AAbuja: Did you graduate in 2016? How have you been coping?
After all these years all I can point at is a teaching job I Engaged in Fetching 15k a month. I quit tho after innumerable nonsense and pathetic experiences.
I feel like I am not doing enough. I feel like I am not trying enough. When I look at my dad and see his Grey hair, I feel like I have failed him because I am still eating his food bought with monthly pension. I am still sleeping and waking up under his roof at over 30years old.
As a child, I remembered the week when I was to enter Jss1, dad took me to a boutique and bought me a very fine white canvass. Now over the years I can't even afford to buy him a shoe. The last time I bought him anything was 2017 during my NYSC.
I feel I have failed not only him but a lot of people that hoped in me to become something reasonable. Laundry sef no work, always in the shop regretting my entire journey. Maybe I should have waited and studied another course or maybe I should have just chosen and engaged in a trade with with my 100 level tuition
I just regret everything. Under the hot sun, People will see me walking from one company to another establishment with my credentials. Most times i have to Beg for money just to move from one place to another online. The situation is that terrible I have asked myself what I am doing wrong but I apply to jobs everyday. Or maybe I am afraid of starting a family on 15k salary just like most of my colleagues back in university. We do meet and they tell me how I am delaying in starting a family, and then goes ahead to tell me how poor their teaching salaries are and how they have had to depend on friends and family. But me I have no one to fall on.
A times I feel really sad and end up praying for those unemployed graduates going through the same phase I am phase I am passing through. Even though you don't know me, I pray for you What do you do after closing hours in school? What have you been doing with your time? You can create a change now with a five year plan. Do you know that you can even teach foreigners online GMT+1 and get paid? Which state do you reside? |

seunmsg: What Joy do you derive in seeing the killings of innocent children and women? Where is your humanity? Where is your empathy? Such a shame! At infancy, death to those people feels painful. But these people often grow up with convictions that killing anyone who doesn't believe in their way, is the way to paradise. They use reverse psychology; saying that they are for peace. Tell me just one nation with Jihadist that has ever known peace! If any of your loved ones ever lost his/her life to these folks, you'll understand that an evil tree is best uprooted at infancy. Thus, whether children, women or men, once they attack first, they've got to be annihilated. Were the situation reversed, you'll hear them saying their God is the greatest. As though a true God would derive joy in you killing others because they refuse your belief system! |

WhiteRuler: First of all, apologies for any errors you may come across as I am not at the right frame of mind now.
Secondly, this post is 100% real about my life. So nothing is fake in it.
I'm a man, precisely 33 years old. I graduated from the University in 2019 at age 31. You may ask why I was still in school till that age. Well, I have realized that family/parental background matters a lot in a child's life no matter how people try to twist the fact. My family/parental background wasn't a good one educationally and financially as my parents were just petty traders and this has contributed negatively in achieving my goals and aspirations in life. With the above, you can deduce that there was no sources of funding for my tertiary education so I had to find a job after my secondary school while very ambitious about my furthering my education because I always believed in acquiring education up to university level. This led me to doing several odd jobs such as construction site labourer, security guard, cleaning, barbing, hawking, even to remove soak away and many others just to feed and see myself through school. Let me also add that @33 now, there are some jobs I can't do again because of some changes in my health system occasioned by some of the odd jobs I exposed myself to. For example, any strenuous job now is not for me as it makes me breath heavily like an asthmatic patient; any job that requires standing for long or bending down not for me due to broken waist (although these might be solvable issues but for now, I can't tell cos I have no money to visit health facility).
Moving on, while I may be thanking God for the academic success (even though the school is yet to issue me certificate) but I'm having strong feelings about myself. I feel like I have failed in life. I feel like I am a failure. My mates who got admission into university immediately after secondary school are gainfully employed today, living in comfortable apartment (built or rented), married with kids, have their own car and generally doing well. Even the ones who didn't further but venture into learning trade are doing well too. On the other hand, at 33, I have virtually nothing to show for it. Still living in one thatch house, poor, hungry and starving, no wife, no kid(s) (not even a serious girlfriend), no job, no car and nothing to show for my 33 years on earth. This is why I'm feeling like I have failed in life and it has made me to always be ashamed of myself and always trying to avoid meeting my mates who are doing well.
Also, looking at the country Nigeria, most employers recruit under 30. @33, what are my chances of landing a good job if I refuse to forge age and go for service but collect exemption letter? What are even the possibility of getting a job as I have no capital for business? Note: between 2019 and now, I've learnt several online money making skills but yet to make a kobo out of it all. Note also: ordinarily, I wouldn't seek employment (private or government) because I'm multi talented e.g in football, entertainment or business but these talents need money to develop which is what I'm lacking.
My questions: Please what do you all think? Do you think I have failed or I'm a failure in life? What is the future holding for me? As at today, the only thing I can boast of is "I am a graduate". Nothing more...like I said, poor, hungry and starving.
Help me with good pieces of advice please before my mind begins to consider evil as fastest way of making money. Thanks. You're missing one thing: Why are you still alive? We have people doing excellently from 18 or lesser, and they didn't live to see today. No mockery intended. If you can find out why you're still alive, you would discover that your greatest limitation has been you. I can't write too much. Imagine someone that defied the odd in his family and completed his university, here lamenting in live's University? My recommendations: Set a five year goal. Your goal can revolve around: Spiritual growth Mental unlearning and reconditioning Physical fitness and herbal rejuvenation Networking Market Value Tell yourself, you'll probably start a relationship in five years time (it's the least important in all you wrote up their) Utilize the compound effect. I wish I have the time to explain how to go about the five goals, and what they mean. But I recommend this book: The compound effect by Darren Howard. You can mention me. I'll send you my contact and delete it afterwards. Where you haven't made money online is the unbelievable part for me. Are you saying non of your talents is marketable online? |

