WarriFirstBorn: There is this lady I was going out with. We were together for like 3 months. She always come to spend the weekend at my place. She would come Friday and sometimes leave on Sunday. She didn't know that I was studying her all along. For the period of time this girl was visiting me, I can bet she didn't know where I kept my broom in the house. I always make sure there is food at whenever she visits. I will serve food for the both of us and will still be the one to clear the table and take the plates to the kitchen. She will still go to the kitchen sink to wash her hands and leave the plates there unwashed. Even if I decide to leave the plates there to see if she would wash them, she wouldn't. I will still have to wash it the next day. I will still be the one to prepare what we will eat for breakfast. I was watching her, but she didn't know. One weekend also that I knew she would be coming, I purposely delayed cooking for that day. I made sure her coming coincided with my going to the market. In fact, I told her to meet me at the market, which she did. I was already done buying things when she came. We went home together. When we got home, I went straight to the kitchen and and started preparing the meal. It was Okro soup I prepared that day. All the while I was in the kitchen preparing the meal, aunty was at the sitting room lying down on the couch. One word, I didn't utter. Even while I brought the Okro to the dining table to grate, she saw me doing that and didn't even give a helping hand. Lest I forgot, before she came, I purposely made the bedroom untidy. I had to scatter some of my clothes on my bed and on the floor. I left it that way. She went to the bedroom later and saw how it was. She came to the kitchen and told me how I left my room untidy. The only response I gave her was if she had ever come to my house and met my room in that state before. Due to the fact that she spent some time there in the room before coming back to the sitting room, I thought she was busy tidying it up. In my mind, I thought at least, she has passed that test. Lo and behold :owhen I went to the bedroom to get something, I met the room exactly as it was when she came. She even had to spread her cloth that she meant to wear on Sunday to church on the clothes on the bed. I just laughed, shook my head and walked away. Back to the Okro I was grating at the sitting room ;I grated it without she giving a helping hand. I finished cooking the soup, made eba and took the food to the dining and told her dinner was ready. She came over, told me weldone and ate. Still, I was the one that cleared the table and washed the plates. I also moved over to the bedroom and cleared it and made the bed. We slept that night. The next day again, aunty didn't locate the broom to sweep the house. I just told her that there is somewhere that I would be going to and won't be coming back till Sunday evening. I gave her transport money back home. She went to the bathroom to have her bath, while she was applying cream on her body, I overheard her talking to someone on the phone and asking the person if he would still be coming to my town for the wedding ceremony. She told her where he would meet her so they both could attend the wedding together. I just went to her and told her that that should be the last day she would ever step her feet on my place. That I don't want to ever see her again. She was busy asking what she did wrong. I told her I overhead her conversation on the phone. She was just busy giving unnecessary explanation that since she didn't want to go home that early, she remembered one of her church members was attending a wedding ceremony in My town, so she decided to call him to attend with him. I just told her that I have made up my mind. She should leave and never return again.
This is a girl that was always asking me when will I come to see her parents even when we were just a month old in the relationship. Whenever she brought that issue up, I will just be laughing inside of me. In my mind, I will just be saying 'this one isn't ready yet for marriage at all'. That's how God safed me from her hands o.
So, I think once in a while, we guys should still allow our ladies to be spending the night so we really see who and what they are. Love is just not enough most times. Did you guys ffūck? Hope you used condom? |

Yeah, she is good at what she does and what's that? BLOGGING. She has been recognized both Nationally and internationally as a blogger and not as a journalist.
Journalism stems beyond Gossips and Celebrity gists she specialised at. Apart from bagging B. A in English, she had no educational backing to that effect, atleast till this moment.
We have hundred of Journalists across Nigerian Newsrooms doing excellently well as a journalist than she does. Perhaps, you think it is a joke that Nigerian Journalists keep bagging Awards and Recognition even outside Nigeria. Go to Premium Times, Punch, Sahara Reporters, ICIR, you will see fine young journalists doing great.
Infact, the Nigerian Media space is more competitive than it used to be.
Have you ever wonder the reason for drastic reduction in her site traffic in recent time?
With English, she can easily bag a Masters in Journalism, so certificate is not an issue here Being is journalist is being a journalist, not just a certificate carrier Journalists bite really hard Yes, there are various niches of journalism that anyone could specialize in. You already know her own branch Celebrity and gossip! Even newshouses have journalists who specialize in that area Whether you use a blog or a newspaper or magazine, so long as you do the work of a journalist, you're a journalist These are all media of journalism If you can't shake any table, you ARE NOT a journalist! She can get a Masters in journalism to impress you, which is just a one year and 8 month's task. She can even get a PhD. That doesn't make her anymore a journalist than she's now |

