Do you know Atiku went to US to make deals with corrupt American businessmen he wants to sell NNPC to? The man is a hopeless thief. To everyone supporting Atiku, I pray God opens your eyes to see that the person you’re supporting is already perfecting plans to sell your destiny.
whatever you think you know, kindly keep it to yourself, nobody is interested, worry about your own fortune, the Atiku supporters will worry about theirs, its not up to you to decided for anybody who they choose to vote for, and our eyes are wide opened and we can see for ourselves, it is you God should open his eyes to see, and that is if you are not already part of the plan of the APC to keep making the country economy worse and killings going without any solution.

Politics / Re: Anti-corruption Network Asks Malami To Disqualify Atiku by nextnear(m): 12:25pm On Feb 22, 2019
titiloyeblog:
The World Anti-Corruption Research Network has asked the attorney-general of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, to disallow Atiku Abubakar from contesting in Saturday’s presidential election.

The UK-based group in the petition dated February 20, 2019, said it is worried about Atiku’s candidacy which “poses a security risk to the country”.

Atiku, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has had multiple criminal investigations over the last decade, the group said.

“The major heads of our concern against this candidate are twofold,” read the petition, signed by Gbenga Oduntan on behalf of two other group — HEDA, led by Olanrewaju Suraj, and The Corner House, headed by Nicholas Hildyard.

“In view of the available open-source evidence, he is, in our opinion not fit and proper person and shouldn’t therefore, not be allowed to contest and/or enter into the most exalted office of the land in any country, let alone in Nigeria which has been addressing severe transparency challenges.”

The group listed the alleged bribery and money laundering cases involving the former vice-president.

Atiku had been accused of demanding a bribe of $500,000 to facilitate the award of contracts to two American telecommunication firms in Nigeria and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had also searched his residence in the US but no money was found.

The investigators had videotaped William Jefferson, who was the congressman representing Louisiana, receiving $100,000 worth of $100 bills which he claimed was meant for Atiku, but the PDP’s candidate has consistently denied the allegation.

“Atiku Abubakar’s exposure to the United States criminal justice system over the last decade gives the United States government near complete leverage over him,” the group said while listing the security implications should he emerge Nigeria’s president.

“It is extremely easy to compromise someone who has put himself in this position through blackmail. The threat of releasing damaging revelations and evidence kept on file against him over the years is a clear and present danger.

“The use of Kompromat on foreign leaders in international relations is alive and well and is, in fact, topical in relation to the United States history and current national life.”

The group said Atiku’s presidency would be vulnerable and be easily exploited by the US.

For 13 years, Atiku could not enter the US but he was eventually granted a visa in December.

His subsequent visit to the US was a boast to his campaign but the group said his visit, allegedly facilitated by US lobbyists, is an indication of collusion between his campaign and foreign elements and this makes his candidacy a risky one on Nigeria.

The group called on security agencies, academia, lawyers to engage in an interdisciplinary study of the business and any other connections between Atiku and the US.

“In addition to the need to avoid allowing an easily compromised person to become President of Nigeria upon whom illegal leverage may be exercised, there is the urgent need to consider the implications for Nigeria’s image to install a President like Atiku Abubakar in view of the country’s avowed interests to abandon the brand of being a ‘fantastically corrupt state’,” it said.

Atiku is the major challenger of President Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election holding on Saturday.

my own reason is excessive pride along with ego on both sides, fame often enters their heads that makes them forgets to use their loving hearts, wife can't submit completely to their husbands because they are almost equally rich and have no enough time for home and family responsibilities, while men always allow the sense of being the head and decision decider enters into their heads that they tends to control their wives anyhow they want like she is a slave bought for a price, with also the claim of no same rights at home.
in conclusion... wife may think husband wants to destroy their celebrity carrier. while husband can feel wife is spending more time outside with men and react on assumption or any little rude and unlovely action from the wife.
my advise is... celebrities should reduce rate of getting married to celebrities, also they should try and keep their union on a low key to avoid unnecessary problems. and you know fake news is spreading like wild fire

The police alone controls the security of any civil election in developed nations, i just wonder why civil defence, federal road safety and Nigeria police is not enough to secure our national election, it shows incompetence and uselessness of our law enforcers.

