Peter Okoye of PSquare and his elder brother, Jude Okoye have followed each other on Instagram, WonderTV Media reports.

It seems the brothers have decided to put their difference aside and let peace reign.

Recall that days ago, Peter and his twin brother Paul followed each other on Instagram.

This development comes after Peter Okoye paid a visit to Paul Okoye’s estranged wife and children in the US.

Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III and his wife Mrs Olori Atuwatse III on Monday clocked seven years in marriage, WonderTV Media reports.

The couple took to their respective Instagram handles to celebrate their anniversary.

Mrs Olori who posted a phot of their wedding, wrote:

A suspected kidnapper, Labram Ibrahim has been arrested by operatives of the Ondo State Security Agency Network known as Amotekun Corps.

The 30-year-old man suspect was said to have pretended to be a lunatic when he was apprehended in the Akure garage area of Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of the state.


It was gathered that Ibrahim was arrested following the suspicious manner he was dressed and walked.

According to sources, the Amotekun operatives in the area, who had been monitoring him, pounced on him when he was about to be picked up by some persons in a black jeep who arrived to take him away.

One of the sources, who claimed to be a hawker in the park, said, “prior to his arrest, he was noticed and walking aimlessly like a lunatic to and fro Akure garage to Itanla junction before the black jeep pulled up beside him to carry him.

“His action raised suspicion which made people around the area gather and beat him.”

Meanwhile, the suspect confessed that he was not a lunatic, but working for one man called Rabiu Adamu in Akure, the state capital.

Ibrahim, who claimed that he is from Sokoto, narrated that Rabiu, his in-law, took him to Akure park and put him in a car going to Ondo town.

“The man paid N700 to the driver and later gave me N1500 to board a car going to Ore and from Ore to Epe where I am going to work. He did not tell me the kind of work he wants me to do.

“Rabiu was coming behind in his black jeep with three other men inside. He told me to remove my sim card and put it in Akure garage roundabout and proceeds to Ore before I was arrested at Itanla because of the way I dressed,” he said.

Amotekun Corps in Ondo town disclosed that they have swung into action to arrest the owner of the black jeep and the three men in Akure for further investigation.

1. CLEMENT ISONG:
Clement Isong was appointed as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria by former military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon in August 1967.
He was the head of Nigeria’s apex bank till September 1975 before he ventured into politics.
Isong was elected as the first Governor of Cross River State under the platform of the National Party of Nigeria(NPN). He was in office between 1979 and 1983.
His running mate was Mathias Ofoboche. Clement Isong died in the year 2000 at the age of 80.

2. CHUKWUMA SOLUDO:
Chukwuma Soludo, a Professor of Economics was Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria between 2004 and 2009. He was appointed by the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
The 61-year old Economist contested for the Anambra Governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and won with a landslide victory.
He will be sworn in as the executive Governor of Anambra State in March 2022.
His running mate is Dr Onyekachi Ibezim.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Cross River State Command has arrested three suppliers of adulterated diesel and kerosene that have been the cause of explosions in various homes in the state capital, Calabar, WonderTV Media reports.

The suspects were arrested with 71,000 litres of adulterated diesel and kerosene.

The suppliers sealed the product in form of cement bags and were able to beat security personnel from Portharcourt down to Uyo in Akwa Ibom State.
But, on entering the Calabar-Odukpani Highway, the truck was caught by the eagle eyes of NSCDC personnel on duty.

The Ogun state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, warned teachers in public and private schools in the State to put an end to such punishments in order to avoid being sanctioned.

Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, said this Wednesday, during a meeting with the management Adeoye International Nursery and Primary School, Iyesi-Ota.

Arigbabu feared that canes being used in flogging may hit the pupil in sensitive parts of his body, thereby creating more problems for the school and even the State.

A teacher of the school, Mrs Taiwo Odunola, was said to have beaten a three-year-old girl on the back of her, a development that had generated reactions from the mother of the child.

Speaking, Arigbabu stressed that the state government frowns at any corrective action that would inflict injury or pain on any child.

The Commissioner maintained that government would not condone actions that could drag the name of the State in the mud.

