Politics / Re: Peter Obi Supporters Finally Accept That Tinubu Won 2023 Presidential Election by Ngozi123(f): 11:29am On Feb 25
Biodun556:
IPOB, before the 2023 election, said Obi would win. After the election, they said Obi was rigged 'because majority of Nigerians voted for him'. They went to court saying they would win πŸ’―%. After they lost in court, they blamed the judiciary for not giving Obi 'his mandate'.

But as the ongoing reforms to reposition the economy bite hard, IPOB are jubilating with a breaking News confession "since all of you decided to vote for Tinubu, this is good for you".

At last, IPOB live above their self delusion and accepted the will of Nigerians.

grin

They are mocking Tinubu supporters, not saying that he won the election.

That Tinubu rigged himself into power does not mean nobody voted for him.

Oga what are you saying about the Islamic cleric that called Mrs Tinubu a kafir that should be killed. Chai the Yoruba hatred for Igbos is real, Bishop Chukwuma is not even an lgbo man, he is from Delta state, you can see he mentioned Asaba specifically but you are here shouting south east this and that
Again your traditional rulers in the south west are becoming endangered species no thanks to Fulani bandits.

Bishop Chukwuma is a proud Igbo man, don't let these miscreants convince you that there are no Igbos in the South-South.

Same thing Balewa said in the 1950s and the sons of Zik exterminated him. Same shit is still happening now.

They mock others, yet demand for equality with those ones that they mock. They are faraway from home and scattered all over Nigeria; hence, are vulnerable to attacks/pogroms which led to the Nigerian civil war.

Go and start killing them then. Just as your ruined economy is affecting all and sundry, so will the violence, should it start.

Your people didn't experience even a little of that war so I would not be piping up if I was you. Only those who have experienced war and know the consequences of it should be talking.

Obidients think it's only Igbos that are not dealing with hunger even though statistics says otherwise. They have been mocking other tribes all over social media. I

No amount of mockery can ever compare to bringing in the worst government Nigeria has ever seen.

When Peter Obi told you corn people that you wouldn't buy cheaper food, fuel etc than other Nigerians, you didn't believe him.

Politics / Re: Economic Situation:Stop Fanning Embers Of Ethnic War , Fadojoe Tells Igbos by Ngozi123(f): 11:20am On Feb 24
LifestyleTonite:

It's sad seeing how Igbos reason. Fadojoe is not saying Igbos should join protest, but Igbos on this thread have misconstrued him. He's simply calling for an end to the way they are blatantly mocking Yoruba people on social media. That single action will cost them tomorrow, and when it happens, they will say "they hate us".

How do you think the Yorubas that voted Obi against their tribesman are feeling seeing Igbos ridiculing their tribe everyday on social media? Do you think the gaslighting that worked for Obi in 2023 will fool them again?

What amuses me is how Igbos are trying hard to make people feel they are not feeling the heat of the economy. The people whose land produces agricultural products are crying of hunger, the ones with ports are crying of hunger, the ones with oil are doing the same, yet the ones who are landlocked and not known for agriculture are acting as of their bellies are filled. Who is fooling who? Right now, the South West leaders are doing what they can to help the Yorubas, and soon the issue will be stabilized. When the Igbos supposed to hold their leaders for the same, they are busy portraying themselves as okay and above sucy needs. Well, that leaves their governors with the opportunity to loot whatever the FG gives as palliatives. Tomorrow, they will turn around and cry marginalization.

The sad part is that when things start to normalize and become better, the same people will be filled with sadness and bitterness. That's to show that they never meant well for Nigeria.

So, it's okay for you to generalise an entire tribe but not for Igbo people to do it?

This is my problem with you Agbadorians, you just don't seem to get it. It's okay to blame all Igbos and to still be 'punishing' them today for the actions of a handful of soldiers (who weren't even all Igbo) 50+ years ago but it's not okay for Igbos to blame all Yorubas for Tinubu's presidency (even though most of them did vote for him)?

The hypocrisy is unreal. You people could not take even 1% of what you have bee dishing out to the Igbos.

This is coming from someone who does not blame all Yorubas for the current crisis, btw. undecided

Almost every calamity befalling these folks are now blamed on igbos, if they build houses and the houses collapse, they will not blame contractor or the manufacturer of steel or dangote and Bua for cement , they will blame igbo merchants.

They elect an ineffectual buffoon, they buffoon brings inept policies that are bringing the economy and the country on its knees and their biggest headache is igbo.

Fulani herdsmen men come into their territory, kidnapping school children and slaughtering traditional rulers but their biggest headache is igbo.

When their businesses fail because of poor business acumen, they turn their anger on igbos and blame igbos for taking over the market.

When they run into financial difficulties and are unable to get facility from the bank because of no collateral and resort to selling ancestral property to igbos , they still come back to blaming igbos for their misfortune.

What a race , what a people, tufiakwa!!!!

Those who did not vote in the current regime are only asking not to be grouped with those who did.

I agree with him. We should not blame all Yorubas. Only the Tinubu supporters (whether overt or covert).
Politics / Re: Economic Situation:Stop Fanning Embers Of Ethnic War , Fadojoe Tells Igbos by Ngozi123(f): 11:07am On Feb 24
He is right in that not all Yoruba people should be blamed for the current economic crisis. I don't blame them and I don't think it's right to blame those who did not support Tinubu for his actions.

However, it was Tinubu and his APC cohorts who made this into a tribal affair, not the Igbos. Tinubu put a huge target on Yoruba people's backs when he put so many Yoruba people into positions of power, particularly those pertaining to the economy. It gave the impression that that the Yorubas were running the economy. It's now failing and the blame is being put solely on them.

