There are lots of problems we face Kids are involved nowadays, so you don't expect them to be flying kites Like idiots when their parents are suffering.
r u saying they shldnt grow up cos they're parents r suffering? for us it was part of growing up. |
u've got me nostalgic. . . i'm sure the fact that all they do is play x-box or ps and watch MTV has somefink to do wiv it! |
nope, tipsy as hell though. . . who's your least fav person on NL? |
AjanleKoko:i agree with you. . .but of course, this is naija, the B.Sc alone wont be enough. Jovie:like er'one says, you should choose electrical/electronics then if you can take some comp eng courses that deal in microcontrollers and sturvs, EE'll give you a much better grounding, even though you'll have to read up quite a bit on your own, if you're serious about it i can give you contacts that actually program microcontrollers in lagos, i worked with microcontrollers for my final year project and i'm thinking of making it a serious hobby, since you like functionality that'll be right up your alley, there are a million and one things you can do wiv uCs that are extremely practical. if you're serious about uCs(microcontrollers) you'll have to do a lot of reading and trial and error on your own o, if possible you cld go to one of them places that offer elctronics courses, i can rem only one becotech elect, a friend of mine went there, they do electronics training dont know if they do uCs. If you actually follow it up having a solid electronics background'll give you a very nice grounding for whatever you want to do later in life. |
ibkaye:not a lot to work with. . .if i remember anything i'll let u know though. . . |
Danish butter cookies. . . |
ibkaye:can you type a bit of the song? |
the chinese are the masters of shady biz, even the grants that they have been giving up and down the place, when they give u money, say, to build a railway, they specify that the money must be used to employ a chinese company to build the railway. . .etc. why do you think we have so many chinese companies executing projects in nigeria, when we all know they are the masters of cutting costs |
lol. . .they can write stories from today till tomorrow but NYSC isn't going anywhere, it would serve better if they diverted the energy to calls for a total overhaul of the way things are done in nysc but to call for a scrapping. . .they are on a long thing! |
splint007:why you dey beef them? oya ebonyeyes come and kiss the OP too. . . @OP why are you asking the question sef? are you looking for ppl to convinve you to indulge? cos i know the general consensus would be dont do it! |
platinumnk:i used that phrase cos most fights on NL usu end up in I'm __ and you're not. what was on my mind? i dont get that part! platinumnk:i'm not talking about 'not replying' what gets to me is when people start to trade insults up and down the place, granted there are times when you have to stand up for yourself/opinions but i've learnt if you feel you have to be rude to make a point then its more than likely you'll miss the point you're trying to make. A difference in opinions should not lead to insults flying up and down the place and more often than not all these fights span several thread and starts to create a funny atmosphere (esp when bystanders are not sure what caused the beef btw the combatants in the first place). there are some threads i wont bother posting in cos for me i'd rather not talk to a person at all than have the person disrespect me i, no one is worth the wahala, thats why i take the 'ignore' route most times, and of recent ppl i like hv just been fighting each other(not just on NL) its getting annoying, i mean. . .cant a brother just scope in peace without having to watch the members of his harem get into catfights with each other? platinumnk:you dont say. . .u know a similar thing could be said about the females too. . . platinumnk:we all love beccomerich(. . .sometimes ) but if i'm right, he's passionate yes, but he doesnt insult ppls parents and generations. (plus without him we never would have had the secrets of the mapo-republic revealed to us). . .i think the lameos on NL reside primarily in the romance section these daysplatinumnk:i woulda taken u up on the offer but my lawyer-girlfriend is currently involved in a catfight with my accountant-girlfriend ![]() |
They Used My Blood For Ritual: Girl, 15, Accuses Lover, Pastor December 22, 2009 13:31, 1,335 views By Damola Ogundimu A mild drama ensued at Isawo, Ikorodu, Lagos when a 15-year old girl (name withheld), a pupil of Government College, Ikorodu, accused her boyfriend, Akeem Ayinde, 18, and a pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ, Imisi Oluwa Parish, Ikorodu, Prophet Ojo Ikide, of using her blood for ritual. Speaking with P.M.NEWS, the victim said she had been dating Ayinde, a tailor, for about four months, but after a stern warning from her mother, she stopped the relationship. But on 9 December, on her way to school, the victim narrated that Akeem abducted her and took her to his aunty’s (Mrs. Kafilat Samson) house at 28, Aiyedogbon Street, Isawo and slept with her, despite her plea that she was a virgin and not ready to have sex. “After despoiling me, I was bleeding profusely and he brought out a white handkerchief to clean my private parts. Soon after, his mum came and took us to the Celestial Church where the Prophet told me to sit outside, while Ayinde and his mother were discussing with him inside the church. When the pastor came out, he asked if I was a virgin, and I said yes, and he told me to go home,” she said. The mother of the victim, Mrs. Omolola Adeyemi, told P.M.NEWS that when she got home that day she did not notice anything, but the victim’s father discovered blood on the bed where she (victim) slept. But when he asked her what was wrong, she said she was menstruating. A week after, she was not able to eat anything and was still bleeding. Mrs. Adeyemi said she and her husband took her to a pastor for prayers, and it was when she narrated her ordeal and encounter with her boyfriend and his family members in the church, that they notified policemen at the Owutu Division, who promptly arrested the culprit, his mother, the aunt and the pastor. Narrating his own side, the boyfriend, Akeem, 18 confessed that he made love to the girl and later took her to the church with his mum, because he loved her. He said he wanted to find out from the prophet if he can marry her. When asked why he took his mother along, he said it was his mother who knew the prophet. In his own confession, Prophet Ikide told P.M.NEWS that when the suspect brought the girl to his church, he told him that the girl was two small, and that she was also in school uniform. He felt embarrassed and told them he could only pray for them and charged them N5,000 for prayers. He explained that he was surprised when the girl and her mum came with the police to arrest him. The suspects are still being detained at the Owutu Police Station as at the time of filing this report, while the victim was taken to the Ikorodu General Hospital for medical examination. The police said the suspects would be charged to court after investigation http://thepmnews.com/2009/12/22/they-used-my-blood-for-ritual-girl-15-accuses-lover-pastor
so if she had not been too small what would have happened? did he issue them a receipt for the prayers? useless charlatan! |

nigeriavillagesquare[.]com it's a naija forum, but the ppl there are much older than the NL crowd, and much more mature sometimes plus someone there started a similar thread a while back and the ladies there actually hooked her up! |
netotse my bad but so who takes the responsibility for the crime? Was she not the minister of the ministry.Let me tell u forget these politicians. They STEAL the money while the civil servants tidy up the books.
no probs. . .she took responsibility as the boss. The gist funny o, cos after they shared the money, she returned what they gave her. . .lol, (i heard inside gist that time) FMOH staff were saying the only thing that she's guilty of is naivety! |
@gestapo you should also try to join other more mature forums, cos nairaland is a home to all sorts these days, personally i'd recommend NVS, the ppl there are more intellectual |