Crime / Re: Customs Detain Four Officers Over Civilian Friend’s Killing by nextnear(m): 8:01am On Feb 20, 2019

The Nigeria Customs Service has said that four members of the patrol team involved in the killing of their civilian ‘friend’, Godwin Onoja, have been detained.

It also stated that a panel set up to investigate the killing could not conclude its investigation because the officer, who accidentally shot Onoja, Destiny Onebamho, was receiving medical attention after he was attacked by motorists following the killing.

Onoja was shot by a member of the five-man Customs patrol team while they were trying to allegedly extort N5,000 bribe from a group of travellers coming from Europe at the Sagamu end of the Lagos-Ore-Benin Expressway.

It was gathered that the victim was shot during an altercation between the officers of the Federal Operations Unit of the NCS, Ikeja, Lagos, and the travellers, who boarded an Iyare Motors’ passenger bus travelling to Benin City from Lagos.

A statement from the NCS Public Relations Officer, Joseph Attah, on Tuesday, said Onebamho would be questioned by the panel once fit to enable it conclude its investigation and recommend appropriate actions to be taken against the operatives.

According to the statement, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (retd.) has directed a thorough investigation into the immediate and remote causes of the incident with a view to ensuring that justice is served.

Attah stated, “Following the unfortunate incident of Sunday, February 17, 2019, at the Sagamu interchange involving operatives of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’, which led to the death of a fellow citizen, Mr Godwin Onoja, the Nigeria Customs Service has continued to maintain close contact with the bereaved family.

“We are pained by this sad development and share the grief of losing a fellow compatriot in a seemingly avoidable circumstance. We will continue to take every necessary step to cushion the pain associated with losing a dear one.

“In line with this directive, the investigation panel headed by the Zonal Coordinator, Zone ‘A’, ACG Kaycee Ekekezie, has interrogated and detained four members of the patrol team.

“The panel could not immediately conclude the investigation because the actual officer, ASCI Destiny Onebamho, whose rifle accidentally discharged and killed Onoja, is presently receiving medical attention following the attack on him owing to the unfortunate incident. He will face the panel as soon as he is fit to do so to enable the panel conclude investigation and recommend appropriate actions.”

Attah added that the ongoing investigation would be holistic and would involve looking at the weapon handling skills of the operatives and actions that must be taken by the service to prevent future occurrences.

they are supposed to be detained by the police, not the customs, the crazy officer shot and killed a civilian, and should be trialled at a civilian court as well, so why should they be in custom detention, and they should just stop claiming he victim was a custom's friend or so, av seen the video, it was a deliberate shot directly at the victim, not a stray bullet, or an accidental stuff, do they think we are all stupid, what a country sha.

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has said its officers involved in the incident that occurred along Ijebu Ode road on Sunday are being interrogated.

A video, which went viral on social media on Sunday, showed a supposed passenger of a commercial bus being allegedly shot dead by a customs officer, though, it was denied by NCS, saying it was an accidental discharge.

Giving further details, Mr Joseph Attah, the Public Relations Officer of the NCS, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Monday, explained that the Customs Assistant Comptroller General, Zone A had on Monday visited the Federal Operations Unit in the zone at Ikeja, Lagos to interrogate the officers involved.

He said that the investigation was to find out the immediate and remote causes of the unfortunate incident that led to the death of an innocent citizen.

According to him, the interrogation will also to reveal if a better handling of weapon would have averted the incident.

“The officers involved are being interrogated, we look at it holistically, including weapon handling skills.

“If the officers are found guilty, they will be punished appropriately, we will allow the investigation to take place first.

“We still stand our ground that it is not a passenger of the bus that was deliberately shot dead but the victim was hit by the accidental discharge.

“An audio is now trending from one of the passengers of the bus that the person that died is not one of them.

“We insist that the person that died was not a passenger but a good Samaritan who used to assist our officers, we described him as a friend of Customs,’’ he explained.

The spokesperson said that training of its personnel was a continuous process, adding that the Service often sought assistance from the military in this regard.

“Like we said that in our statement, it is painful and totally unnecessary to lose life in anti-smuggling operations.’’

