Pple comment to unwind their frustrations most times. Make some other nigerians have something to laugh about

I am not saying na me get sense pass but some people just take everything has play, there are times we need to think as Nigerians and discuss issues of national importance for the betterment of our nation!

if we keep playing, we play with our children's future. God forbid

so let us be reasonable and why do you think he will ban alcohol? is that possible?

Just tell me one reason you think he will ban alcohol?
Politics / Re: I’ll Ban Importation Of Rice, Tomato If Elected –Buhari by Newkidoo(m): 8:35am On Feb 03, 2015
rhymz:
You agree with him on banning rice because like him, you are oblivious of the facts on ground. You just sit in your arm chair comment carelessly. How much is a bag of rice now, even with significant increase in our local production and the fact that government had to increase the tarrif on imported rice. Compare the price to when it was 100 percent importation and government was collecting moderate tariff. That should tell you something if you have any deductive ability to reason. There is a reason why local producers can't meet up ith local production or even compete with imported brands:
1. Countries like Brazil, India, Malaysia, China not to talk of the West greatly subsidize Agriculture. That way, they can take their product to many African countries and out compete even with high tariffs. Local production will be discouraged and as farmers and agricultural practitioners wont be able to compete with superior brands that have heavily been subsidized already.

2. If Nigeria wants to develop the Agric sector, it has to be the way the present government is handling it, use technology, encourage young graduates, qualified practitioners to invest in it, commercialize agriculture and most importantly, choose aspect of the sector that can be greatly subsidized and sustained. The reality is that no matter what Nigeria does, we can not compete with foreign brands in a free and fair market at least for now. It has to be developed and given systematic structuring as the current minister is doing. This is not a case of ban this and that when you do not have the capacity to produce it. But many of you are superficial and very petty, you wont understand a thing about effective policy as long as you are blinded by irresponsible politicking and propaganda.

Try to be reasonable for once!
I said i support him on banning the importation of this goods but the local farmers must be encouraged first and how can this be achieved.
You are so biased and irrational!
who told you local farmers can't compete with imported brands. stop all this your nonsense and be reasonable for once..
nigeria has one of the best citizens ever and with proper motivation and encouragement, we can be the best!
the technology you talk about, if local farmers are well funded with improved technology provided to them, you will see the difference in two to three years. don't just sit in your house and think Nigerians can't compete with other developed nations. it requires great thinking and time. if we keep importing all these all our life, with time local foods will become extinct. With your mindset, am sure we won't be able achieve anything ourselves. must we depend on other nations or must we follow the footsteps of other nations.. let us think and achieve things ourselves. Nigeria has the potential of being the best out of all nations. we just need the right set of leaders at the helm of affairs..
Politics / Re: I’ll Ban Importation Of Rice, Tomato If Elected –Buhari by Newkidoo(m): 7:23am On Feb 03, 2015
Most people that has commented on this thread are just not matured! What has origin got to do with wat he said instead of you to read it and make reasonable contributions, you are acting silly!

I agree with him on banning rice and tomatoes! But before doing that he should make sure the local farmers are fully supported and funded.. I just believe in this man.
Most nigerians has no discipline, that is how corruption starts. If corruption could be curb to the minimal, most of these things he mentioned could be achieved!

One Nigeria, great nation, great people!

I hate it when intellectuals keep quiet for something to go wrong before they speak up. I respect Soludo and Utomi alot but it is grossly unfair of them to wait by the corner and watch Iweala confront the politicians alone. I remember my Eco101 tells me that the best economic policies are still subject to political expediency. Why did they not join the fight against our political monsters who wanted every penny shared?

Our politicians are our greatest problem. The national assembly wouldn't want their jumbo pay sliced but will expect the finance minister to do wonders. All what most of them know is there is always money from oil and I keep wondering why none of these political parties is interested in telling us how they will reduce the current bogus overhead expenses of the government.
my man that is why we need a leader that is not weak! Someone that will take a decision without being scared!

pupsyd:
...ODENSON! are they still using broom in developed countries like Germany? USA? Switzerland? and so on?.....MUMU!
can you see your life! There is a yoruba adage that says what will destroy a man is in the man.. My guy, do not let your mouth destroy you..

To the topic, though broom is not used in most advanced countries but what broom signifies is cleaning or cleanliness.. In Nigeria, it is not everyone that can afford a vacuum cleaner but everyone can afford to buy a broom. So this means apc as a party considers the masses! And making broom the party's logo is one of the best idea from a creative group of intellectual individuals.. And i really applaud such team..

Umbrella is also a good symbol, it signifies protection from an agent of disturbance but if we are to look at it, pdp has not protect its citizens and has forgotten them in times of need! They assume there is no rain, hence there is no need for the umbrella which is a misconception from their part.. Therefore, we are thankful for what you(pdp) have being able to achieve for the last 16years.. Now, we really desire change and change must come!

you can lie ma!
Be sincere for once, which looks more real: apc rally photos or pdp rally photos!
Apc rally photos are real and show the common man and woman with their normal daily wears not like those of the pdp where they all put on same attire and hire dancers like calabar festival..

Pls sincere viewers which is more real?

Like for Apc rally photos
share for Pdp rally photos..

I know pdp followers will click share cos of sentiments but i said sincere viewers so if you are pdp or apc sentimental follower don't click!

Honestly i don't like jonathan at all and i know we Nigerians are tired of him but to me Buhari is not a better choice at all and my reason is more of a little personal insight but believe me it's not based on religion.
''personal insight''.. does that mean you have researched on Buhari to know he is not a better option?
secondly, since you admit jonathan is a failure then why will you still vote for him?
we have over 12 candidates vying for the post of president, if you say buhari is no better option, why not choose a better option out of the 12 candidates vying for the post?
