See comment section o! Na now I know say most people for this land no really know Wetin dem dey talk. Y’all think these things started today. Lmao. I used to be a student of the “now defunct” Beautiful Gate Secondary school. Very close to this Excel College and Ronik… Smoking, Drinking, Sex and Cultism starts from here. Make una no dey whine una self. It’s just the grace of God and strong family training… you think you can control these students? See Ehn, make una dey thank God for our own parents sha… the system is the same. Has already been. The individual is what’s different. |
GanagiBitrus:Salah don turn Christmas 🎅 |
jocelynor:Wetin Musa no go see for gate? ![]() No wonder the OG’s on this section no longer drop insightful contents anymore. Sorry y’all. Go heal… the pain is severely inching deep into your hearts. Heal in Jesus Name. ![]() |
Revealpanda:Dodoyo! ![]() Who broke your heart my bro. You better move on in life… I’m not going to give you any info you can’t freely find online. And whilst you’re still here licking your wounds, don’t forget to like my comments and post. ![]() God abeg!!! |
Omo, AI isn't going anywhere. AI is just going to make better developers AI is going to bring in better developer's experience AI is going to bring better developers job AI will help you express yourself. Build with your heart and not just for the money. "Tech is getting saturated" they say. But i see as much people quite as they are joining. AI will help us tell better stories, expressively. AI will help you move fast. But your understanding will take you farther. There's never a better time than now. How are you using AI? Firebase Studio (Formerly Project IDX) is just another project. The competition is real. |
As solo developer, sometimes you face challenges making decisions. Especially when you’ve been tasked to deliver. Frontend paradigm have shifted from just knowing how to center a div, to actually challenging how you think, and how you imagine your customers/client ideas. Like I tell everyone who wants to build a product or an idea. Does your developer seamlessly elaborate on your ideas? Share your vision? As developers, frontend or backend, we all know what we do is art. Story telling basically. And, how much of a story teller are you? For every line of code, there’s an active action in place and a planned action waiting to happen. My task is simple. Website is running very slow, UI needs a new look, and there’s need for some other 3rd party integration. Checked. Website running on Wordpress, hmmm, no long talk. I’m building from scratch. Bootstrapped: Nextjs 15 with app router, tailwind for styling and Sanity for the backend. (Typescript of course) I’ll appreciate the review too. Good or Bad. |
Good job. Putting in the time to hobby projects… it can be less motivating sometimes. But you got this. Like we all do. Good job improving your logical skills in implementing the features. Did you use an ORM for the database? What stack was it build on. But Omo, your UI dey gba!!! Ease of navigation? Hmmm, well it’s basic. Unnecessary flickering with elements flying here and there. And pardon me to say, you didn’t really match up in any way trying to create like those brands you mentioned would have done it. Let me give you a pointer. As a fullstack, you know your app and its features is as as good as the UI. Interaction and experience. I build products from ground up and I can tell you how crazy it is iterating back and forth. Backend, Models, Schemas and all. Do your self a favor don’t think about the UI, go to dribbble or behance, look for inspirations. Build through that, and you’d have better perspective and understanding. You have 5sec to sell a product. Bad UI will make ‘em walk away. |
toboizilla:Sorry man. I felt you were reasonable. I apologize for indulging. With the way you dey digress ehn… |
MDN The rest parameter syntax allows a function to accept an indefinite number of arguments as an array, providing a way to represent variadic functions in JavaScript. According to wikipedia: In mathematics and in computer programming, a variadic function is a function of indefinite arity, i.e., one which accepts a variable number of arguments. Support for variadic functions differs widely among programming languages. Example: function sum(...theArgs) { let total = 0; for (const arg of theArgs) { total += arg; } return total; } console.log(sum(1, 2, 3)); // Expected output: 6 console.log(sum(1, 2, 3, 4)); // Expected output: 10 Key Note: A function definition can only have one rest parameter. The rest parameter must be the last parameter in the function definition. Trailing commas are not allowed after the rest parameter. The rest parameter cannot have a default value. In a simpler term, when you need to pass an unlimited or unknown number of parameters, the rest parameter, happens to be your best bet, rather than calling 1000 params in a function definition. |
toboizilla:Oh, come on boy! You hold phone for hand still dey act ignorant of the fact say google dey everywhere. Run check am nau. FYI I am a software engineer with years of experience and I’ve played with enough cloud infras beyond AWS. You know Wetin be Devops? Rather than try to slander, why don’t you ask to understand these things? |
