Nigerian Man Dragged to Court by Lady he Exposed after She Got N1500 from Him & Failed to Show up at his Place

A Nigerian lady, Kor Saanmoyol Henrietta, has dragged a man she met on social media to Benue Magistrate Court after he called her out on Facebook for failing to show up despite collecting N1500 from him.

Sharing the court document as well as his chats with the lady on Facebook, the man named Luben Terkula accused Kor of defrauding him.

He said she did not only take his N1500 but defrauded him of airtime and data.

Narrating why he dragged her, Lubem said they became good friends on Facebook after a series of chats. According to him, Kor said she had wanted to know him better and this made him send her N1500 to come over as her place wasn’t far from his. Lubem said she had actually told him her transport fare was N500 but he sent an extra N1000 to demonstrate his generosity.

His post read;
“After accepting her Facebook friend request, Defrauded me of N1500, scammed me of recharge card and data.
NOW SHE TOOK ME TO COURT
Kor Saanmoyol Henrietta .
That’s her number 08093429126
I met this girl online, chatted her up and we became good friends but recently i found out that she’s an ugly liar! She said she want to get to know me better in person and I said no wahala but she doesn’t have enough money with her as a generous and honest young man, I ask her how much is her TP from Gboko to Makurdi, she responded N1500 which ordinary is N500 but I consider that as someone visiting u for the first time may needs pocket money while on transit.
After she acknowledged the reciept of bank transfer, booooom she gave me an excuses! on why she won’t be coming on the agreed day again, Second time she came up with another stories that she will surely come this time, she keep on telling stories, this, that and that.
I call her time to time and the ‘bad’ girl kept picking and lying she is on her way already. Gboko – makurdi isnt up to 2hrs if there isnt hold up but my “august visitor” no show and its two weeks already.’
Imagine up till yesterday she was still telling me different stories with ethnic lies.
My boki kaiiii if only I took ur advice seriously, you advice that I should tell Kor Saanmoyol Henrietta to borrow money for her TP, that i will give her back when she arrived but i no listen to a ‘friendly’ advice.
I consulted a high reputational lawyer on what to do, what to say and the consequences if am going to be testifying under oath.
And that am right to take up any ligal action, any lady who request for your money as transport fare to come over, and you send the money, yet she refused to come, sue her by referring to Act 29 SECTION 132 of the criminal code and file a case of defrauding by false pretence against her.
I keep wondering why girls, mostly Gboko girls present themselves as only sex objects.
Few days ago saw a post on Facebook about whether a Girl can date a guy without asking for Money.
Most of the Benue females responded “can a guy date a girl without asking for Sex”
So the equated Sex to Money. Interesting
This has proved the popular school of thought, that most girls only offer Sex in a relationship.
Girls are still the same people that will say “he used and dumped me”
What’s the used in this context, SeX, SeX…
As if the didn’t enjoy the Sex, probably the guy only benefitted from the Sex.
Many years ago, that was when I was in my 200L Benue State University, I invited a lady to visit me, the first thing she told me was “I don’t have transport, I should send”, I told her, when she comes I will give her Transport money, she was reluctant, but she later agreed, can you believe that immediately she came, she requested for the money before we even started talking anything.
Hardly before most girls can pay the bills when you guys go on date, the hardly pay for anything, nothing, the say to themselves, after all he is fucking me.
So Sex is equated to money. Isn’t this prostitution.
I have had the time to mingle with many girls while in Benue state university and after that of different classes, Tribes and status quo, believe me, it’s the same thing.
Even the so called miss independent, miss Feminist, miss Gender Equality aren’t left out, the just deceive themselves ONLINE, when it matters in REALITY, they are no where to be found.
Some girls are good though, but I’m yet to be in a relationship with one..
I don’t know where I can find them, I just hear about the goodness in them.
Though am still praying for the good one to come my way.”
In a separate post, Lubem expressed eagerness to pursue the court case stating that its ‘outcome will be written on the walls of history.’

He wrote;
“N1500
Officially we are now in court
This event will redefine our generation stake, our inability to share in our responsibility of making our society a better place, dishonesty, fraud and others.
Benue state will go down in history before other state and whatever is the outcome will be written on the walls of history.”

RomanceDouglas Ogbankwa: Ladies Who Extort Men Risk 20-Year Jail Term by Niece(op): 8:41am On Feb 11, 2022
A former spokesman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Douglas Ogbankwa, has warned that ladies who extort men risked 20 years’ imprisonment.

Mr Ogbankwa gave this warning ahead of Valentine’s Day on February 14, popularly regarded as lover’s day.

The lawyer told the News Agency of Nigeria in an interview that women must do away with false representation aimed at extorting men during the celebration.

He noted that “experiences by some male folk over the years, have shown that some ladies are deliberately poised for extortion during the valentine season, all in the name of love.”

According to him, ladies, who ignorantly carry out acts of deceit, broken promises, or extortion, may be held liable under the provisions of the Advanced Fee Fraud Act (419).

Mr Ogbankwa stressed that girls, who were in the habit of collecting money in advance in the guise of transport fare to visit men on such occasions, but deliberately failed to do so, could be charged with fraud and prosecuted under the Act.

“It is important to note that many Nigerians are ignorant of this; for instance, a woman who collects money from a man as transportation fare to visit him, and then fails to show up can be charged with obtaining money by false pretence.

“Such persons could be prosecuted pursuant to Section 419 of the Criminal Code of Nigeria.

“Again, where a person obtains such money with the intention of collecting more when she arrives, such crime has now transcended to Advance Fee Fraud and liable for prosecution under the Advance Fee Fraud (Prohibition) Act,” he said.

