A lady who boarded an Uber ride has given the driver $100 after a ride, WonderTV Media reports.

The excited Uber driver, Mr Sheriff Olowookere shown off the one hundred dollar ($100) given to him by the lady after the ride.

The driver alleged that he drove the lady from Ikeja to Admiralty in Lagos State.

Mr Sheriff who could not hide his excitement, took to social media to display a one hundred dollar note given to him by his client.

The excited driver posted the dollar note and wrote: “Make una see wetin my rider use pay me o, from Radison blu Ikeja to Admiralty and I stayed with her for few hours, Oluwa pls continue to bless her more o and not forget to bless me too and all good wishers. Amin.”

His colleagues, taking the comment section of the post, congratulated him for what they themed as ‘luck’

One of his colleagues also testify of how a client gave him $300 after a ride in Abuja.

The operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a 23-year-old suspected illegal gunrunner.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday night said that the command effected the arrest while on a stop-and-search operation along Ngada–Gombi road.

Oyo State Police Command has arrested a 42-year-old suspected ritualist, Abideen Raheem for exhuming a body of a dead person and cutting off the head, WonderTV Media reports.
Mr Raheem who exhumed a body from a cemetery in Ibadan, had cut off the head and sold it to a friend for N25,000.

While being paraded, Raheem confessed that his friend needed the human head for the money ritual.

“I wanted to help my friend who contacted me that he needed a human head for money ritual. I cut the head with a knife and took it away. I gave my friend who told me that he needed it for money ritual.”

The suspect said his friend was arrested with the head on his way home.

“It was his arrest that led to my arrest”, Raheem said.

When interrogated, the friend who gave his name as Moruf Ganiyu, said he needed the human head for money ritual purposes.

“I discussed the issue with my friend Raheem and he promised to get me the head. On getting it, he called me. I collected it and I gave him the sum of N25,000 for his job.

The remains of late Brigadier General Dzarma Kennedy Zirkusu and six other soldiers who died fighting against Boko Haram terrorists have been laid to rest at the military cemetery of 23 brigade of the Nigerian Army in Yola, WonderTV Media reports.

Dignitaries at the funeral included the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Deputy-Governor of Adamawa State, Crowther Seth, and heads of security agencies in the state.

In appreciation for the sacrifices made by the gallant officer, Adamawa state Governor, Umaru Ahmadu Finitiri donated ten million naira to the family of the late General and named a street in Yola after the General.

The Governor also gave seventeen million naira to the families of the other soldiers who died alongside the General.

A 27-Year-Old suspected cultist, Adeniyi Titus was on Friday arraigned before Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos state after a video of a beheaded person was found in his phone.

The 27-year-old tailor said to be a member of the Buccaneer Confraternity was charged with belonging to an unlawful secret society.

Titus, a resident of the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, pleaded not guilty to the two counts.

While presenting evidence, the prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Bassey told the court that the defendant committed the offences at 4.30 p.m., on Oct. 15, at Itamaga, Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

Bassey said that the defendant and his accomplices, who were still at large, conspired to join a secret cult.

The prosecutor told the court that the defendant was caught by an anti-crime patrol team that raided a black spot at Itamaga area of Ikorodu where some hoodlums suspected to be cult members were apprehended.

Bassey said that the defendant was on the run as he sighted the patrol vehicle and was chased, arrested and through minimum force was brought to the station as he became violent.

“During interrogation, it was discovered that he belonged to the Buccaneer confraternity AKA ‘Alora’ through the anchor tattoo inscribed on his body.

“A video clip of an Aiye fraternity was found on his phone showing a young man being beheaded.

“The defendant claimed it was sent to him by a member of Alora fraternity where he belonged”, Bassey said.

He said that the offences contravened Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015 and section 2(3)(a)(b)(c)(d)(e) of the Lagos State laws on unlawful society and cultist laws 2021.

The defendant was granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The Magistrate, Mrs O.A Daodu, said that the sureties must be gainfully employed with evidence of two years’ tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

She adjourned the case until Dec. 12, for mention.

A 16-year-old girl in In Port Harcourt, River State who accused her father of raping her has changed her story in the police station, claiming that she was influenced into making the ‘false’ accusation by an evil spirit, WonderTV Media reports.

According to the Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign, the teenager reported her father rapping her on Tuesday, November 22nd to Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo.



She later changed her mind at the Human Rights Desk of the Rivers State Police Headquarters on Moscow Road, telling investigators and detectives that she was misled by an evil spirit to falsely accuse her father.

“Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign was contacted upon her complain to the Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, PortHarcourt,” the group said in a statement on Thursday.

“Members Of Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign and members of the community vigilance group took the 16-year-old girl and her father to the Human Rights desk at Rivers State Police headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.

In a twist she told the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nnamdi Omoni who also doubles as head of Human Rights desk at the Police headquarters that she was influenced by an evil spirit to accuse her father falsely.

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke who goes by the stage name ‘Davido’ has received some officials of Wema Bank in Dubai.

The visit comes two days after the singer had announced via his verified Twitter account that the bank he opened the donation account with, Wema Bank, wanted to have a meeting with him.

Davido tweeted on Wednesday, “Wema wanna have a meeting.”

However, as the fundraiser got heated, the bank hopped on the trend and made a post online with the inscription, “Na bank wey Davido dey use we go dey use now.”

On Friday night, however, the singer’s lawyer, Bobo Ajudua, shared pictures of Davido and Wema Bank officials with the caption, “Wema Bank finally touch down from Lagos. Ent law life will have you doing meetings at the wildest hours.” (sic)

Reposting the post on his Instagram story, Davido said, “@wema_bank couldn’t wait”, revealing his location as the United Arab Emirates.

The bank also reposted Ajudua and Davido’s post on their Instagram story.

Davido has been trending on the Nigerian social media space for two days after he asked his friends and fans to donate N1m each to him for his birthday.

Fans and followers thought the singer was joking when he posted a video on his Instagram story, calling on those he had helped in the music industry to send him a million naira each.

Kwara Fire Service recovered a corpse from Asa River in Ilorin on Monday.

Mr Hassan Adekunle, Head, Media and Publicity Department of the Service said a resident alerted the Service to the gory site.

He added that: “Our officers were able to remove the corpse from the river and handed it to the police.”

Adekunle said the casualty’s hands were tied behind his back and he was blindfolded when found.

“No concrete evidence has been found as regards the cause of the incident,’’ he explained.

Adekunle urged Kwara residents to be suspect at all times to prevent a similar occurrence