Education › Re: Accommodating An Insolent Girl by Newbielearner(m): 10:25pm On Apr 27, 2021 |
daveyjay: Good day NLers, please I need your take on this. I'm a student in one of Nigeria's prominent public universities.
A girl decided to vie for admission in my school via the predigree programme but she had no accommodation. Because of the relationship between my parents and hers, I offered to take her in from January till now
I offered a roof over her head.
The first night she came, she slept on the floor and I wasn't okay with that, the following night, I told her she could have the bed, I vacated my bed and relegated myself to sleeping on the floor, we can't share same bed since she's neither my babe nor sister. And this sleeping routine has continued ever since then. The floor is my new bed
I gave her my spare key, uncensored access to my kitchen and everything within my legal occupancy. Cut long story short, last week Tuesday she woke up, had her bath, ate then stepped out briefly, when she returned we were outta water. Tap water of course. She called my attention to it to which I remained calm. Meanwhile I hadn't eaten neither had I bathed. At noon, she came to me that she was hungry but couldn't cook due to unavailability of water, I then asked her if I am to fetch her water??!.
She said she was gonn take food stuff to her friend's place (upstairs) to cook. I replied by asking how many of her friends had lacked water and brought food stuff to cook here??!
She got angry and took some money and left
That same Tuesday, I went to see Chelsea game, when I returned, I asked her if she cooked but she didn't dignify me with her attention talk more of a response. I thought it was rude but considered it as one of the many tantrums of ladies
The following morning, she woke up, acted like I don't exist, couldn't greet... had her bathe and left. Returned, unlocked the door, walked in like I wasn't there, ate, left to her friend's place.
On Thursday she repeated the routine, I called her back when she was going out, I asked her if she considered me as her father, brother or boyfriend that she'd wake up and start throwing attitudes... I made her understand that I am her benefactor. Hardly did I finish before she left. She returned and continued in same path and that has continued till this very moment...
Last night she didn't sleep at home, when she returned in the morning, she unlocked the door with her spare, walked in, ate, brushed, dressed and walked out without a single word e come be like say I be ghost.
What I did, I changed the locks, took some stuff, sealed my door with strict instructions to the caretaker then moved to a friends place outside my lodge and I've been there ever since.
She has returned and has been calling my line but I've been ignoring...
Now, is my action too harsh or still in line??! Please, don't ever allow her back. You can send her a token since you claim she's like a family. Then, she should get the rest from her parents to get an accommodation. |

Amazon Book Publishing/KDP (kindle publishing) as you may have it, is one of the best means for earning passive income. The flood keeps coming in at its own pace till December-January (when most people wouldn't wanna read).
I don't need to write so much on this when there's a video that can guide you.
You can go on youtube and make your own research. Or, you can contact me for a paid video I and some guys got for some dollars. I can give you at 1k.
If you watch the videos and you still couldn't get something out of KDP. Then, it's gotta be you who is the problem, or it's just not meant for you.