toboizilla:First make we establish the fact say you be mumu ![]() We don’t have light and good weather in this country. Unless the government really does something, it is not sustainable - business wise. Ordinary FibreOne that has one of its data center in Lekki Phase 2, go check the amount of HVAC them install and generator units them get, maybe them get solar sha, I no know. Thing is, forget the names, operational cost will run them down in no time. Unless someone derives a fantastic method to make it sustainable. Even at that, which ISP dem wan use? Don’t even mention MTN oo. Sorry for the mumu name calling but your response no dey logical at all. |
toboizilla:You're such a Dimwit. ![]() If you're sane, you won't type all this rubbish you typed here. You just reaffirmed what I said earlier. You be mumu! |
toboizilla:You be mumu! You for just check my moniker before you come type rubbish... muntula ![]() AWS na PAAS wey go fit double as IAAS... generally, a SAAS. FYI: Nothing concern me and amazon if the Web Services no dey am. Jumia, Jiji and Konga dey for us. ![]() I don't expect you to know what those acronyms are. But AWS IS NOT A DATABASE. Before you respond, try check my Moniker. |
geoworldedu:Nairaland wetin. Omo, you go sift through the noises. Simple. Shebi you know yourself. ![]() |
SmartPolician:Is it pronounced Ádá or Àdà? ![]() Na pronunciation be dialect o! And dialect means origin. So, make it make sense. Go to lagos. You will see Chukwuemeka who doesn't know how to speak igbo but can speak yoruba like madt! |
toboizilla:AWS is not a Database cos I am trying to understand you. Una wey no fit produce toothpick. Na cloud infra you wan dey dream of? Oga make una try get light first. And FWI, it is good news for me mbok!!! |
To all Nigerians who can't differentiate what cyber bullying is. This is a typical case. Not when the rich has the power to oppress. Stop cyber bullying. It kills. |
temitope27:The casket is never heavy until it is your own person in it. We all deserve what we deserve but I hope nature makes it easy on us all. Burna abuse power forget it. No be person give Yankee president motorcade the middle finger sometime back? Them for kill am nah. |
E dey okay. |
Corporate2020:Guy, E no go better for you. I no wan know wetin you look like, so I no bother check your profile... but see ehn, E no go better for you.l see!!! Every human life matter. What happens to patience and hardwork? You muthafukah!!! 9ja sweet you no mean say e sweet everybody for body... you just dey yarn opata! I feel say you dey near me like this make I deck your 32!!! Rubbish human being. Have you ever had a proper conversation about life in general with an intelligent person? School no be scam Ajeh!!! Iya ee seh.. alaye wa!!! I pray for your sisters 🙏🏽 😔 |
Treasure17:Do you think he's wrong? I stay on the island... no be lekki ooo! But dude, you will be shocked!!! Na mainland girls sef we dey rate more and e get why. That's why them say, before you marry a girl, watch how she treats/responds to her parents. Especially the father. E get why. |
Esosa! I no go too praise you make your head no swell. But you try. Your efforts go finally improve your skills las las. But see wetin I get to talk. 1. Wetin green, blue, red, black and plenty plenty unmatched colors dey do for your portfolio. See ehn, in designs, there's needs to have a clear contrasts between your color pallets. You need to blend the colors so it is suiting, well enough for the eyes to feel relaxed rather than get it all confused on what to focus on. If you're to use green, use green and if na blue you wan use, use blue well well. This make me think most of your codebase are copied and not copied well. Abeg try improve on your color schemes. Be creative in matching the colors and for a black/dark website, you need to make the colors a bit more subtle... instead of the heavy much you have there. 2. I dey really try to see the animation wey you dey talk about because wetin full your site na basic transition. An animation is supposed to captivate a readers/viewers attention with the kind of effect it puts out. Apart from your menu slides, wey still dey stiff in a way, there aren't much to see here in terms of animation. 3. Why in God's name is you menu clicks not closing the menus? I'm viewing on mobile so I don't know how it looks on a pc. However, have you heard of the term "mobile-first" design?. Tentatively speaking, people would often visit your page from a mobile device. 4. I notice say you add pidgin. However, you don't seem fluent in writing the pidgin. You just wan cause confusion for readers head. Overall, I'd rate you 6.5/10 Read more on view transition, look into font systems, also, why does your loading screen look like the old Nigerian movies montage (you know that scene where dem dey try write movie title )In all, good job. Like I said... your efforts will always improve your skills. I see say you use Framer for the basic animation you could have done with simple css or probably tailwind. Again, good job. Well done. |
I no too miss nairaland. ![]() |
gistray:Complete a project? Is it bare RN source code or Expo Workflow? |
silento:That too can't do it. Undercharging a client can pose a serious threat especially when you do not fully know the client's work scope and expectation. Na there fight dey start from. We need to start doing better. Both client and service providers. I know say hunger dey but which one be 50k in 3 working days bruv!!! Even with a template or theme. Then imagine writing your first commit! Omo make una dey take am easy abeg. |
Na wa o!!! |
Maxxim:My bro. I'm good. Just navigating o. The tech eco-system is crazy right now. Trust you're good too. |