He urged the general public to be wary of what was being posted on social media because some of those things could mislead them.

it seems this their spokesperson is mad, or maybe he thinks everybody is stupid except him, didn't he watched the video, av played it over and over again, in fact the talk of whether the victim was a passenger or not is a foolish talk and not relevant, the fact is clear there that the custom officer cocked the gun first then shot the man, what is stray bullet there, they want to be defending themselves, a crime is a crime self whether mistake or not as long as its not self defense which obviously was an unarmed victim, thank God for the video now, coz if there was none, they would say no evidence, there are eye witnesses as well, so all these are a senseless talks jare.

Revealed: PDP’s $3m per state cash-for-vote plot
FacebookTwitterGoogle+PinterestLinkedInWhatsAppEmail
•Ex-INEC chief named in deal •Peace Panel member romances opposition •Party denies claim
Security agencies have uncovered how the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has allocated about $3million (N1.8billion) to each state branch of the party, allegedly for inducement of voters.

The cash was remitted before last Saturday’s postponement elections, but most state chapters were finding it difficult to change the cash to naira because of the surveillance on Bureau De Change operators by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS).

Also, the agencies have intercepted alleged compromise of some officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), policemen and other security agents in some states.

The intelligence report, including the alleged implication of a former top official of INEC, may be presented to the chairman of the electoral commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, by the security agencies.

A former Resident Electoral Commissioner is believed to be neck-deep in the massive cash-for-votes plot.

Besides, a member of the National Peace Committee headed by former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar has been fingered in “political romance” with the opposition, contrary to the mandate of the group.

The popular thinking is that the PDP has hidden under the guise of “logistics” to allocate about $3million (N1.8billion) per state, which security agencies discovered that it was for inducement of voters.

Based on the 36 states, about $111million (N66.6billion) has been deployed by the leading opposition party to influence voters.

The intelligence report indicated that the money was different from the cash allocated to “compromise some officers of INEC, policemen and security agents in some states” which had been marked by security agencies.

An intelligence source said: “ Reports so far have showed that the main opposition party has allocated $3m(N1.8billion) to each of its state chapters under the guise of logistics for the general elections.

“But intelligence confirmed that the cash is for vote buying with about N400,000 devoted to some polling units out of the nation’s 120,000.

“Some of the huge cash cannot be converted to Naira because of the surveillance on Bureau De Change operators by the EFCC and DSS.

“And most banks have become circumspect in view of a similar experience in 2015 in which about N23.9 poll bribery cash was shared through their branches.”

The source, who pleaded not to be named because of the “sensitivity” of the matter, gave insights into the alleged compromise of some INEC officers through a former top shots of the electoral commission who had been engaged as consultants.

The source added: “Detectives also discovered a ‘grand compromise’ of some INEC officers, policemen and others in some states. A former INEC top officer and ex-Resident Electoral Commissioner are implicated in the plans to compromise the nation’s electoral integrity.

“These former top INEC officers were found to have played a key role in the recruitment of the ad hoc staff in some strategic states by using internal links/ surrogates in INEC to perfect their plot. Many officers in INEC, who were recruited by these former officers, are still loyal to them.

“These ex-officers had infiltrated the system and could cause any sabotage of the poll at any point, if it does not favour those who hired them. This is why it is easier for the opposition to have every detail about the movement and actions of INEC chairman and his National Commissioners.

“The intelligence report will be made available to the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, especially as it relates to its field officers in some states.

“As for policemen and other security agents, the appropriate authorities are handling specific cases. And these issues will be attended to before the beginning of the poll on Saturday.”

Asked if the intelligence report has been made available to the National Peace Committee, the source said: “It is still an intelligence document as I speak with you now.

“The challenge we are having also is that a member of the committee has been fingered in a political romance with the opposition because of vested interests in some deals.

“Notwithstanding, the government will decide on how and when to brief relevant stakeholders.”

Reacting, INEC said it was unaware of the existence of a recording of the PDP corrupting its men.

In the leaked telephone conversation, a top government official in Rivers State was heard mapping out plans on how to win the last Saturday’s election, which was rescheduled.

INEC officials were said to have been settled to pave the way for the ruling party in the state.

Besides, names of the officials were mentioned in the conversation, which include officials from neighbouring states.

