Wetin concern people from south east with Yoruba matters now..You crossed Delta, Edo, Ondo and Ogun before reaching Lagos.
I still see it as a family affairs and Yorubas knows how to settle themselves. If you are not from the south west, keep off...its a family affairs..
Look at it, you can't remove Lagos from ijebu land..Awujale(king) of ijebuland owns the whole of Epe up to Lekki in Lagos state.fyi, the political headquarter of ijebus is ijebu ode in Ogun state.

You're right. It is none of our business and we have our own issues to face. I hope you will say the same whenever a Yoruba poster goes to comment on an Igbo/minority SS thread?

The Igbos clamouring for Biafra should be cursing Azikiwe everyday and night. But no, it's the innocent they will be hating.

Had Azikiwe heed to the dangers Pa Awo and Saudauna saw about a multiethnic Nigeria, we won't be in this conundrum. He was blinded by tribal supremacy thinking that other tribes were dumb.

Many secessionist Igbos dislike Azikiwe. Where did you get this notion from?

You people said we should stop developing your region,, now we want to go back home and develop our region,, you have started wailing already, what do you people really want igbos to do and how many investment Yoruba people have in the east, compare to investments igbos have in Lagos

They want Igbo people to leave but keep their money.

Essentially, they want to have their cake and eat it two.

Can you even be sensible for once?

Dangote and BUA still have their companies in Lagos and have not yet been destroyed.

You people keep demarketing innoson company and their products with all these insults and chest beating. Igbos alone can not make him rich. Innoson will make more money if the whole country purchases his products so Igbos generating hatred for Innoson is not good fo his company

A lot of Yoruba peoole have been calling for Igbos to leave Lagos so it makes very little sense for him to have a base there.

He's showing other Igbo billionaires how to behave. Ojukwu told them, now they're listening.

I'm not aware Hushpuppy had a chieftancy title, Oluomo, is a prince from a royal family, Tinubu was conferred a traditional title for his contribution, a man that fought for democracy had earned it. igbo tradition seems to have been corrupted, that's why i asked if that was how it was practiced back then but then again, they were once called warrant chiefs.

MC Oluomo is from a Yoruba royal family and behaves like that? shocked Shame on you for even saying this in a positive light! shocked

On one hand, you that Igbo tradition is corrupt. On the other hand, you say that a well-known tout and criminal is from a well respected Yoruba royal family. Can you not see your own hypocrisy? shocked

I don't, why must the title preparation cost so much if the intention was not to use it as a conduit to enrich few pockets. It explains why yahoo boys end up with those title. Is this how the tradition was being practiced back then?

Title preparation is expensive because everything is expensive in Nigeria nowadays. The people ruling the country (not voted in by the vast majority of Igbos) have completely destroyed her economy. It's not by force to have a chieftancy title so it being expensive or not should not be an issue for anybody.

London has exclusive members-only clubs where you have to prove you're wealthy before joining. Are they wrong for that?

As for the bolded, aren't Tinubu and MC Oluomo titled chiefs in Yoruba land? Hushpuppi, nko? Yoruba dominate the Yahoo business both home and abroad. Is Hushpuppi Igbo?

It really isn't. You will see poverty in every region in Nigeria but pound for pound, the South-East is probably one of the least affected by extreme poverty.

It doesn't mean much to me, though. More needs to be to tackle all poverty in Nigeria (whether it's extreme or not).

Nope. Money is only one factor in getting a chieftancy title. The title can't be bought but the things needed to prepare getting the title cost money, if you understand what I'm saying.

I don't get the point of this thread.

So many anti-igbo bigots like the op have never failed to remind Igbos that we do not belong in Nigerian politics. Some Igbos have accepted this and encouraged themselves with the fact that, regardless of who is ruling the country, we will be fine and successful.

Why are you so mad at the notion that Igbos are doing well? What kind of envy is that?

Nsibidi is an Efik creation

I don't think the analogy you've used is accurate. A more apt one would be the Korean and Japanese writing systems. They are in many ways similar but also different too. You cannot use the Efik form of Nsibidi/Nsibiri to formulate Igbo words (as you can with Latin letters and Yoruba). There are completely different symbols (letters) in each that do not exist in the other.

If you were to say that Igbo Nsibidi/Nsibiri was derived from the Efik one then I think your argument would make more sense. It may or may not be true but it would make more sense.

Igbo Nsibidi/Nsibiri is one of it's own and only for the Igbo language.

Do you dispute this?

I only know one albino family and they're Yoruba. I don't care about whatever argument you're trying to make (there's nothing wrong with albino people and people like you with your prejudices make their lives 100 times harder) but the high number of fair skinned people in the Igbo ethnic group can only be attributed to genetic mutation. This was as a result of our environment and diet.

Albinism is different to light skin. The albino Yoruba family I mentioned above had two dark skinned parents and two albino children.

You hate yourselves doesn't mean everyone else is the same

Ordinary tomorrow is another Monday for you to beat up and lock up your own People for nothing but greed

Countless innocent people you murdered for just going to Work on Monday of all days

It was one thing for you to dedicate an entire Osu Caste for hating

It is another thing entirely to dedicate Monday as you day of hate

That's nice. First, it's "Igbos are tribalists" then, when it doesn't suit your narrative, it's "Igbos hate themselves".

It's getting boring now but what will never be boring is the fact that you (and those like you) depend on the Igbo for your very existence.

I truly feel sorry for you. It must be such a conundrum to be so dependent on those you hate. Sorry undecided

Now we know high rates of albinism to be associated with incest

Why are you so jealous of our fair skin? The reason why we have so many fair people is because of our environment and diet.

Igbo land was heavily forested so a lot of our people were protected from the sun. Our diet is vegetable-based and doesn't contain too much oil. (Eating too much oil can darken your skin and green, leafy vegetables contain a lot of vitamins, including vitamin C, which can make your skin look bright and radiant.)

The only catch up is the one in your head. Southwest is still the most developed region in Nigeria, miles ahead of southeast.
We have technically colonized you igbos, you all migrate to southwest, learn Yoruba or little bit of it, we marry your women easily, you all come to west to school, work. Even want to dress like us, we dominate you in virtually everything and all spheres of life. Stop beating chest and ask yourself, where do your people live? Who is running from east to south? Who rules you? We have had a Yoruba president for 8 years, vice president for 8 years and another going for another 8 years while you have nothing.
We are even making this argument on a Yoruba platform, so mention one sphere in life you lead us. Is it tech, fashion, business, entertainment, development, wealth, economy, school,?

Thank you for mentioning all of the Yoruba influence in Nigerian politics. Nigeria is a failed state BTW, make of that what you will... undecided

If at least 30% of Igbos see things this way I'm very sure most of these quarrel and dragging won't exist. You can't consistently insult people's sensibility and expect them not to fight back.

Na Igbos dey always cause wahala with their utterances.

I disagree. Many Yorubas here have insulted Igbos unprovoked – even before all of this "Lagos is no man's land" business. Too many of you are ignorant of Igbo culture and judge it by what you see in Nollywood films.

I will give you one example of your people's tribalism from someone I know.

He is an Igbo man and was sharing a room with a bunch of other Nigerians (mostly other Igbo men). Only one was Yoruba and he brought his relative to stay with them. His relative (another Yoruba man) foolishly believed that all Igbos were ritualists and would kill him in his sleep if they could.

Did you know that when this guy had a seizure, it was those same Igbo guys who saved his life? If not for them, that Yoruba man would probably not be alive today.

Many of your people have backwards conceptions of Igbo people before they even open their mouths so please don't blame Igbo people for your own ignorance and misconceptions.

Thank you smiley
