You need your JD to determine that. Job titles or office don't help. List out your JD and then look through the NOC list to find out which NOC matches your duties to at least 70%. Come up with likely ones, then post the JD and suggestions here and others can help narrow it down to one for you.

It should, but like I earlier stated, you need to check the phone's compatibility with various phone networks in Canada to be sure.

If you are having the issue of location change and if you haven't already tried it, try going to Settings in your Google playstore and change your payment details from Nigeria to that of Canada. It will require you to enter Credit Card details. No charges will be taken. I did this and now I can access all Canadian app with my Samsung phone.
lolarde:

Not too sure. With my samsung s8+ it works well on freedom mobile. But till date my location has not changed to canada. So i have a lot of restrictions on canadian apps from playstore. For instance i cant use uber, other bus apps. It will keep saying not available for d app. Meaning its still recognising 9ja as my fone location. Took it to freedom mobile and they cldnt help. Asides that its working fine. I can call and text n use google map grin grin grin

Buy Samsung please. It actually depends sha. I couldn't use my Nokia 6 with Freedom Mobile. It worked with Public mobile though. I had to buy a new phone here. But the thing is to check the phone's compatibility with various networks using the phone's IMEI number. You will know for sure that way.
Folafikemi:
Kindly help me make this decision good people.

I want to know what kind of phone I can buy from Nigeria that can support Canada network.

Am thinking of Samsung or Nokia. Pls help

Please wait if you can. Although it expires after 6 months or so. It usually doesn't take long to get. If you are sure you will use it immediately you land, you can go ahead.
Barryston:
Please I'm trying to get my FRSC driving records from Abuja and I have a quick question...is there any validity on the letter if its dated 22nd Feb,2019? Because I will be landing in April...I want to know whether I should wait till some days prior to my landing in Canada.

Kindly help answer this..thanks!

There is no implication. You can't be penalized for having little or no online presence. Just ensure that you don't have any contradictory or implicating info on the ones you have.

Thanks for being a good sister from another mother to us. Really appreciate your help and assistance to us all. Please I need clarification on something that has been disturbing my mind. I deleted my LinkedIn account, anytime I enter my full name on google search after deleting the account, my name pops up among LinkedIn registered member. Am not the social media type. The only social media am active is Facebook and I login sometimes once in two weeks just to view updates. When I click it, the only information I see is my the school I graduated from, nothing more and nothing less. My question, what’s the implication of this? Thank you in anticipation.

With your Nigerian driver's license, you can drive for 60 days in Ontario. During that time, you will have to apply for your Ontario DL if you want to continue to drive after 60 days. Depending on how many years experience of driving you have and if you are able to pass their own tests, you may be eligible to skip some stages in their own issuance process and apply directly for a G license. If you have at least 2 years of driving experience, you are eligible to take the G1 knowledge test and straight to G if you pass the road test. You should come to Canada with a letter from FRSC authenticating your driving records.
johnnybravo1990:

Please enlighten us. Do you need the driver's licence there? Is the use of Nigerian Licence valid over there?

It depends sha. I had one site where my wedding ceremony was hosted, you know all these Bella Naija type of thing? They checked it also, down to my UK uni students list hosted online. I saw it listed on my notes. Try to enter your name on Google, both married and maiden names and see where information about you pops up. I am active on Twitter, but you can't tie my other SM accounts to Twitter cos they have different email addresses and usernames. So basically, anywhere you see your names pop up on the internet is probably where they can find info about you.
roblance:

Alright. Is there any other site listed apart from Facebook and linkedin? those are the only two I use and naiaraland..lol
