Considering that your leader Awolowo gave up without a fight right in Lagos, Yoruba land and became 'second fiddle' to a boy young enough to be his son (Gowon) I think that Ojukwu did well in comparison.

Yorubas are the only people who surrendered their land before the fight even started.
In fact, in addition to what you said, the Afonjas are a typical illustration of the saying that "Cowards die many times before their real death". Lol!

slurryeye:
I'm so sorry for the pastor, his family and the family of his wife about the unwarranted death of his wife.
However, I will like to use this medium to talk about the Igbos attitude I have observed countless times towards their hosts on this forum. The number of insults Igbos haul at Yoruba on a daily basis despite that Yoruba land is the region most populated by Igbos outside their igboland is quite surprising. But unlike the Yorubas, Hausa/Fulani have very little tolerance for outsiders that insult them. Imagine the faith that will befall Igbos if they claim that Kano is no man's land as they like to claim in Lagos. Or what would've happened when Igbos were insulting Oba of Lagos during gubernatorial election if it were emir of Kano or sultan of sokoto. I just pray that Yorubas continue to tolerate them. But no matter how tolerant one is, you get to a point where you can't take it anymore, and I pray Igbos don't push Yoruba to that point.
Trash talker!

"Corrupt Judges"?
The media has already condemned these judges as corrupt without a fair trial or adequate evidence.
I'm not holding brief for these judges, neither am I in support of corruption but when will all these media trial, persecution and propaganda end?
It's seems all these media jamboree is geared towards tarnishing the names of the judges involved.
Yes,corrupt persons must face the laws and penalties but until proven guilty beyond any reasonable doubt, they remain guilt free.

P.S- I will only respond to reasonable quotes.if u are a tribal bigot or u attack my person because of my opinion,I will not dignify u with a response.#PatrioticNigerian

Why do you hate them so much like this, yet you still do not want them to go? What is wrong with you? You frustrated he-goat. Are they the cause of your frustration in life? Anyway, since you hate them judging from the way you make your useless comment about them, the best solution to it is just for you to die. Just go and commit suicide so that you will not live to see them separate from Nigeria. You confirmed foolish tribalist! Mumu.

Stories like this will always be subjective. I weep for Nigeria, NBA is worried about due process (rightly) but fails to condemn the apparent corrupt act of the disgraced judges. Nigeria is in a deep mess. On the other hand, due process must be followed at all times. Buhari is a product of the rule of law in this dispensation. Due process was followed. DSS had valid search warrants. Now tell me what due process the so called Judges followed when they collected bribes to pervert the cause of justice or how else can they explain the huge sums found in their bedrooms?

OP, am sure u re above 60yrs because that was the criteria used on my dad in the 50's/60's..

I started primary school in the 80's nd I did not encounter such criteria...
You are not totally correct. As for me I started my primary school in the 90's and I did it. Thus, when my father took me to one nearby Primary School in 1991 to get enrolled in Primary one, I was asked to do it. But unfortunately, my hand could not reach my ear and I was driven back despite my father's plea to them. Then a year after (i.e in 1992) I went back to the school with my father to try again and luckily for me, my hand was able to reach my ear and that was how I got enrolled in Primary one. In fact, the funniest part of it is that you have to do it without bending you head.

So are you now telling me that my friend (whom I am so sure is from Agbor and speaks Agbor very well) does not speak Agbor to me, even after I have confirmed it severally? So are u now saying that I am a liar, even after I have actually gone to her village and heard her people speak the same Agbor dialect and I still understand it? Now let me tell u what my friend does: In order to to test my understanding of the dialect, she will just say anything in Agbor and ask me to tell her the meaning, of which I will do to her satisfaction just to prove to her that I actually understand it. So my dear, dont u ever argue with somebody about something he/she has personal experience of more than u, because doing so will definitely mislead you.

who said Anioma is not igbo, Ani simply means land in anmbra Igbo,my part of Igbo calls is Ala,but if you still say ani every one will understand you,the OMA means good or beautifull, in essence anioma means good land or beautiful land, if you want to remove your self from Igbo then first you have to change the name which is already implicating you because future generations will ask serious questions on the origin of the name, the name it self is Igbo, about two villages anambra bears that name, an agbo man can never sale me with his Igbo dialect likewise me can not sale him with my dialect, there is just one Igbo which is igbo ,if you are not Igbo you are not Igbo if you are Igbo you are igbo

[quote author=supersystems post=49384090]Mr. man, permit me to say that your argument is so illogical. Reason being that no reasonable man will agree with you on the fact that Delta Igbo is a nice description to be given to the Aniomas and the rest of them. So it is either you call their tribe Igbo or u call it Delta simplicita. Do not add "Igbo" to "Delta" so that they will know that they are on their own & hav nothing at all to do with Igbo. Again, how can u be bringing the division by saying that they should better be referred to as Delta Igbo & not Igbo when u know too well that most of them bear Igbo names, they speak & understand Igbo language though with little variations & they practise Igbo cultures? Even the name "Anioma" itself is suggestive of Igbo. So pls dont call them Delta Igbo when u stll claim that they are not Igbos, because doing so is as good as shooting urself in the leg. Besides, Delta is NOT a tribe but a State. So tell me: Under which major ethnic group is Delta State classified?

My friend shut up and get out of here if you dont know what to comment. Although I am not in support of referring to some parts of Rivers State who are actually Igbos as "Rivers Igbo" but are u denying the fact that some places in Rivers State like Oyigbo (Obi Igbo), Omuma, Etche, Omoku, even Ikwerre, Ahoada, etc are Igbos? Bearing in mind that they speak & understand Igbo though with little variations; they also bear Igbo names and practise Igbo cultures. So considering these, are u saying they are not Igbos? Of course they are Igbos and that is a fact that can never be denied. Now let me educate u a little: In Igbo Language, there is what is called Olu mba (native dialect) and Igbo Izugbe (Central Igbo). Each & every Igbo community has a dialect that is peculiar to it which others may not speak or understand. But when it comes to Central or general Igbo, all Igbo communities speak & understand

Do u think Igbos ar lazy & myopic dat they cant see opportunities in anywhere they see themselves? Do u think it is only in Yoruba Land dat Igbos ar? For ur info, Igbos ar evrywhere. Go to de North, Abuja, SS or evn abroad, they are there, let alone de SE & som parts of SS dat ar basically their homes. In fact, my boss in my former office (an Edo man) once told me dat wherever u go & do not see at least 1 Igbo person, pls run away from there because dat place is not safe for human habitation. Then I asked him why he said so & he told me dat it's because Igbos ar evrywhere. Many Igbos ar business oriented & dat makes them travel far & wide in pursuit of their business. Moreover, dat gives them an edge over som ppl like u the "barbaric SonofYoruba" (as u call ursef) who confine ursef in 1 corner of ur cubicle & claim to know all dat is happening in all parts of de world.

Noooooooo! U got it wrong. The matter is at the Magistrate Court and not the State High Court. That is why it is brought in the name of the State Commissioner of Police. This is so because almost all criminal cases at the Magistrate Courts are prosecuted by the Police and not the State. But it would have been the other way round if the matter was instituted in the State High Court, in that case the parties will be STATE v. MR JOE. However, if the High Court is sitting on the case on its appellate jurisdiction, i.e appeals from the Magistrate Court to the High Court in Criminal cases, it will still be in the name of the Commissioner of Police, unless the A.G of the State decides to take over.
