, my water broke without labor and cervice didn't open. After all the exercise I did without improvement, we had to go for emergency CS because fetal heartbeat was declining. My baby is two and a half years already and I'm back for my second missionary journey.

OK Una evening.. This is KingNeropapas aka DP, that is to say Daddy Phoenix ... I wan share our BS!!!

I for don nack una the tory but I see say plenty dust been raise for here and be like say no be right time, plus I've been doing daddy duties!
My wife's pregnancy journey was very smooth and stress free.. We TTC'd for a year and God answered us July last year. We registered under a scheme the moment we realised she was preggy. I chose the scheme cos private hospitals in Port Harcourt can really be expensive.
I didn't miss any ANC session with my wife.. I have the time so I could narrate all these stories better.
Let's fast forward to week 33 which was a bit scary cos wify had a high BP which was handled with few medications. We were given 2 EDDs, 15th and 18th April... We did more than 8 scans during pregnancy, that's because my wife works at an ultra sound center at a point, I had to caution her. Most of the scan said 15th, while two said 18th.
Sunday 10th of April started as a normal cool Sunday, the day started with BD which madam initiated , I have to give in cos una know na..!
By 2pm that day, We were in the sitting room watching TV.. I laid on the sofa, while madam sat pon di floor. She then stood up to get something from the bedroom, that was when she noticed water gush! She called me and I was like so what next? She said we wait! Ngwanu, we dey wait. I been don pack bag keep since. I then call my neighbour, a mother of 4 to come help check my wife, she came and said yes.. Water e yaff break. Madam don wear comfit pad and we dey wait. Could you all believe that after two hours, with the water still running at intervals, there's no contraction whatsoever. All other signs that were supposed to follow refuse to show up. Wify was still laidat.. I come turn doctor dey ask her.. How are you feeling now? She said nothing. Ha.. Nothing ke. Oya begin walk upandan na.. She did and still nothing. Wo after about an hour, making it wakati Meta (3 hours) that water haff broken.. I told her, we're going to the hospiru . We got there about 6pm. They confirmed water haff broke but service sorry cervix yaff not open. Ha, my village people, not today pls .. Well they monitored her all through the night, Baby's heartbeat was fine and she was fine too.. They said its normal in FTMs for water to break and contractions could start 12-18 hours later.
24hrs has passed still nothing. We were then sent for scan at about 10am.. The result showed baby was 39weeks old that day with EDD being 18th April. But the woman said the baby has to come out within the next 48hrs. Ok kila mase bayi? What's next? The doctor said we wait till night that if no show, they'll induce her.
So I stepped out to stroll while wify went back to her bed. Let's than 30mins,i came back to the labor ward, my wife is already on oxygen and drip.. Ha edakun, wazall this? They said the Baby's heartbeat is fainting abi going up! Ejo, pardin?? Don't let me faint here!! My wife has never been sick or admitted in her almost 3 decades of existence.. So the whole oxygen thing traumatised her. I calmed her and told her its just oxygen and its for her and the baby.. I now asked, didn't we just do a scan and everything is fine?? Why on earth is the Baby's heartbeat going up.. to where? At this point, I was scared too but didn't show it. My wife was on drip cos she was weak at this point. My younger brother called me and I narrated everything to him.. That's when he gingered that we shouldn't wait till midnight for the inducement. I then met the doctor and spoke to him calmly. He said well, CS is the next thing that if we wait till that midnight, something could go wrong.. Ha.. Ejo sir, Eni soribu . He said if they induce her, it may not work so well will still come to the CS.
I say ese sir.. Leave inducement out of this.. Let's go straight to CS.. That's how my wife was prepared for it!
At exactly 6pm, 11th April, 2022, Our CP.. Crown Prince was brought out of the operation room .. I didn't know how to feel. He greeted me cry.. I said welcome son !
Ejo, Where's my wife?? After about Anada 15 minutes, I was called to come and assist to carry my wife out of the operation room. Stepping in, I saw my beautiful wife smile at me. I kissed her pon di forehead .... Chai, see love in the theater .
My boy weighed 3.5kg and 50cm tall. We left the clinic after 3days...with baby, mother and daddy doing Fantabulous
All Glory to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who saw us through the journey.. May His name alone be Praised... Amin
