I am just surprised. That's all. The two banks I approached told me No, GTbank inclusive. I'll try another bank.
eclectic139:

Yep. (now u are making me doubt my own experience lol!...but I'm pretty sure I had a one way ticket) I made sure I went in to ask a few months before I had to leave. I had an access Bank account as well. Submitted passport, and visa etc. GTB refused, but Access Bank gave me.

If you can come to Marina, I can arrange for my BDC guy to help you.
jelmusboy:
US and Canadian dollars are scarce here at Ikeja. Just few notes available with bad rates while Pounds sterling is in excess. In fact, Sular BDC is not buying GBP at all.

I have GBP, what can I do and am flying this weekend and if I buy the CAD like that, it will drop below POF.

They gave you PTA on a one-way ticket?
eclectic139:

I think 4/5k can't remember what the limit was. But I know they gave me the limit allowed each person.

I heard it's 16,610 per passport now. N460 is SMS fee within that amount which you can decide to pay or not. It is not beneficial in any way. Courier fee is optional too. If you are picking it yourself, no need to pay that. Add the VFS consent letter. It's one of the requirements. Very easy to fill.
TEECANN 08094264181=73178103:
@DBJay,

Pls when you get to VFS tomorrow, kindly come back here to let me know what's the current transmission fee (I got the info that the price has changed and I don't understand the array of price list on their website)

2. Please also find out whether we can exempt Courier fee if we want to come and pick up the passports personally.

3. Lastly, help me ask whether it's compulsory to add a filled "VAC consent form" so as to be able to collect my family's passports back upon return from Accra.

@All

Please if you have the latest info on the above points, kindly help out. My head is so full presently grin

Just to be clear:

I ve prepared the following docs- VFS checklist

1. Printed PPR lettter (1 copy)

2. Original International Passport booklets (all of us)

3. Photocopy of passport biodata page (2 copies per each person)

4. Passport photographs in stated requirements (2 copies per each person)

5. Hand filled Height and Eye colour Chart (1 copy attached to PPR letter)

6. Cover letter stating amongst other things that "family configuration has not changed"

Are we good to go my good people in the know? grin

It will end in praise IJN!

Ngezee29:
Good morning house. Please i need advise on application for express entry.

I am married no kids, age 30, i have a masters degree and 6 years working experience. when i put in my info on CRS calculator my score is 473 without my husband accompanying me, and 453 if he does without English proficiency exams but includes his BSc. My questions are

1. Can i apply alone and later include my husband before living Nigeria? No think am. You have a beautiful chance of getting ITA with your husband. Aren't you married already? You said your score without IELTS is 453. Wetin you dey find again?
2. If i have to include him, is it a must he writes language test? NO. Except you need the extra points from him, which isn't the case with the scores you said you got.
3. For reference letter, do they call the number on the company's letter head? Sometimes. Not in all cases.
4. When i resign from my current work my gratuity and pension covers the funds required. how do i go about POF? You are a bigz geh. Nothing do you. Ensure that you have access to the funds and you can prove that with the reference letters you will submit.

Finally, READ PAGE 1. Every info you need is there.

NB: Please kindly advise on best options, regardless of my questions above.

Thanks

That green building abi?
Estac:

Yes, they have for kids. I didn't get the shoes sellers number, but if u call Amarachi Winter (I shared his contact earlier) he can take you to the shoe sellers. One of them is 2 shops away from Amarachi and the other is not too far from him either. They're all in a block of shops parallel to the railway tracks but upstairs.

Your head is very correct.

You messaged Ralph after just two months? Was there something peculiar about your application? Cos I know you only message Ralph maybe after 6months or there’s something wrong with your application. Please let’s not abuse that privilege because it might get to a time when he’ll stop helping people.
There are other ways of getting info on your app: order gcms notes, send a mail to Ottawa, call them or at most raise cse.
Abeg let’s help ourselves.

Congratulations in advance. You have nothing to worry about. You are carrying a Canadian baby. Travel and go and birth your baby. The only issue would have been if you had already landed and then you come back to Nigeria to give birth. You are good to go.

Age will be locked in once ITA is received. No need to rush to submit.
ArcUgo:
Oh dear! I just hope you have gathered all your documents and are ready to submit before Sunday and get your AOR. If not, your application will be left at the mercy of the VO.
It will surely end in Praise las Las. God be with you.

Submit only your current passport and stamps plus entry/exit stamps if applicable. No one will penalize you for not submitting expired passports. It is not a requirement. You will only get penalised if you omit the current passport. They will conduct a background check on you whether or not you submit your expired passports. Last last, you get an ADR which I have never seen happen in any case.
I had a valid visa on my expired passport with plenty of travel history at the time of submission, I still didn't upload it. Simpler is always better. Before your file will land on the desk of one cranky officer and he will see only the expired passport like in the case of one of our sisters here.
If you still decide to upload all, endeavour to make the new one the first page.
Stop overthinking this matter.

SMH. I'd be surprised if anyone answers you again at this point. If you refuse to take people's advise, why ask in the first place.
survivor1986:

No offense but I doubt it. How can they give both of us PPR even without her writing IELTS? Adding her without her IELTS drops our points below 440 ordinarily. So I strongly doubt if IRCC will allow us to bypass the need for Spouse’s IELTS by simply marrying her after AOR.