The government official could also be heard issuing out warning to kill any INEC officials who fails to cooperate after collecting money from the government.

However, INEC National Commissioner in charge of Information and Voter Education Committee, Mr. Festus Okoye, said the commission was yet to see the purported recording.

Okoye, who was responding to inquiry by The Nation, said: “I have not seen the recording you are alluding to.”

Also reacting, the PDP said the opposition party lacked the financial wherewithal to deploy such cash.

Its spokesman Kola Ologbodiyan: “We don’t have such funds anywhere, but we enjoy massive support and goodwill of a greater number of Nigerians. As an opposition party, where can we get that money.

“It was the same APC that mocked us a few weeks ago, saying that we were broke and that we could not fund our campaign. Now they have turned around to accuse us of spending such funds.

“Is it not strange that a ruling party is now portraying itself as the victim simply because they have been rejected by the people?

“Rather, it is the APC that has spent humongous amount on their campaign across the country and they are still spending. We have the figures and at the appropriate time we shall release them. For now, we are focused on the coming elections. So, we are very busy right now

obviously this is the work of APC, it's all irrelevant, coz av seen APC involved in vote buying a lot, even Fashola supported it that "if politician gives you money for election, you should collect it, that its your right" so what's the noise about, so the writer is just scared about how huge the money is and how influential it will be on PDP victory, whatever... even if you take this accusation to the UN, nothing's gonna happen jare. deal with it.

Politics / Re: Buhari Showing His True Colours With Death Threat – Atiku by nextnear(m): 7:24am On Feb 19, 2019
zakim:
The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, yesterday said President Muhammadu Buhari was showing his “true colours and complete disregard for the constitution” by saying ballot boxes’ snatchers would be doing so at the expense of their lives.

Atiku, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, said threatening people with death in the context of an election “is incitement to electoral violence.”

Atiku, who kicked against the plan to deploy soldiers for the 2019 general elections, describing it as an anomaly in democracy, also condemned alleged “intimidation tactics of the Federal Government.

Responding to Buhari’s remark that the military and the police had been directed to be ruthless at ballot boxes’ snatchers, Atiku said deployment of troops “creates an atmosphere of warfare, which in turn heats up the polity, which is why it is not a common occurrence in other climes during elections.”

He also kicked against alleged “arrest of perceived members of the opposition ahead of elections,” describing it as anti-democratic.

“We were shocked to hear General Buhari live on national television threatening to kill people for an offense where no such proscription exists under law. The last time we looked, the death-penalty was not a sanction of the 2010 Election Act. In fact, threatening people with death in the context of an election is incitement to electoral violence, which is an offense under that Act,” he said.

He said he was not surprised that such a remark was coming from “the leader of a political party that has threatened that foreigners who intervene in the forthcoming elections should be sent home in body bags.

“The reason the APC-controlled federal government will want to deploy the military is not to stem the rising cases of violence, but for the simple reason that the APC wants to use the military to intimidate the opposition and pave the way for rigging.

“Once again, General Buhari is showing his true colours and completedisregard for our constitution and the laws of this country. He is getting confused with when he was President under military rule. His fig leaf of being a ‘reformed democrat’ has been blown away by this latest statement leaving his democratic credentials as naked as the day he was born.”

Atiku recalled that during his interview on “The Candidates” last month, he had hinted of the establishment of the Electoral Fraud Commission to deal, in line the laws of the land, with matters relating to electoral offences.

with due respect sir, his excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, though i am your supporter, and even if president Buhari statement on snatching of ballot box sounds extremely improper, but the question is why should anyone be allowed to snatch a ballot box, what right do such person have, sir its the best warning possible to avert snatching of ballot boxes so i agree with the president on this one. even if its just this one alone.

though am not a Buhari supporter but i agree with the president, what gives anyone the right to snatch a ballot box, even when its not only your own voting sheet that's inside the box, or as if the box is the person's family property, in fact the security operatives should shoot on sight anyone who dares that, others will learn from a "scape goat" example, nonsense!.

A Twitter user identified as @rozzeloya, who obviously want to go viral, has taken to the platform to advise men who has less than 500k in their bank account to abstain from sex.

According to the young lady, they should focus more on working hard rather than sleeping with a lady.

See her tweet below:
