I'm spending the Eid at momsie's place in Lekki, and one of her muslim neighbours just dropped in and dropped us some Sallah meat.

Hello Mukina and everyone else, I'd like to moderate this section. I'm an Entertainment Manager, Promoter, and Social Media Marketer resident in Lagos, and I've managed a couple of websites and moderated Facebook fanpages including those of Star Nigeria, and Legend Extra Stout. In fact, I first started moderating Yahoo Group pages alongside none other than Seun himself. Yes Seun Osewa. We managed The UNIBEN Group together. I've been on Nairaland for 7 years now. Well, basically since it was created. As a Social Media Marketer (@Bar_Baric), I'm online almost all day. I believe I can make this section what it needs to be. I understand all the rules, but then again, I know when not to employ unnecessary harshness.

The man was not in a Private Jet. He was in a private plane. It is not every aeroplane that is a jet, and besides, he bought it as Nigerian Used. That is not saying absolving the man from corruption, or failing to fix the roads, but please, it was not a jet.

Lagos State Government has released data from the records of the "Planning and Research Department of LASTMA" showing a total of 107 deaths from Okada related accidents all over Lagos state in the past 2 years. This was how Fashola painted Doctors black to skim off their salaries earlier. This was how Fashola demonised Makoko residents to strip them of their land. This same technique is what he wants to apply in ridding thousands of entrepreneurial Okada riders of their livelihood. IN 1 DAY, A SINGLE PLANE CRASHED AND KILLED 190 PEOPLE, INCLUDING ITS 153 PASSENGERS. WHY DIDN'T FASHOLA BAN PLANES IN NIGERIA?! The governor has obviously decided to bring out the Gaddafi in him. How can a man, a lawyer, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria at that, be running a state as if it were an inheritance from his father? Is the Lagos state governor now self-employed that he will wake up and unleash whatever nightmare he had on the citizenry? Where is it stated in the Lagos Traffic Law that offenders' vehicles will be crushed? 3,000 Motorcycles vandalized by the state government. Where has such been heard of? If people commit fine-able offences, it is okay to confiscate their property till they can pay the fine. If they cannot pay the fine, the government can auction the confiscated property. But how do you justify the State consciously vaporizing N240,000,000 worth of legal investment by the poor masses?! HOW?! This same man was doling out Okada helmets to riders during his election campaign period. Was it his plan that they used the helmets to trek safely? Governor Fashola had better fall back in line before he incurs the wrath of the people. HE IS OUR PUBLIC SERVANT! HE SHOULD ACT IT!

This week is "Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2012", and thank Allah for the public holiday, you've got no other reason to miss Nigeria's foremost fashion event which brings together the media, the fashion industry, and fashionistas to awe at the current collections of designers in the fashion capital of Africa. The array of designers this year includes Alter Ego, Bridget Awosika, Ituen Basi, Jewel by Lisa, Lanre Da Silva, Mai Atafo, Obsidian, Re Bahia, Republic of Foreigner, and countless others (I literally was unable to count them all). The Lagos Fashion and Design Week kicks off with a press conference on Wednesday, October 24th at the Porsche Center, Victoria Island, Lagos. Lagos Fashion and Design Week (LFDW) 2012 is scheduled to take place from October 24th to October 27th 2012 at the Convention Centre, Le Meridien, Eko Hotel and Suites.

This is the first sensible thing GEJ's administration has done. The Nigerian government would have been utterly humiliated. |