Again, I think this is wrong but that's how Nigeria is. The Igbos were murdered and are still being blamed for something that a bunch of army officers (who weren't even all Igbo) did over 50 years ago.

Apt.

I keep telling them this, they keep replying with insults claiming that one is an agbadorian claiming to vote for Obi. The support he had in the last election among the yorubas, he has lost it through their unguarded statements. The support is immense and heavily under quantified.

It is Peter Obi I pity, because he seems to be heavily investing in his political future, with the way he's maintaining a presence as opposition leader, donating here and there and maintaining a media team. I pity him as his obedients has done irreparable damage to his candidature. He'll get less votes and support in the next election. People are free to bookmark this.

The unique thing with Nigeria's political space that some people are still failing to come to terms with is that you cannot do it alone. No matter how vocal and sound you are. You need the ample support of at least 3 other regions if vote sharing comes to play. But if not, you need the ample support of 4 regions to win the presidency if its a 2 horse race. Basket mouth will always damage the credibility and trustworthiness of a candidate.

You people keep talking like you know tomorrow. Do you even know if Nigeria will even exist come 2027?

There is a lesson to be learned for you people and from your comment above, it seems that you have still not grasped it yet.

I urge every Igbo person to not tell them what it is.

All you wrote here are lies , let me burst them.

I went to benue for the first time as a boy, in ldoma part of benue, prior to that l used to hear about the Biafran war from my parents and others but I never understood what it means nor how the war was fought .
I didn't knew who was Nigeria or Biafra in that war but when I got to benue state, my age mates from that side who were still reveling in the Nigeria victory made me know what actually took place then, they won't size any opportunity to recount to you how Gowon 's superior fire power overcame that of Ojukwu.
These are stories that were passed by their fathers who were mostly ex soldiers, it became a past time mockery for these boys against me as an lgbo boy.

No 2 lie is that you claimed that benue soldiers could not resist joining other soldiers in the war but that is a big lie as most benue foot soldiers in that war were enlisted purposely for the war. There are lots of benue young men who willingly joined the army just to fight biafrans.

Another lie is that IPOB has killed more lgbos than number of benue killed by Fulanis. I put it to you that Fulani has killed more benue indigens n just one year than all the killings in the south east for the past three years . There has never been a mass burial in south east but mass burial is being recorded in benue almost on monthly basis.

You guys are very delusional, Fulanis are slaughtering you with the tacit support of the yorubas but the igbos are your problem.
Go and get sense abeg

There's a clear and conceited effort to put all the blame for the maladministration of the country on the Igbos. It happened before the Biafra War and it is happening now.

My only advice to Ndigbo is to please remain calm and do not engage in any single protest. All they can say right now is that we're making mouth on Social Media. That is it. They have nothing else to say.

I really don't like creating threads that will cause unnecessary fight but I've carefully studied and monitored events in Benue for some time.

What baffles me the most sometimes is the negative comments from some Igbos saying Benue people are reaping what they planted during the civil war because they helped the Nigerian government, it is one nonsense story almost every Igbo person knows.

Firstly, During the Biafra war, Benue and the entire middle belt was under the control of the Nigerian government with military administrators fully in charge, so how do you expect Benue people serving in the army not to fight with the central government.

Secondly, did ojukwo consult Benue people before going into war? Did he mention Benue as part of Biafra during his speech?

Thirdly, why are they so fixated on Benue than the rest of the middle belt?

Lastly, Is General Yakubu Gowon from Benue state? The man that fought against you

The lack of humanity in these people is truly horrifying, the same way they are supporting the massacre of innocent Palestinians in Gaza but they are always quick to report Nigerian military to ICC for trying to weed out IPOB.

During the last election, Benue, plateau and several states in the middle belt supported Mr Obi and the labour party including my family and myself, in Benue APC won with a difference of just 2k votes, maybe through rigging with the help of Akume the current SGF.

We could've supported Tinubu or Atiku, but we didn't because we believe in Obi more than the rest of the candidates.

My Igbos brothers should get that nonsense story off their heads and stop creating more enemies for themselves, you can't be fighting every other tribe and region and then expect them to support you during elections.

They must learn how to build bridges of love.

IPOB has killed more people in south east than Fulani herdsmen in Benue, it's either they sympathize with Benue people or they keep their mouths shut and avoid such threads completely.

For Benue people, I think they should stop supporting south east thinking they are brothers, they should just remain neutral and stick to middle belt region.

We pray for good leaders that will do things right and change the minds of our people, not tribalistic leaders.

Once again, there's freedom of expression in our constitution, so nobody should get mad at me for speaking my mind.

I also expect them to report this thread, but my message would have been passed by then.

Please leave Benue people alone.

Is it not strange to you that you're complaining about Igbos not sympathising with your plight yet at the same time time complain about us not sympathising with the Palestinians? Has any Palestinian come out and spoken against your people's issues?

Many Igbos have come out to sympathise with your people. Some of those that haven't may have used the war as a reason but if you've studied history, you would understand their point of view.

If a parent tells their child to not put their hand in fire and they do it, there's a 50% chance that parent will admonish the child before helping them.

Please don't hide behind the "we were under the control of the Nigerian government" as an excuse for the atrocities committed in the Biafra War. It doesn't wash and it makes you come across as unsympathetic to what the Biafrans went through, which is ironically what you're accusing the Igbos of doing.

I think that some people mistake Tinubu supporters aka Agbadorians for all Yorubas and that's where the issue lies. People should make it clear that they're talking about Agbadorians and not all Yorubas.

Some people also make the same mistake with Igbos and Obidients.
