CyrusVI: This bigoted statement here renders all the complaints you've made before void. You can't be complaining about tribalism when you yourself are a tribalist. 1 Like |

raskymonojendor: You've posted two threads created by one person to prove that Igbo people are promoting tribalism here. Have you checked to see how many have been created by anti-Igbo tribalists in the last few days? 1 Like |

chrisxxx: This is a stupid example. Ikwerre people speak a dialect of Igbo, practice similar customs and hold similar titles. That is why you are being called Igbo. Just change all of these and everyone will stop confusing you for Igbo people. 1 Like |

Funkyswagzz: Please stop trying to educate him. We do not care about this Ikwerre matter anymore — it's tiresome. Let them jettison their names, customs and language and adopt something that's as far away from Igbo as possible. 1 Like |

Coldie: 1) Nobody forced him to connive that starvation policy. 2) If he had any regrets and had morals then he would have apologised after the war. He was evil — plain and simple. |

Coldie: So you'd appreciate a man who murdered your wife and children but didn't steal from your house? |

Coldie: I commend you for the work you've done in this thread but your stance on Awolowo is completely wrong in my opinion. The starvation policy didn't let the war end quickly. It was a very slow and painful death for those who perished that way. Many were children. I know of a woman who lost six of her nine children in that time (the three who survived were the youngest — the older children were giving them what little food they had). To ask people to say sorry to the man who masterminded that is absolutely horrific. He was evil — plain and simple — and if he had any morals whatsoever then he would have apologised to the Igbos for what he did. 1 Like 2 Shares |

AviatorMoney: Lmao . Wonders shall never cease! You keep claiming that Igbo people are trying to force our identity on you but you won't let go of the things that actually tie you to us. Igbo language, culture and traditions are just that — Igbo. Please change them so that your transformation will be complete. 1 Like |

AviatorMoney: You. You're crying because of oil. If you really are Ikwerre then please tell your people to remove all traces of Igboness from their language, names and traditions. We don't want to mistake you as one of us. Thank you kindly. 2 Likes |

AviatorMoney: So it is because of oil that you people are crying up and down about the Igbos. Oil is a finite resource and yours will most likely dry up in the next 100 years or so (probably even sooner). Saudi Arabia is trying to diversify its economy and you people are still here shouting about Igbos and oil. Norway used its oil wealth to build a public wealth fund and you people are still shouting about Igbos and oil. Continue. When the Igbos leave Nigeria, you will surely know who your true enemies are. |

Christlike01: Can Giannis speak Igbo fluently? Can GRV or Betty's kids speak Igbo fluently? Giannis grew up outside of Yoruba land and his father likely died before he reached adulthood so it's understandable why he feels closer to his mother's side. Most people would. These Ikwerre claims are more akin to Yoruba men from a particular town marrying Igbo women and those women coming in to change their traditions, language and customs to the extent that there is no more trace of Yoruba in any of them. This is not about one or two families but a whole community of people. How is this even possible? 1 Like |

Gerhards: They do it because they believe it will benefit them politically. They don't realise that Nigeria (as we know it) is on its last legs. Tinubu's administration signing that Samoa agreement has proved this. Nigeria will divide and the Igbos will go their own way, leaving the Ikwerres to their fate. |
Culture / Re: Ikwerres Deny Ancestral Affiliation With South-East by Ngozi123(f): 10:49am On Jul 06 |
Amaggedon: Exactly. The only way this theory makes sense is if there was already an established Igbo community in the land and they (the Bini settlers) were just immigrants who came and intermarried with them. 1 Like |

OriOko88: All I want is for these Ikwerre people to change their names, titles and language to something that's as far away from Igbo as possible. We do not want to mistake one Emeka in our midst for an Igbo man when he is not. I feel sorry for them as when the Igbo leave Nigeria and Nigeria as we know it disintegrates, they will understand the true meaning of "minority". 3 Likes |

christistruth01: You're the one who tried and failed to form fake 'friendship' with Asaba people with your divide and conquer tactics. Why can't you sympathise with them? Why can't you seek justice for their murders? Lol @the bolded. Can't backtrack now when your people have been rubbing in Igbo people's faces that you "won the war". |
