It's even easier for them to process direct transfer.

Wrong!

Nigeria is a mess but not being ruled by a dictator. Election was conducted less than six months ago. Nigerians still voted the same Buhari in. In fact, Sowore was no where to be found.

Can't we be rational in this country? Is it Buhari that is littering the street with plastics and all sorts of trash that should be disposed in a waste bin?

Can't we see that we're the cause of our own problems, not government?

If you put Sowore, that's when you'll know what a dictator behaves like. All the signs are written all over him. Dude literarily said he can't be judged by a judge. This guy is against Democratic principles. He only chooses the one that suits his agenda.

This is something every smart person should have spotted. We can't risk a military coup through this aimless nonsense.

Exhibit C!

Sowore go suffer for prison. Planning to overthrow a legitimate government
Exactly. His plans is outrightly wrong.

I mean, how can a western academia still lack sense at over 40?

There are smart ways to handle this.

Taking an case at a time and protesting for that case to be implemented is smarter than planning to overthrow a government. That's how things are done in civilised climes. Labour has proved that it works again and again. ASUU has.

Overthrow the government when an election was conducted less than 6 months ago? WTF.

GlassDoc:
ARREST OF OMOYELE SOWORE: THE REVOLUTION SHALL NOT BE STOPPED!!!

Comrades of #RevolutionNow

The National Action Committee of #RevolutionNow August 05 "Days of Rage" protest has confirmed that Omoyele Sowore, AAC National Chairman, and member of the Coalition for Revolution (CORE), has been arrested and taken away by the Department of State Security (DSS) to an unknown destination.

We are working to get more information concerning this development and to organise legal intervention to secure his immediate release. We shall provide information on further developments as it becomes available.

Sowore's arrest attests to the validity of our struggle to liberate Nigeria from the shackles of a ruling class that aims to keep NIgeria's working people under perpetual oppression. For sixty years they have kept Nigerians enslaved under their incompetent, corrupt, and irresponsible rule. Now, we the people have had enough and are ready to take back our country, to take back the political power and national wealth that rightly belong to us.

The arrest of Sowore is definite and clear evidence that they are afraid of #RevolutionNow.

This is why we must intensify our preparation. Get the word out to as many people as you can. Mobilise on your street, your campus, workplace, marketplace, bus stop, everywhere. The battle has begun. Let the mighty people of Nigeria stand for liberty and justice in this country.

They have arrested Sowore, but they cannot break our will for freedom from their oppression.

We shall not be intimidated; neither shall we be moved. We shall go ahead with our protest on August 5. We shall come out in our droves!

In unity and with one mighty voice, we shall tell the oppressor class:
"This is our country!"
"This is our land!"
"We reject you and your policies!"
"Pack your load and go!"

Victory is certain, because a people united can never be defeated. So let us come out in our Days of Rage, starting August 5.

#RevolutionNow! #ThrowDemOut!!

National Action Committee
#Days of Rage
From what you stated here, the goal of this revolution is to destabilise government that was duely elected, then get your person in to replace the "oppressors".

DSS did the right thing. This government is less than a year for crying out loud. Let's do the right thing, not using corruption to fight corruption.

Let's be smart about getting the change we want.

Get yourself informed by researching on the type of revolution he intends to carry out. Don't just sit and type ignorantly
He should state his agenda explicitly, without any ambiguity. Nigerians should open their eyes and become more objective. Ain't we tired of being sheeples? Jumping from one foolish move to the other because we never think.

We're all upset about the state of the nation. Then somebody comes from somewhere shouting revolution. Some people follow him shouting revolution. Baba, what is your plan about the so called revolution? Abi your plan is spiritual? Lol. Let's be reasonable. Is the plan to get rid of Buhari? Protests will not add one MW to the grid. Protest will not reduce unemployment. Protest will not create industries. Protest will not change the corrupt average Nigerian who will even be part of the "revolution". Lol

How long are we going to keep jumping at any sound of "change"? Buhari used this same change thing to get in that year. Everyone who could think objectively could see that Buhari had nothing to offer but loud criticism.

Now, people are shouting revolution but never really ask "what's the plan?"

Provide electricity, jobs, bla bla bla. That is not a plan! That's the noise we've heard for ages.

Prayer, shouting, fasting, breaking glasses, carrying placards, etc, CAN NEVER provide electricity or jobs.

What is the plan? You want to reboot the system, abi? What's the plan?

Yes, buhari is a far cry from what we need, unfortunately he can't resign.

The revolution is not only against buhari but also against past and present agents of darkness governing this country.
There's nothing concrete about what you just typed.

What riots? We are talking of peaceful standouts till Buhari receives sense
Receives sense on what exactly?

Most of the problems in this country has nothing to do with the president but our governors, lawmakers and the local government chairmen. Each state gets massive billions monthly. They blow it while we keep looking outside at the president.

You guys have not defined the revolution you're talking about. If you want the president out, then be clear about that, not using a guise, "revolution".

What exactly do you want? Revolution is a broad concept that is meaningless if not concretely defined

What concrete things do you want?

Let's be more concrete. Buhari also came with revolution, which means change. Lol

Why is it that it's only foreign brands that thrive in Nigeria?
Because Nigerians have enough sense to know that at least 95% of anything Nigerian is trash or fraudulent.

We need to tell ourselves this truth. That will be the beginning of our journey into creating Nigerian systems that have integrity.

Exactly!

It's a way of ensuring that only big dogs book them. Yes, only those who "pluck money from trees" are meant to book him. Even banks can barely afford him. LMAO.

This same technique is used by A-list artists in the west. Try booking Drake in US alone. Lol. You have no clue how much influence A-list artists weld. LMAO.

You can't have them at your beck and call. Their agents do everything possible to ensure that this is achieved by setting prices to points only serious money people and firms can afford.

You really have no clue how much influence Wizkid will generate in Nigeria by his presence alone. Translate that to millions of Naira, you'll know why 50m will leave you on a very long queue. Hehehe.

Nigeria music market is nonsense. How many youtube views does wizkid gets? His highest youtube views is probably what taylor swift gets in one day not to talk of streams
Not YouTube. You're missing the whole talk.

This thread is about how much it costs to book A-list Nigerian artists to perform in Nigeria. They can take less to perform internationally because of the exposure they stand to gain. But it costs much more to book them to perform in Nigeria.

That's the dynamics of Nigerian music industry. It's the direct opposite of Western music industry.

Even a B-list artist from the west will charge an arm and a leg to perform in Nigeria but won't do that in the west because the demand for them in the west is lower than the international demand for them.

The value of Wizkid in Africa is way higher than his value in the west. This has nothing to do with dollar as OP tried to put it. We build mansions in Nigeria in Naira, not dollars.

Oga, Wizkid is not in Taylor Swift's league in Nigeria because he doesn't earn as much. If Taylor Swift and Wizkid were to perform on the same state with Wizkid in Nigeria who do you think will earn more?
I'm talking about Nigerian music market, not international music market. Taylor Swift is from the Western market. That alone gives her leverage in the international music market.

But market pass market you know.
Tejuosho market is not in the league of Mile12. or Idi-oro
Exactly!

In every country, their music industry have their own Beyonce, JayZ, Drake, and other A-list artists.

Every country has its own industries. The industries have their own segments. The guys at the topmost segment in each industry are seen as being at the same position as the guys at the topmost segment in other countries.

But the monetary value attached to them is determined by the monetary value system of that country. Not Dollars.

Demand and supply for a commodity within a market determine the value that will be placed on that commodity, hence the price.

You'll understand this if you know anything about economics.
