Politics › Re: Boko Haram, MEND And Igbo Tribalists On NL Are CIA Agents Doing Covert Ops. by nex(m): 7:49pm On Mar 31, 2012
Well, you can't just come out and be blurting this kind of information out to the masses. That is why they call them the masses. Obviously, al the insecurity issues we're having in the country today are spnsored from abroad.

When MEND started their madness, didn't we say that they were sponored by Gaddafi? But no one listened, but at least Asari Dokubo has admitted that he got training and cash from the Libyan leader before he came to start his NDPVF. Even when The first Abuja bombing happened, didn't Gaddafi rear his ugly head to say Nigeria should split up?

The CIA has notified the government of the USA that Crude Oil deposites are actually far less than initially thought. With the release of that document came that fraudulent so-called WIKILEAKS whic was meant to throw all the major oil-exporting countries into turmoil, however, in Nigeria, it didn't work.

When the Libyan fracas started was a British diplomat not caught with a helicopter filled with weapons and also the company british spies?

Please, I won't be answering any silly questions, nor will I be replying insults. Goodnight.

Politics › A Day To Punish The Nigerian Woman by nex(op): 10:02pm On Mar 08, 2012
As societies all over the world recognize and celebrate International Women's Day, Alade Market stands out as one ground where women have taken up their struggle and conquered local beliefs and customs to rise exponentially.

The market is dominated by women who outdo their male counterparts in various endeavours. The decades have seen several businessmen come to try, only ending up relinquishing their shops and offices to the thrifty women.

The Alade woman is the head of her home; the Alade woman is a symbol achievement; an icon to the girl child. On this anniversary of the International Women's Day, the Alade woman has been singled out for crucifixion, for, as misfortune would have it, Alade Market is located in Lagos, Nigeria, a country where hardwork and genius is generally suppressed by the government, and women emancipation is particularly capitulated with alacrity.

Shade Tinubu of the Lagos State Market Development Board had chosen this day to make a show of power. She'd hoped to put up a charade and 'do shakara', showing off her white gold jewellery, her French lace, and Louboutin high heel shoes at the market, alas, there was no welcoming committee in whose noses to douse her L'Air Du Temps. There were not even market women from whom to draw fake smiles and waves.

Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the politically installed daughter of the ex-governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu, visibly upset, ordered the officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) force to shut down Alade Market, ensuring that no one earned their daily bread for the whole day.

Hon. Shade may not know how much she had stricken off the Lagos State GDP by that singular action, nor how many $1/day Nigerians were relying on these women for their daily bread, but for all she cared, she had driven home her point: "when political blue blood comes visiting impromptu, there must be a welcoming committee of market women executives clad in 'aso-ebi', singing, dancing, waving and smiling, at someone who's work was sheer corruption and oppression".

On a day like this, the bane of women emancipation has to be pointed out as a display of power, show of affluence, and demand for unearned loyalty by none other than women themselves.

With a preference for the male child, prevalent female genital mutilation, early marriage of girls, child rape, high maternal mortality, sexual harassment and abuse of women on the rise in Nigeria, one would think the International Day for Women would be a day of respite; a day of rest and reprieve for the Nigerian woman. Nay, for Honourable Shade Tinubu, it is a day to put the exemplary Nigerian woman of common birth in her rightful place!

On interviewing the KAI officials posted to ensure the gates of the market remained sealed, Samuel Odunlami (who spoke in yoruba) said women were their own undoing, and advised the Alade women to go appease the Head of the Lagos State Market Development Board in order that their market be re-opened for business.

By 2pm, those who tried to no avail, had started to head back home to their families. A day spent with no income, yet expenditure. Their own version of the International Day for Women as custom designed for them by Honourable Folashade Tinubu-Ojo.

Politics › Re: Did The American Govt Conspire With Abdulmutallab? by nex(m): 3:03am On Feb 17, 2012
I said this two years ago, nobody listened to me, some corporations, and some generals in the US Army used this to sell thousands of body scanners worldwide, which have even bee shown to be defective in detecting the kind of bomb Mutallab carried. Well, they made promises to him, let's see if they fulfill them.

If you remember, right after the attempted bombing on Christmas day, Farouk was given a rush 'backyard' trial on Boxing Day which if it had not been massively decried, would have seen him bag 7 years and a fine of $250,000.
Politics › Re: PAY YOUR TRIBUTE TO SERGENT SUNDAY BADUNG by nex(m): 2:57am On Feb 17, 2012
Sergeant Bad Dung was as incompetent as these Policemen come. I'm not glad he died, but what he did was very foolish and careless, and would have even claimed more lives. Paying tribute to him will only encourage more policemen who have no clue what they are doing to go tampering with bombs till they kill us all!
Business › Re: Foreign Loan: Gej Seeks N1.3trn From Islamic Development Bank by nex(m): 7:29am On Feb 16, 2012
Nigerians, I'm very sorry for you people O! GEJ is about to increase the country's external debt by 141% simply for 'completion' of pipeline projects and there are some morons justifying this.

If he needs $8 billion for pipelines projects in the final stages of completion, then how much was spent on the pipelines projects entirely? $80 trillion??! How can any President justify spending 30% of the country's annual budget on pipelines?! Na gold dem use do the pipes?! Na Russia e wan connect the pipes to?!

This is the same reason why the Greeks are going insane all over the place, and here we are, with some even lauding this broaddaylight theft. The President didn't even specify which pipelines he needs more than 30% of the annual budget for. If 70% of our budget is for Recurrent Expenditure, and 30% is for completing pipelines projects, then it means there's nothing left. Shall Nigerians live by pipelines alone?!
Politics › Re: I Can't Believe This! Trains In Ibadan![with Pictures] by nex(m): 11:34am On Feb 15, 2012
Anybody celebrating these trains has been severely mentally bastardized by the subsequent hopelessly backward governments.

The last time I took a train was from Kano to Ibadan or thereabout. We spent about a week on the rails, after which we had to alight and take buses to Lagos.

These trains pictured here are about the same models I took a ride on in 1994. I don't know how I'm supposed to be happy that about 20 years later, we've moved backwards to where we were before. I won't celebrate this crap! 'all can go ahead and have your party; pop your champagne. Not me.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Critic Killed By Gunmen In Kano by nex(m): 5:32pm On Feb 10, 2012
Sometimes, the level of ignorance on Nairaland makes you wonder whether some posters actually typed themselves. We are talking about terrorists here whose demands are not feasible, tangible, or even understandable to the people they claim they are fighting for.

We had MEND in the South. MEND killed a lot of Nigerians while carrying out their kidnaps and while bombing facilities, yet never did Northerners come on any site or blog to say Christians should kill themselves. Why must Southerners think this way?

A Nigerian man was killed by terrorists who have been killing for years now, and people are satisfied that the victim is not of their own religion. Is this not madness?
Politics › Re: Pib To Compel Oil Majors ( Shell, Mobil, Etc) To Establish Refineries by nex(m): 5:13pm On Feb 10, 2012
Wait, wait, wait! The government forced Shell to cede its refinery, and now again, the same Nigerian government wants to force Shell to build new refineries, then ib the next 15 years, the government will again force all those companies to surrender their refineries to government incompetence again.

As consumers who have been failed by our government, it is easy to support the government in putting the blame on someone else who can be arm-twisted to pay, but as an entrepreneur who suffers the consequences of doing business under the Nigerian government daily, I know this is wrong. Very wrong.