Mr Ogbankwa noted that suspects could consequently be charged to court and prosecuted by either the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), or the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

He said that Section 1(1)(2) of the Advance Fee Fraud (Prohibition) Act, provides among others, that;

“A person who by false pretence, and with the intent to defraud, induces any other person in Nigeria or in any other country, to confer a benefit on him or on any other person.

“By so doing, or permitting a thing to be done on the understanding that the benefit has been or will be paid for, commits an offence under this Act.

“A person, who commits an offence under Subsection (1) or (2) of this section, is liable to conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than 20 years and not less than 7 years without the option of a fine,” he explained.

Mr Ogbankwa, therefore, noted that while the celebration of Valentine’s Day remained historic for certain cultures and people, its purpose should not be abused.

Accordingly, he urged all to be guided, since ignorance of the law was never an excuse.

HealthDoctor Removes Ovaries Of Teenager During Appendix Surgery In Benue by Niece(op): 9:46pm On Feb 03, 2022
A doctor in Benue state has been accused of removing the ovaries of an 18-year-old girl, Dooyum Lanna, during an operation to remove her appendix.

SaharaReporters reports that Dooyum who first had her menstruation at the age of 14, started experiencing abdominal pain each time her period came by the time she was 16 in May 2019.

Worried about the situation, her father, 72-year-old Kparevfa Lanna, took her to an acclaimed medical doctor named Agber Kwende in the Gaav Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State, for immediate treatment.

Sadly, the events that soon followed compounded their misery as the doctor allegedly removed the girl's ovaries and damaged other vital organs in her reproductive system, leaving her with a bigger crisis to deal with after that period.

More than two years after that terrible experience, Dooyum , who is a Senior Secondary School 1 pupil of Rose Asase College, Gboko East, Benue State, has been experiencing the absence of menstruation and constantly falling ill. Recent diagnosis and scans revealed that her fallopian tube was already shrinking, an indication that she may never be able to conceive.

"I feel sick all the time. Apart from headache, I still experience abdominal pain.

My education has been affected also. I feel sad all the time. I cannot have kids in the future, so what is my essence in life. I feel like ending it," she said.

Narrating how the situation has affected the entire family, her father, a farmer, said that he had spent over N100,000 trying to get a solution for his daughter's health condition without luck. According to him, efforts to get justice for his child and have the quack doctor punished for his negligence have been frustrated by the police, who granted him bail and have been siding with him, allegedly.

"All the time we have gone back to the quack doctor to complain of the damage he had done, he chased us away. We have been to more than four hospitals looking for solution and they keep telling us that her ovaries had been removed. After we reported the matter to the police, the doctor was briefly arrested but released the following day.

Since that period, the police have not been clear on the way forward. We want justice for our daughter. Her future has been affected, she must be compensated for what the man did to her" he said

When contacted, the doctor, Kwende, refused to comment on the issue.

Though a formal complaint was lodged at the Gboko Central Police Station, the state command had yet to initiate an investigation into the issue.

According to the police, Odoeke, who lives in Tilak Nagar area of Delhi posed as Richard from the UK and befriended the victim, a resident of Sector 21, on Instagram, last year.

The victim, in her complaint, stated that during the conversation, the suspect said that his birthday was approaching and as a kind gesture, his family sends gifts to all his friends.

The suspect then sent a message to the victim that since Diwali was approaching, he had sent £10,000 and some gifts to her.

A few days later, she received a call from a person who posed as a courier company executive and informed her that Richard had sent a parcel for her.

The person asked her to deposit Rs40,000 to get the parcel. However, even after depositing the money in the given bank account, no parcel was received by her.

She called on the number from which she had received a call to enquire about her parcel following which the imposter told her that there were various expensive gifts in the parcel due to which customs clearance, police clearance and other permissions were required.

The woman contacted the suspect, who posed as Richard on a WhatsApp number. He replied that there were expensive gifts, including gold sets, in the parcel.

He sent photos of gold sets to the victim and made her transfer Rs13.31 lakh to the given bank account.

The victim later found that she had been duped following which she approached the police. A case of cheating was registered at the Sector 19 police station in December.

During investigation, police arrested the suspected cyber fraudsters and recovered mobile phones, laptops and debit cards from them.

Satvinder was remanded in judicial custody while Ifeanyi was sent to four days of police custody by a local court.

“We are gathering information about other persons involved in this cheating racket,” said a police official.

PoliticsLagos Hawker Receives Over ₦300,000 For Giving Money To Prison Inmates by Niece(op): 11:00am On Jan 16, 2022
A bottled water hawker, Ekuma Jeremiah, has explained why he gave out money to some inmates stuck in traffic in the Ajah area of Lagos state.

Video of Jeremiah carrying a crate of bottled water on his head while giving out some of the money he had made to some inmates inside a van of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) surfaced online during the week.

Jeremiah’s gesture expressed in the seven-second viral video earned him a widespread commendation from many Nigerians who applauded him for his love and generosity.

The hawker has received donations of over N300,000 as of Saturday with many applauding his generosity despite his condition.

During an interview, Jeremiah said that he was motivated by pity to give the inmates money.

“I was not inspired by anyone. I gave the inmates money out of pity. I didn’t do that because I’ve been to a police station… since I was born, I have not been detained in a police station.

“Though I am very poor and sell bottled water, I still have my freedom, I can eat whatever I want to eat and go anywhere I want to go, but the prisoners do not have that freedom.

“They are being denied of many things. They cannot make a choice of what to eat, they take whatever is given to them. Sometimes when they crave to sleep, they would be denied but I can sleep whenever I’m tired.

“So, immediately I saw them, I was touched. I gave the first person N100 then others started begging me for help, so I decided to also give them. Basically, it was due to pity.”