Investment › Start Earning With Affiliate Marketing With Or Without Investment by Newbielearner(op): 3:51pm On Apr 12, 2021 |
Just take a cue from here: https://www.nairaland.com/6498240/invest-cpa-marketingThey are both similar. However, affiliate marketing is more of CPS (conversion is based on sales). Why people fail in Affiliate Marketing No specific niche. They're just after making money, and they ignore the need for specialization. No blog/website/landing page. Google Blogger is free. If you can't afford to build a website or a landing page. I started with google blogger, made $25 using $3. No excuses. No social media pages. Most people just join Facebook groups and start posting links. These are short-sighted folks, and they eventually end up getting banned. Set up Fb, IG, etc for what you want to promote. No ads for campaigns. You gotta run ads (even though there are tricks to earn without paid ads). Run ads via Fb, IG, etc. To help you understand this deeply (if you will), I'll share a paid video (which I and some folks paid a lot for) for just 1k. You can contact me via my signature (whatsapp only) foor that. If you can't afford that, just go on youtube and do your research. |
Investment › Smart Investment In Dropshipping (nigeria) by Newbielearner(op): 5:39am On Apr 11, 2021 |
The assumption from most people would be: Oh, it would be Shopify or Woocommerce and Aliexpress. Nope!
You can dropship laptops, sneakers, watches, cars, phones, slides, etc. Just contact importers and start marketing for them.
How?
Contact laptop sellers in /Ikeja by going there or checking on Instagram.
When last did you use Instagram location search?
Contact sellers for sneakers, cars, etc the same way.
List their items on Jiji top ads (3k thereabout) or higher subscriptions.
Or you can run Facebook ads. E.g a laptop of 70k. Market it at 82k. When the prospect negotiates for a discount, give it at 80k last. 10k revenue. If this happens twice a week, that's 20k per week. A month would be 80k.
Ensure that you pick those that give a warranty and accept payment on delivery. Some of them are on Nairaland's computer section thereabout.
Thanks |

You must have seen or heard about this for quite some time. It takes just three steps:
Get a product online Get it into Nigeria Start selling it.
Quite simple. Isn't it? It's so simple that it has become flooded. Yet a lot of people fail in this business. I have failed at it and lost a lot before I got a hang of it (despite paying for numerous courses online).
How would you succeed in importation?
1. Choose a niche:
Stop trying to sell trending products. Just sell products in your niche with high demands. E.g Fashion niche would involve sneakers, tees, jeans, etc. But you gotta be wary of sizes and colors.
2. Have a dependable agent:
People like to boycott Chinese agents. I don't recommend such at all. Especially for a beginner. That little percentage your agent would charge you won't kill your business. I have used only one agent consistently for three years. She knows what I want and what I don't.
3. Work with the best logistic company:
I'm not referring to general delivery. I mean those sending the package from China once they receive it from your agent. Your agent would advise you on this. Mine advised me on how to get any item into Nigeria (not by air) within 14days irrespective of the quantity. This gives you the avenue to create a pre-order campaign; where you can even import with other people's money and earn twice more.
4. Good pricing System:
You can decide to add 20% above plus your overhead cost to your product price. My products are always twice how much I spent on everything till it gets to my house.
5. Avoid entrepreneurial misconceptions:
You don't have to quit your job for this to work. Have a plan to sell and deliver.
How would you sell? Via Facebook ads? Your WhatsApp? Jumia or Konga?
How would you deliver? Any good and affordable logistics can work. If you're using Jumia or Konga, you just gotta drop-off at their center closest to you, and they'll handle your nationwide delivery.
Where do you order from? Only 1688.com. Aliexpress, Alibaba, etc is a no for me...
You can google the top-selling products in Nigeria (by niche) and import. Or contact me for top 50-70 top-selling products for just 1k (via my signature for whatsapp).
Thanks.

CPA (cost per action) marketing is simply the use of a defined link, banners, contextual texts, and email swipes to drive traffics for the purpose of making sales, acquiring email addresses, subscriptions, etc.
The marketer is paid per click and per conversion.
Constants: Merchants: Whose product or service you're marketing. Platform: Where you register to get access to market the merchant's products/services. E.g Clickbank, Warrior Plus, CPA grip, etc. Conversion: The final result the merchant expects. CPL: Conversion is achieved when a lead is acquired (email or subscription). PPD: Conversion is achieved when there's a download. PPI: Conversion is achieved when there's an app installation. CPS: Conversion is achieved when there's a sale. E.g ShareASale, Admittad, etc. To thrive in this investment, you need to choose two things right: Niche: Your focus field. Examples are health, beauty, gaming, biz ops, utilities, loan, etc. Marketing Channels: How you achieve conversions. Examples are PPC campaigns, social media, email campaigns, native ads, solo emails, etc. To assist you in this field, I'll send some paid videos to you for free.
My guess is that I would be banned if I post the video links. So, you can reach me via my signature (WhatsApp only).
Note: I won't have the time to answer questions. The video does enough justice. Channel your questions here on the thread. I or someone else who comprehends the video can assist you.
Thanks. |
