I don't know how you acted, but the last time I took a loan and defaulted, nobody called my contacts. I had part of loan with me but didn't know how to pay since the app accepts full payment only.

So, I was just waiting for their call. The agent finally chatted me on WhatsApp and said she's going to call my contacts if I fail to make payment before 4pm that very day, and I told her It will not be possible that i will pay up my loan next week.
She later called me and said I have 24hrs to make full or partial payment. The following day, I paid in #2k sent the receipt to her and she said the #2k was too small. I countered and said I didn't want her to call my contacts and that I will be making another payment the following day. She said OK.

In the end I paid off the loan after 4 payments, and the app still dey beg me to come collect loan again lol.
This loan something no be am I swear

Those who manage these loan companies are reasonable people and they will make allowances if you are sincere in your approach.

SirDelight and the rest of the deadbeat borrowers will borrow and refuse to pay then when the company decides to use extreme measures to recover it's money they will start complaining that the loan company is wicked

ATTENTION!MAKING THE FAMILY LIVES OF THE **** MISERABLE IS A THIEF FROM THEIR FAMILY WITH THE NAME ***** (0806134****) WHO STOLE MONEY FROM A COMPANY AND IS REFUSING TO PAY. THE PUBLIC IS WARNED OF THIS FAMILY AS THEY ARE KNOWN TO BE THIEVES. THEY WILL BE CAUGHT BY SECURITIES

The SokoLoan agent called me on phone and I told her to be patient as I'm also running around to pay off the debt. I even said I would pay up everything with default charges. She hung up & started sending different threatening messages. The message above (bolded) was sent to all my contacts. I had to turn off my phone because the calls were too much. How would they correct this defamation after paying them?

I know they have many agents on this forum who would start defending them, but just know that "only God knows tomorrow". It's my turn today,,,, it could be yours tomorrow.

I am not a Sokoloan agent but I have a lot of admiration and respect for Sokoloan.

The way they handle their business is the best way to do it in a country like Nigeria where people borrow and refuse to pay back.

You have just come here to write your half truths while trying to make yourself look innocent but from experience I can bet my last penny that you willfully refused to repay the loan and this is what forced them to adopt a hard stance with you!

That's too bad. But it appears they have improved. I once owed them but they never touched my bank account. The only problems are their short payment period and crazy interests.
One should stay away from all loan apps though. They are there to exploit Nigerians.

Loan apps are there to provide a service.

The loans they provide are unsecured that is why they are priced high because an average Nigerian will borrow then refuse to pay back the loan when it becomes due

stop saying rubbish here...don't you read in btw lines? he said he took a loan n has repaid the loan, yet hallocredit still went ahead n debit more money from his card....it's a normal thing for them to do as they don't care..so learn to understand things first!

Do you actually believe that crap?

He is lying because there is no representative of the loan app here to defend them.

Nigerians generally do not like to repay loans, when it's time to repay you see them coming up with all sorts of lies and stories to avoid paying the loan

The main issue is that you have accepted the fact that you're a thief.

It's because of dishonest people like you that Nigeria is still in the dumps

You have no moral grounds for criticising politicians when they steal our collective wealth as a nation!

You would have alerted ur guarantors to expect some funny messages from a funny company. Then identify all their lines they used in calling you and block them all, afterwards, change ur atm so they won't have to deduct ur money as soon as money hit d account u provided. In that case, you'd have won.

You are a fraud inclined person.

It's people like you that make it difficult for honest people in Nigeria to get loans on liberal terms angry

brother I feel your pain. This exactly what they did to my colleague at work. It was just 10k and this criminal when ahead to message all his contact including our boss. The damage was too much to bear, he almost lost his job and trust. But on a serious note I have been thinking from that day that something has to be done, maybe forward this cruel incident to the appropriate authorities.

You people like telling one-sided stories.

Deep in his heart your colleague actually had no real intention of repaying the loan.

So you want them to ignore all the people owing 10K...do you have any idea how much that will be and the loss it will cause them?

One sided view point.
Imagine taking a loan from Soko up to 5 times without defaulting.
The 6th time you default by one day maybe due to delay in salary, and that very day someone calls you up and starts calling you names, stupid man, shameless man. Not minding your previous clean records... Now tell me how would u feel?
Other loan apps don't behave that way.

Other loan apps don't behave this way, guess what, some of them are folding up due to consistent default by borrowers

Nigerians are terrible people as far as loans are concerned

Soko Loans' strategy is effective and I applaud them!

Let's be clear. The only reason y'all hate loan apps is because you took a loan you know you can't/won't pay back.

After agreeing to the terms and conditions of the loan, you all come back crying online to castigate the same loan app that choose to help you in your desperate hour.

Imagine condemning sokoloan for debiting your account without notice grin Are you people ma.d? Did you read the terms and conditions of the loan during your application?

You used your hand to submit your contact, yet come back crying and asking why sokoloan called your contacts. Some of you are just m.ad.

Btw, 99% of Nigerians are not credit worthy. You all are the same people that fail to pay back interest-free loans given to you by friends, neighbors and relatives.

Don't mind them, very wicked things.

They will borrow money then when it's time to pay back they will start coming up with all kinds of silly excuses