If it is inside his resume then he would have been exposed earlier before now.
Not really a Media law but conventionally, and that's based on what I've observed so far. I have seen journalists doing such in secrecy and their excuse was that the management frowns at it.
It is only in Punch that Journalist would go on political assignment like being a Media Aide and would never be allow back to their newsroom after the end of such assignment.
With the level of discipline and how their management operates make me think, he might be fingered for operating such.
Perhaps, the discipline and all left with their formal boss.
You should know that résumés are highly classified It's only his bosses that know what's up, which gave him an edge Who wouldn't love to have a sharp shooter on their team? They knew him, we're just the ones who didn't know about him being the owner The problem is that he might not even have been hiding. You don't just come out and say "I own this and that" That sounds like blowing your own trumpet |

Yoighaman: In my opinion, Instablog is currently the most successful blog in Nigeria, it has trounced LIB (and other blogs) and so disclosing the identity of the owner of instablog is a subtle ploy by Linda to fight it and reduce the patronage of the blog as she understands that the anonymity of the person behind the blog is what makes it really interesting. This is a crude, vicious and damaging attack served by Linda, so when they attack her too, people should learn to be objective and understand that it is a business game which is fair just like in love and war.
The owner of a blog doesn't necessarily have to be the handler but when the owner writes, you would know. Linda personally wrote that post. Anonymity doesn't do nothing to a brand We know Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, ICQ, Wiki, etc. We all know the owners That makes them 100% accountable for what they post Even Linda is 100% known |

Describe the house. I assume it's a duplex. I assume that this happened in Benin City. Does the main house have balcony or porches outside? Does the room where the bag was kept have balcony or porch outside? Is CCTV installed in the house? Was there light that night? Was the front door locked from inside with key or padlock since you were the one who locked it that night? Are all the windows and doors with iron protector/guard? If the doors (including the front door) can only be unlocked from inside, and there was no sign of forceful breakin at any entry point in the house, then only someone within that particular building that night could have done anything shady No matter what you do or how you feel, DO NOT pack out of the quarters voluntarily any soon because that'd be a red flag |

mapet: Then you put it in proper perspective. If an international transfer is flagged, yes they will put a hold on the money and it will not even hit your account in the first place. If money is already in your account, the bank requires legal (court, police, EFCC etc) directive to hold it. The bank cannot be held liable for a transaction that was not flagged and paid out. That responsibility is with the account owner. Do you know that a customer's bank is 100% liable if a penny is stolen from the customer's account? All banks watch one another's back, especially in Nigeria So that means that if there's any air of fraud around any financial transaction, the bank in whose custody the money is at that moment MUST withhold the funds and report to their anti money laundering unit for investigation. If there's any sign of fraud associated with the money (after investigation), EFCC is invited to take over, else they let the owner of the fund have their fund There's massive money laundering going on locally at every point in time. Kidnappers, armed robbers, fraudsters, etc, launder funds all the time |
Crime › Re: Amaka In Police Net After Man Transferred N5M Into Her Account by Newboss(m): 12:32pm On Nov 14, 2018 |
mapet: I don't know what country you're in and referring to in the reference above....but definitely not Nigeria. The bank has absolutely NO RIGHT to place a hold on monies deposited into customer account except on the instruction of Courts, Police, EFCC or NFU. The bank CANNOT ask you to present documents in order to cash monies in your account. They are only obliged to inform the EFCC if you're are about to make a transfer of an amount above the legal limit. They actually do have the right Nigerian financial system compiles with global anti money laundering laws Maybe in Russia or China where there's nothing like anti money laundering Once your money is stolen and it enters any one of those countries, just forget about the money because no one can help you So be careful |