“I want to say here as the Commissioner that I am not happy to hear of this incident and we will not allow any action that would drag the name of the State in the mud. Schools should devise effective and humane methods of disciplining a child apart from corporal punishment”, the Commissioner said.

Arigbabu said corporal punishment could lead to reducing a child’s level of confidence, maiming or even death.

He advised that schools should work in tandem with the vision of Governor Dapo Abiodun administration by being 21st century compliant in teaching and learning methods.

He identified the need for schools to organise seminars and workshops in order to update their teachers on modern ways of teaching and to come up with strategies to use in tackling indiscipline in place of corporal punishment.

Earlier, Arigbabu had spoken on a radio station in Abeokuta that Ogun would encourage the use of canes on learners by their teachers.

“Things have to be done in accordance with the law. Beating in schools is actually not encouraged. We should not do things that can complicate matters. Teachers need to be creative about disciplining a child. A lot of methods are available to discipline a child.

“In the process of beating, the cane may fall on the child’s eye and the child may lose his sight. Everything we do should be in moderation. Beating does not really translate into the good behaviour of a child,” Arigbabu said.

He, however, warned parents and students against attacking teachers in schools, stressing that anyone caught would be made to face the law.

Nigerian popular singer, Davido has congratulated Anambra Governor-elect, Professor Charles Soludo on his election victory, WonderTV Media reports.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday announced the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the winner of the governorship contest.

Popular MC And Radio Presenter, Itiat Zion Butchered To Death By Unknown Assailants In Calabar

A popular Efik Master of Ceremonies and radio presenter, Itiat Zion has been murdered by yet to be identified assailants in Calabar, the Cross River state capital, WonderTV Media reports.

According to a source, late Itiat Zion anchored major Efik traditional marriages among other events.

It was gathered that Zion was killed close to a popular hotel located along the Murtala Mohamed highway on Saturday, November 6.

He was said to be waiting by the roadside to get a vehicle back home when his assailants came out of a vehicle and butchered him to death.

“The boys just came out from a vehicle and butchered him to death” an eye witness disclosed.

His colleague and popular Efik MC, Koko Dear, who went to pick his corpse at the morgue, said that the murder may be a case of mistaken Identity.

Late Zion, together with Koko Dear and others presented a popular Efik program, “Uwem Ye Ido” on FAD 93.1 FM Calabar.

Nigerian comedienne and skit maker, Maryam Apaokagi, known professionally as Taaooma has tendered an apology after being called out over her visit to the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

Recall that Taaooma and some of her colleagues had visited the vice president during the week. Taaooma who alleged that their visit was centred on Nigerian youth empowerment, insecurity, police brutality and the general welfare of the citizens was countered by an activist, Rinu Oduala who alleged that the skit makers visited the vice president to promote their Skit Industry Awards.

Taaooma had earlier posted on her social media page about her visit to the vice president.
She wrote:
“Yesterday, I had the chance of meeting with the VP of the federation at the Presidential villa, Abuja.

I urged for the “actual” lifting of the Twitter ban and as well, stressed on the issue of police brutality which hasn’t gotten any bit of change even after all the promises.

I made the presidency understand how important Twitter is for the majority of us (the youths). The SMEs and the very plenty others who make a living via that platform.

The Twitter ban has made so many small scale business crash and disrupted many.

I also made it known to the VP that Police brutality hasn’t stopped and we the youths seem to be the target of that institution. #Endsars was not just to end SARS alone, it was to end all forms of police brutality and irresponsibility.

Countering the comedienne’s post, Rinu wrote:
“The issue here isn’t about the visit. You asked for audience to see Osinbajo to promote your Skit Industry Awards. You guys are now making it look like you specifically went to talk on behalf of the youths.

If you had some modicum of shame, you wouldn’t have gone, even if it’s to honour your colleague, who was brutalized earlier this year by police officers without apology. I hope you at least asked Osinbajo, ‘who ordered the shootings?’

Talmabout ‘ they are engaging the government’. You didn’t go for any government. You went for your personal interests, then tried to sprinkle it with some performative actions.”

“You went to get assurances from Osinbajo on behalf of the youths, but the youths weren’t even aware you were going there”, Rinu added.

In an apology made on social media by the comedienne, she wrote:
