richmond500: Keep supporting rubbish. There were many people who were in your position this time last year. Now, many of them are seriously suffering. This site may seem like fun and games to you but there are many people here who will see your comments and start raining curses on you because of the suffering they've endured during this administration. It's not a joke. 1 Like |

Medipharm: This is not tribalism. This woman supported both Buhari and Tinubu (both of whom have brought tremendous suffering on Nigerians) and then went on to contest for a political position in another man's land. As someone in the other thread said, if the Irish had done to her what MC Oluomo and his thugs did to some Nigerians, she might not even be here today. 61 Likes 8 Shares |

helinues: You will soon start complaining that people are insulting you. People are suffering all over Nigeria but those who saw it coming and tried to prevent it won't be as pained as those who did not. If you see your children starving and withering away like that woman in the article and you actually voted for the person who caused all of this β won't you be angry? |

Aldol: Where did I say that Igbo people are not also involved in these crimes? Did I say that Yorubas are the only Nigerians committing them? The problem here is that you people try to paint yourselves whiter than white by putting all the blame on the Igbos. It's evil and you will surely reap your reward. |

humilitypays: Those of them who are doing this are really stupid. If you keep saying "the Igbos are bad" to any rationally thinking foreigner, won't they just go and Google stuff about the Igbo tribe? Won't they find out that the Igbos have been trying to secede from Nigeria for decades? Won't they ask you why you won't allow these people (who, according to you, are giving your country a bad name) to leave? Won't they ask you what tribe the current president is from? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Aldol: You people will reap what you sow. Imagine if Igbos went up and down blaming your tribe for the international crimes your people are involved in? Fraud β your people are involved. Terrorism β your people are involved. Ritualism β your people are involved. Drugs β believe it or not, you're people are also involved. How are drugs shipped to Nigeria? Do they not have to go through customs in Lagos? Are you really telling me that the Igbos control customs in Lagos? 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Why Igbo Failed To This?.. by Ngozi123(f): 12:38pm On Aug 10 |
Slytiger: Nnamdi Azikiwe was a pan-Africanist. He believed that all African nations should be one so it's not surprising that he didn't want Nigeria to divide. He never supported Biafra so I don't know why you're trying to make it out like he represented all Igbo people at the time. Moreover, many people (mostly pan-Africanists) believed in One Nigeria at the time. They really thought it would become Africa's great hope. I don't blame them for thinking that as at the time, it really could have been. 1 Like |

Really good write up from Kperogi. I'm glad that he highlighted the Awo/Akintola conflict as that was what led to the first military coup in 1966 (erroneously named the 'Igbo coup'). 1 Like |

Softmirror: His analogy is fine. Regardless of the occasion, flying the flag of a country that Nigeria recognises and also has diplomatic relations with has never been considered a crime, let alone treason. If the Chief of Defence had said that those calling for a coup were committing treason then that would make sense. Waving another country's flag is not a crime. 1 Like |

kk2027: Their plan was to scapegoat Ndigbo (as they always do) to take the heat off their Agbado Commander in Chief. Our people caught onto their plan and refused to protest so now, their running up and down like a madman, looking for ways to tag Ndigbo into something that has nothing to do with us. seunowa: If he's my "brother" then why are you getting involved? Shouldn't you be focusing on suring up your family home so that these protestors don't come and break your head? You agbadorians should be very careful as very soon, hunger will lead people to start targeting you all. You have unleashed untold suffering on innocent Nigerians and you can't even show remorse. DMerciful: Don't be surprised if it's a devilish agbadorian who's disguised himself as an innocent northerner saying this. Most Northerners will tell you that hunger, not the Igbos, was the cause of this protest. Their people are hungry and Tinubu and his selfish policies are at the root cause of it. This is just another attempt by agbadorians to scapegoat the Igbos to cover their master's ineptitude. It's dead on arrival. They really don't know what they're about to cause . 52 Likes 3 Shares |
Politics / Re: Nationwide Protest: North Was Deceived β Adamu Garba by Ngozi123(f): 9:58pm On Aug 02 |
Shattuck: What they don't seem to realise is that after the Hutus (who started the ethnic cleansing) were deafeated, Tutsi fighters went and rounded many of them up and slaughtered them. It didn't matter that they were ordinary civillians (men, women and children). They did all this before forgiving them. Many people think that the Rwanda genocide was just a case of one tribe ethnically cleansing another tribe. It was actually a case of violence (the Hutus on the Tutsis) begetting violence (the Tutsis taking revenge on the Hutus). That there is peace in Rwanda is because both sides felt the violence (even if it was largely lopsided) and wanted an end to it. Should the same happen in Nigeria, all tribes will feel it and those who are clamouring may even be on the receiving end. 2 Likes |

Raskimonojendor: This accusation would have made sense if Ndigbo came out en masse to say that we are going to protest and then chose not to at the last minute. That is not the case. From the moment these protests were announced, many notable Igbo organisations and persons came out to declare their unwillingness to participate in them. They gave their reasons and did not back down. You people have been stoking ethnic tensions for a while now and it's because you've never actually felt the brunt of it. Only a child who does not know war will be clamouring for it. If you like, take this sound advice and change your ways or continue the way you're going and see where you'll end up. 2 Likes |
