Christianity EtcRe: Happy Valentine by NeroPapas(m): 3:12pm On Feb 14, 2011
Saint Valentine's Day, commonly shortened to Valentine's Day,is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions The day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs, Saint Valentine, and was established by Pope Gelasius I in 496 AD. It was deleted from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969 by Pope Paul VI, but its religious observance is still permitted. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"wink. The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

Modern Valentine's Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards. grin

Regaining trust is like trying to heal a wounded flesh. It takes Time. Even when the wound is healed, the scar is there and it still requires lots of time for the scar to completely vanish.

Oh I forgot, you just set a generational curse in the family and who know when or how it'll end. grin
RomanceRe: At What Age Should A Guy Be Independent by NeroPapas(m): 11:49am On Jun 14, 2010
Independence should be every reasonable guy's dream and i strongly diagree with whoever said the yorubas don't like leaving their parent's house.

A guy should be independent as soon as he become an adult in his mind. But it's unfortunate how some people find it difficult to become independent

One of the couples just moved into a new apartment and the wife is trying to show them round the house, and you know women and fashion, if you watch very well, the wardrobe was the last place she took the to atleast to show off and surprise her friend and the screaming was their way of being happy for their friend. The husband on the other side is showing the friend the secret part of the house and you know how it is when it comes to beer and men so the guys had to sream their lungs out overshadowing the women and the women were so surprised wandering what could make the men act that way, with this analysis, go and see the video again and be a part of it. grin

Car TalkRe: Have You Ever Crashed A Car? by NeroPapas(m): 6:49pm On Feb 08, 2010
Bros,, Sorry say i dey reply late, i no quick see am. Yes I have crased a car b4 and what happened dat night still remain a misery to me,

It happened at about 10:15pm on the 3rd of October 2008, I went to a nearby clinic to take an anti-malaria injection, on my way back i was way normal and on reaching the gate, i was even talking with my friend in the car. I packed close to the gate, honk my horn waiting for the Aboki to open the gate when suddenly, the car ran thru the gate and crashed into the boy's quaters in front. Initially i tot i had killed somebody because we usually sit in front of the BQ but luckily that night, no one was outside.

In the BQ was my neighbor with her barely 2weeks old boy sitting on their couch inside, and becos of the inpact the car had on the BQ outer wall, they both were thrown on the floor inside. The airbag in the car by God's grace prevented us from flying out of the windshield. I struggled out of the car and collapsed. I was rushed to a clinic, got examined and i was proclaimed normal. I asked if i had killed anyone and i told no one was injured, The tory plenty o but make una see the motor and complete the rest.

CultureRe: Why do Nigerian Women Bear Their Father's Name, After Marriage? by NeroPapas(m): 11:09am On Nov 18, 2009
The Real tin is a woman should drop her father's name once she's married. If you think your father's name sounds better than your intended husband's to be, why don't you remain in you father's house and enjoy his name, have children in his house and still give your father's name to them. angry

And for those of you refering to the Bible, How did God refer to Adam and Eve?? Didn't God know they are two peoplehuh But the bible said , and He (God) called thier names Adam(refering to Adam and Eve).

Some men allow thier wives to keep their names just because they dont care But as for me, that woman must answer Mrs , Ayoola! Else no marry me. grin

RomanceRe: Why Should A Man Not Hit A Woman? by NeroPapas(m): 12:58pm On Nov 12, 2009
There are a thousand and one reasons for a  man could hit a woman even without her hitting him first. But that doesn't make a man by hitting a woman at slightest provocation. What makes a man is how to deal with them in such occassions because women generally could be a pain in the ass atimes.

But if a woman makes the mistake of hitting you first, my broda, Don't think twice to correct that mistake by giving it to her real hard. grin

RomanceRe: What Matters Most To you In A Relationship? by NeroPapas(m): 4:48pm On Nov 07, 2009
To me Love is the most important thing! It will make you stand when trust fails, it will make you carry on when the bridge of communication collapse, it will make you swallow your pride when you are treated with disdain, it will make your go extra mile to put a smile on the other party's face when you are perfroming below expectations, etc

It's not how people feel about you, it's how you feel about them. Read below message sent to me by a frien and you'll understand better:

A thought to share
It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80s arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On examining it I saw it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors and got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while! As she is a victim of Alzheimer's disease.

As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?' He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me but I still know who she is.' I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm and thought, 'That is the kind of love I want in my life. True love is neither physical nor romantic.

True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.
Peace is seeing a sunset and knowing who to thank. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.
FamilyRe: Why Are Men Afraid Of Successful Women by NeroPapas(m): 7:29pm On Nov 06, 2009
No real Man should be afraid, afear etc of any Woman, Successful or not!!! What nonsense If she comes with respect alongside her successfulness, respect her with same else, my brother don't fail to correct her mistake and put her in her place.

"God was not daft when he made you help mate, and not the head f d family", and The Bible said refering to Men that if any provide not for his own especially those of his own household, he is worse than an infidel, that is how how serious the issue is. Am not saying a woman can't be more successful that a man but she should be humble with it! Cos it gets intto their head forgeting they she's a woman.

Once a woman start doing the things a man ought to do, she's gradually buying the top post and soonet she would want to be giving orders forgeting the Bible says, a woman should not usurp authority over her man.

Men, please do your best to be Okay so that these women won't make our lives miserable.
