OfoIgbo:
Nwokem, stop parading your foolishness for all to see.

Igbos are obviously huge employers in Lagos, from the various markets, super markets and blue-chip companies, car dealerships, film industry e.t.c.
so Igbos account for more than their fair share of the PAYE contribution.

Now taxes on levies and market traders, land registration e.t.c are heavily paid by Igbos in Lagos, and you know that.

Igbos are not also doing too badly in terms of road taxes.

So all the stuff you showed have huge Igbo representation. You have only just helped me in confirming the 50% IGR Igbos contribute to Lagos.
Do they think it's only Yoruba's that are responsible for the 51% VAT Lagos recorded?

They are not serious, I really like how the VAT thing is going, it will really help other state to sit tight and think outside the box, do you know that the number of banks inside Onitsha main market alone is more than the total number of banks in state capital like Lokoja, Ado-Ekiti,, markudi etc.

So the problem is tax collection, because the revenue is there and going into wrong pockets

Can you defend this Shukudi Bureau of Statistics you just quoted? If you’re sure of your claims, can you open a thread and let’s debate this together? If you runaway with your tail between your legs like Ojuku then you’re a coward.

Below is how Lagos get her revenue:

PAYE (45%):
Pay As You Earn (PAYE) is a form of personal income tax that refers to tax deducted directly from the wages and salaries of employees operating in the formal sector.

Other Taxes (19.27%):
These include various taxe such as levies on market traders, land registration and other landrelated fees, as well as development levies on individuals, pool betting/lottery/gaming fees and stamp duties on individuals.

Direct Assessment (2.39%):
Direct assessment relates to those taxes imposed on businesses, especially (informal) by the State authorities, based on the size of their activities.

Road Tax (2.48%):
Road taxes are daily levies paid by commercial transporters operating within Lagos.

Based on the above:
You should apologize ASAP for giving ridiculous statistics about the your tiny landlocked poor states that can’t even match up to Kaduna. Stop meddling into things you don't understand. The Igbo 2by 2 shops are not what is generating tax for the Lagos government. What the Banks, Insurance, Mega-corporations, Dangote, and etc. generates alone for Lagos is more than what those 2by2 shops will generate for 500 years!

Source: https://yourbudgit.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/LAGOS-STATE-DATA-BOOK.pdf
The highlighted point is enough for a State like Anambra and Abia State, you may not agree with me but interns of transportation and markets their is no state apart from Lagos that can match them, so if both state can develop a better tax collection structure, they can even surpass the 19.27% you mentioned.

The problem with South East State is, they don't pay tax and the government is not serious about tax, truth be told there is high level of economic activities in South East, cash flow in these states are very high.

I wonder what you have to say about oyo and ogun state, even ondo is higher than Enugu . With all these dumb bragging your region is still the poorest in the region. Building mansions in village with fvcked up roads to stroke your weak egos don't generate IGR. No reasonable person would want to go invest in your region seeing how you people go about destroying people's business cos they refuse to follow you IPOB order. I can't wait for Nigeria to be divided so you can carry your businesses back to biafuro. Yoruba land needs to breath.
Oga forget this IGR things you are seeing, South East don't tax their citizens like other western states, take a look at Imo State, that state is sitting in a mouth watering IGR, example Addex petroleum, Chevron, Shell, Water Smith petroleum and Refinery, Saplet etc. Hospitality industry, Consumption tax and retail stores, the rest, now go to Abia State, and Anambra state they have numerous local industry, the largest SME's in West Africa, largest market's in Africa etc.... This states with proper revenue collection structure will never be broke

Is this not what we have been preaching for years?
All talks of multi ethnic BIAFRA with minorities should stop and full throttle aggressive Igbo nationalism geared towards uniting all Igbo speaking people in SS and NC with SE be activated.

Have we not been saying this for years while IPOB and their "suplim lida" are obsessed with yeye unity with aggressive minorities out to grab Igbolands while riding on the Igbophobic horse of Hausa-Fulani and their Muslim supporters from SW?

Have we not said that we must first put Igboland in order by pursuing an Igbo only Biafra?

You are jumping at the knowledge of Opobo and Bonny today, but many of us have always known this for decades.
Yet you don't Know this, but you oppose us and push your ignorance driven multi ethnic BIAFRA with Igbophobic minority groups.

It's obvious you really don't know much of your history and not any clue about Lagos. It would be a complete waste of my time trying to school you. Use the internet to make your researches
Calabar is considered as the first capital of Nigeria because it served as the first capital of the Southern Protectorate, the Oil River Protectorate, and Niger Coast Protectorate. This was until the late nineteenth century, when the administrative centre of the Southern protectorate was moved to Lagos in 1906.24 Aug 2021.

So since 1906 till 1991 or so Lagos was the capital of Nigeria, witnessing all the development throughout this period.

I can tell you for a fact that nothing gets done in present day Lagos without the express approval of Tinubu (forget the State governor, that one na stooge). The present status of Lagos is work put in starting especially from the time of Tinubu as a governor till date. Cross River was also once a State Capital, why is Cross River not at par with Lagos in terms of structural development?
Cross River was not capital of Nigeria, it's was for Southern protectorate for few months, but Lagos was for many decades, all the bridges, flyovers major express roads, hospitals, high institutions, airport and seaports are federal government projects. So show us Tinubu projects in Lagos

people died because of this , if the original owners are unable to provide 3 million after the road construction , what happens? Am asking you
Your question is neither here or there, because as a shop owners you should be able to rent out that shop for at least 2 million a year, so if you can pay that amount then be ready to let go of the shop to people that can pay. The problem with us is that will like to eat our cake and still half it.

My question is,

Will the value of these shops in ariaria that is in a dilapidated state and the value after reconstruction be the same?

If you don't bring 4 million you will loose it . The question is , what happens to the original owners who can't provide 4 million? This is just people's fears unless you are gov paid agent
You can't provide 4 million after collecting rent for decades, because most of the shops are on rent.

You are a big fool and idiot! You posted detastable pictures of ariaria, then the governor in his conscience, moved into action and here you are talking rubbish. If anyone can be truthful, Ipkeazu has been a detribalised governor. During the time of orji uzor ngwans who are the majority were only given 1 slot in ministerial appointment, t.a orji managed to give 4. The remodelling of markets in Aba started with Ahia ohuru. The governor in his wisdom told all shop owners to forward their names through a government agent in the market. The names of the shop owners were published in the government Facebook page and those who felt that they were neglected were asked to speak up before commencement of work as the governor assured them that all of them will get there shops back. The same method is going to be applied in the case of ariaria. The leadership of aria (AMATA) is run by non ngwans from the President of AMATA to the executives. Even the immediate past commissionair of trade and investment whom market fall under his ministry, Cosmos Ndukwe, the owner of luxury city hotels is from igbere in Bende Local Government, the same local government with Orji uzor kalu. He championed the renovations of markets starting from shopping centre and made a massive move to renovate Ariaria but the cabals in ariaria kicked against it while at the same time blame the governor and post derogatory pictures of the market. WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU IDIOTS WANT?
For saying the truth God will continue to bless you, like I said in another thread, the shop owners are not helping matters at all, and they want government to fold their arms and watch ariaria market collapse one day.
