And yes, some Nigerian men do reek. Some have a subtle smell, some you don't have to consciously sniff, but you'll be aware of the stench regardless. But, the smell is still there, nonetheless.

I haven't mentioned other races, or indeed Nigerian women, as this thread is about Nigerian men.

i think a large number of ppl on this thread might not hv a prob with the topic but with mama-gee herself, she's notorious for starting threads for stupid reasons and then abandoning same threads, which is what i guess she did with this one. . .

it's your decision in the end, but like ebonyeyes said the risk is real o. . .a friend of mine lost his elder sister last year(she was SS, in her late 30s) and he has another sister that is SS, i also lost a former classmate last year, (obviously she was SS), so while you're in love and all that, it would be wise to consider that u just might be setting yourself up for a lot of pain in future

and oh yeah, the classmate i lost she had just finished NYSC and started work. . .i cant imagine how her parents would have felt

are you sure your audio card is by sigmatel? try downloading unknown devices and running it to know if the driver is working and more importantly the proper manufacturer

for me workwise, the year has been eventful, started the scam called NYSC, made sure i was posted to niger state and then one of the hydroelectric business units expecting to be 'awed' and all that, seeing as i enjoyed my I.T. to an extent. It goes without saying i was shocked, the little work that was being done was done in hausa, which i'm not very conversant with and the office politicking was something else, i wont even begin to mention the corruption.

I began to lose interest in power at some point in time but eventually i found where i want to fit into the power sector, and funnily enough it ended up not being out on the field. Also realised there was a lot about PHCN and the nigerian power sector i didnt know, so even though i didnt get much field experience this year, i'm still on point

well its december and i've sha managed to overcome all that, i've even carved a niche out for myself, thankfully though it'll soon be over, i've largely escaped being tainted by the wretchedness that follows most things related to PHCN, i'm beginning to mature as an electrical engineer wrt power. I still get sad when i see how badly things are being run in the power sector and i've come to realise it'll take a couple of years (>>5) before the sector starts to make sense, but all in all i've had a good run.

Next year. . .hmmm, well i'll be done with NYSC, i know i'm not staying back at the dam(God forbid bad thing. . .lol) hopefully i'll start a postgraduate but before that i'll still rack up some more power sector experience(and contacts. . .obviously) but definitely not in PHCN though. i think our relationship has come to an end, i cant stay with a woman that treats me badly. . .lol

[1] Yaradua 'll return before the new year.
[2] Jonathan 'll be elevated to act in his stead.
[3] The worst option i.e. a return of the military.
