I am hoping against hope that just by pure luck her children, nieces, nephews etc that are still enjoying our money are reading this. So that when next they are spending that loot that has led to hundreds of thousands dying of basic, easily treatable disease and has led to millions finding life a daily struggle they would remember the hatred it has brought them. That is the least we can do if the authorities can not, or will not, get them to a court stand and retrieve public funds. Lets diminish how they enjoy it by scorn, not praise-singing and empathy.

It is because of bas.stards like this I am in the freaking cold, foreign country eating mash potato and peas. Instead of going to the should-have-been-prestigious OAU and then being an Exec Director in IB in the should-have-been-world leading Investment Banking am of UBA, coming home to pepper soup every night.  grin
stop lying jo, the reason you're eating mashed potatoes and peas is cos u cant cook! stop trying to cover up. . .

CareerRe: Electrical Engineering: Aspirants and Practitioners by netotse(m): 9:44pm On Dec 26, 2009
AjanleKoko:
Since you like microdevices, go for electronic engineering. Methinks you'll probably have to take computer engineering courses anyways, microprocessors, computer architecture, etc. Like Wallie said, you can always take electives in computer engineering. Relevant ones would probably be in software engineering.
Besides, the BSc is general enough to round you out. Specialization comes later.
i agree with you. . .but of course, this is naija, the B.Sc alone wont be enough.

Jovie:
Hello,

I need help deciding between electronic engineering and computer engineering. I thought i would have enough time to decide, at least before i approach my final year in school.

Right now, our school is separating its Elecrical and Computer Engineering department into 3: Electrical/Electronics, Computer and Communication.

Personally, what I want to learn as an engineering student is how to design and develop what i call "intelligent" electronics.

- High tech gadgets that assimilate a lot of computer functionality into a miniature device
- finger print operated security systems
- automobile security and control systems

I'm just a freak for functionality. And i would love to create devices that can perform in a lot of unprecedented ways.

I dont know whether i can learn these things more easily under electronic engineering or under computer engineering. And considering the fact that computer engineering is not well defined yet, some schools teach more programming and less electronics, i seem not to know where to go right now.

I need advice, please
like er'one says, you should choose electrical/electronics then if you can take some comp eng courses that deal in microcontrollers and sturvs, EE'll give you a much better grounding, even though you'll have to read up quite a bit on your own, if you're serious about it i can give you contacts that actually program microcontrollers in lagos, i worked with microcontrollers for my final year project and i'm thinking of making it a serious hobby, since you like functionality that'll be right up your alley, there are a million and one things you can do wiv uCs that are extremely practical.

if you're serious about uCs(microcontrollers) you'll have to do a lot of reading and trial and error on your own o, if possible you cld go to one of them places that offer elctronics courses, i can rem only one becotech elect, a friend of mine went there, they do electronics training dont know if they do uCs. If you actually follow it up having a solid electronics background'll give you a very nice grounding for whatever you want to do later in life.

this is Poo. i dont like, most people are so fake on this forum . .  what the hell is with this" beneath" crap, oh because some one was bold enough to say what was already in your mind, what a load of donkey crap.
i used that phrase cos most fights on NL usu end up in I'm __ and you're not. what was on my mind? i dont get that part!

platinumnk:
I admire people not for being crass, but being open and honest. What the hell is all this "forming" for? As if we are in a regulated freakin business hall? There is a borderline between been rude and honest and yes one HAS TO KNOW THAT , but because one doesnt "reply" it makes them "better" than another one ? Or is everbody invalid to anger?
SMH- not one damm here person contributes to ones way life, so why should one be worried about what others think?
i'm not talking about 'not replying' what gets to me is when people start to trade insults up and down the place, granted there are times when you have to stand up for yourself/opinions but i've learnt if you feel you have to be rude to make a point then its more than likely you'll miss the point you're trying to make. A difference in opinions should not lead to insults flying up and down the place and more often than not all these fights span several thread and starts to create a funny atmosphere (esp when bystanders are not sure what caused the beef btw the combatants in the first place).

there are some threads i wont bother posting in cos for me i'd rather not talk to a person at all than have the person disrespect me i, no one is worth the wahala, thats why i take the 'ignore' route most times, and of recent ppl i like hv just been fighting each other(not just on NL) its getting annoying, i mean. . .cant a brother just scope in peace without having to watch the members of his harem get into catfights with each other?

platinumnk:
Too many fake ppl pansy assss nigaahs on here .  . sigh tongue

we all love beccomerich(. . .sometimes cheesy) but if i'm right, he's passionate yes, but he doesnt insult ppls parents and generations. (plus without him we never would have had the secrets of the mapo-republic revealed to us). . .i think the lameos on NL reside primarily in the romance section these days

platinumnk:

December 22, 2009 13:31, 1,335 views

By Damola Ogundimu

A mild drama ensued at Isawo, Ikorodu, Lagos when a 15-year old girl (name withheld), a pupil of Government College, Ikorodu, accused her boyfriend, Akeem Ayinde, 18, and a pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ, Imisi Oluwa Parish, Ikorodu, Prophet Ojo Ikide, of using her blood for ritual.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS, the victim said she had been dating Ayinde, a tailor, for about four months, but after a stern warning from her mother, she stopped the relationship.

But on 9 December, on her way to school, the victim narrated that Akeem abducted her and took her to his aunty’s (Mrs. Kafilat Samson) house at 28, Aiyedogbon Street, Isawo and slept with her, despite her plea that she was a virgin and not ready to have sex.

“After despoiling me, I was bleeding profusely and he brought out a white handkerchief to clean my private parts. Soon after, his mum came and took us to the Celestial Church where the Prophet told me to sit outside, while Ayinde and his mother were discussing with him inside the church. When the pastor came out, he asked if I was a virgin, and I said yes, and he told me to go home,” she said.

The mother of the victim, Mrs. Omolola Adeyemi, told P.M.NEWS that when she got home that day she did not notice anything, but the victim’s father discovered blood on the bed where she (victim) slept. But when he asked her what was wrong, she said she was menstruating. A week after, she was not able to eat anything and was still bleeding.

Mrs. Adeyemi said she and her husband took her to a pastor for prayers, and it was when she narrated her ordeal and encounter with  her boyfriend and his family members in the church, that they notified policemen at the Owutu Division, who promptly arrested the culprit, his mother, the aunt and the pastor.

Narrating his own side, the boyfriend, Akeem, 18 confessed that he made love to the girl and later took her to the church with his mum, because he loved her. He said he wanted to find out from the prophet if he can marry her. When asked why he took his mother along, he said it was his mother who knew the prophet.

In his own confession, Prophet Ikide told P.M.NEWS that when the suspect brought the girl to his church, he told him that the girl was two small, and that she was also in school uniform. He felt embarrassed and told them he could only pray for them and charged them N5,000 for prayers. He explained that he was surprised when the girl and her mum came with the police to arrest him.

The suspects are still being detained at the Owutu Police Station as at the time of filing this report, while the victim was taken to the Ikorodu General Hospital for medical examination.

The police said the suspects would be charged to court after investigation[/b]

http://thepmnews.com/2009/12/22/they-used-my-blood-for-ritual-girl-15-accuses-lover-pastor[/quote]so if she had not been too small what would have happened? did he issue them a receipt for the prayers? useless charlatan!
