airsaylongcome:Smart! I no even reason chatgpt sef With Linux, na breeze nau... I remember my days of Kali, Manjaro and that tiny distro. Linux is fun if you know your way around it... well, almost all system are built on it sha. |
airsaylongcome:It took me a bit more than 2 hours though cos I needed to install and configure mutt for the mail part and dinner man gats chop and relax small... you know as mac dey do with homebrew sometimes with their yeye updates... I kukuma disable the update patapata However, you're not wrong as I'd have competed it in highest time of 1hr (both testing and ensuring it works) You know your trade bro. |
DDayve:Not necessary is where the problem is... it is very necessary building a habit of doing the hard stuffs. One thing I'd tell you it does is... it opens another dimension of your engineering skills. How do you choose between databases, how can you work with different databases, their schema types and all... different jobs have different requirements. Only a few Nigerians have worked with FaunaDB, DynamoDB and the crazy stuffs and yet remote jobs will hit you with different requirements. I remember when I was using hasura with postgres.. but then, I realised I didn't even need them if I could just go with mine using nestjs/typeorm or sequalize and building out my own graphql server or RestAPI endpoints. At the end of the day you'll find out you'll learn more as you come at crossroads of choosing the best route to actualize your desired goals... you can simply stick with prisma. At the end, you get familiar with all these. That's what engineering is all about. Size of project and techstack to implement. Are you building for scale or just a simple app normal mysql database can handle. Mix and Match bro! When you call price for client... you choose to do what you can or simply walk. These days I'm not even bothering myself much... I just go with sanity Headless cms or wordpress for data. Unless I am expressly instructed to use a particular approach. Things are easier these days but hard to grasp as the market is coming with new approach of doing same stuff. |
Okafor David good job. There's always room for improvment. Here are a few pointers: 1. You can make your typography stand out since your portfolio is based on black background. Bolder texts with catchy words can play you differently. (Play with it if you can) 2. Your picture is absolutely unnecessary... Nobody is interested to see your full body posture unless the picture is a banger. (Suggestion would be to crop out the body part and allow just your head portion... make it bigger and probably add a filter to it via CSS to black and white... just play with the image itself) 3. Your skill can be listed out in a more presentable manner and without the % rating cos honestly... if you're tested on all based on your percentage rating, you'd fail. I know don't ask me how... mistakes of the past It's obviously points out you're a still grasping on them.4. Start developing your animation skills... but then you can get creative with AOS (Animate On Scroll) on the pages especially on the portfolio page. 5. Your contact page, your form should have appropriate padding so it is visually appealing... and then, your button is really doing well in hiding when it is the only thing that's supposed to pop out. I know how many times I have clicked on peoples button just to see it's behavior... you'd be surprised the little things people look out for. You can fade out the purple color to a disabled mode rather than hiding it entirely in black. Overall.. great job bro! Keep moving. You're doing well. I hope you're fetching your content dynamically. And not having it on a jsx/tsx/md file or even hard coded. Learning that aspect and putting it to practice would improve your skills and you'd learn more while implementing. I'd suggest you go with strapi CMS... it's beginner friendly. If you can sha, store it in your own postgres db or mongodb documents. |
airsaylongcome:Bro... the guy above me said $400 ![]() What i feel is, it simply means they don't understand the task. |
$400 ke! E no reach bro... but I don do am for am... using the money to drink very cold Heineken with Big fish ![]() All these small small gig dey sweet for weekend flenjour. |
chris4gold:Drop ur contact. |
chris4gold:Let's run the cron. |
truthCoder:I don follow you drop comment too... sipping on nothing sha... The thread don tey sha but even then, I remember quoting 13k usd for a cross platform app. Even though the dude no get the money that time, he was actually pricing 8k... but we didn't do it cos of of the APIs we wanted to use costs about 7k usd for them to provide us with their infrastructure. Omo, thank God for life sha... but truth is, these days, things are way cheaper. Depending on who you're working for and the quality of work they intend to have. If you want cut and sew, I be obioma. ![]() If you want tailored solution, I'll take your measurements without missing a single detail. The Nigerian Market get problem. And its not getting better. Do you know why rich Nigerians rush to webflow, wix and other top site builders? Well, we still dey far sha... I see person say 40naira. ![]() Even opencart ecommeece that year sef na from 100k Modfied: For those wey go still talk say na lie I dey lie or na capping as usual. This post was made in 2021 https://www.nairaland.com/6472177/need-serious-input-experts-project And it's that particular project. |
eldervine:How so? |
GREATIGB0MAN:See as you talk like better person now... ![]() We good bro. |
GREATIGB0MAN:All about the capping... you never even hear half you dey shake shake waist Upandan ![]() |
GREATIGB0MAN:Yeah... about that fucking life yeah? Let's be grateful for the air we all breath cos it ain't fuxking easy. But then, your references are a bit personal as some stuffs you said are incorrect... just to sound right ba. ![]() Truth is, it doesn't change shit. People we know do not really shape out lives... we our ourselves. Might be wrong, might be right... but on the long run. Just ensure you wake smiling everyday cos that's the only reasonable thing you owe yourself. But truth is, about that life you hear, it happened. And your opinion won't even change the event of things that happened. If you noticed, it's been 2days straight I've been very active on NL... not like it matters to you bro. But some of use just dey use certain things get past some depressing thoughts... no be everything dem dey use play... to even get time check my previous post... you must be up to no good then. But you see that life, we all live it differently. |
GREATIGB0MAN:Na now I even see your name... My guy... I no get shi shi no mea say I no get people wey get shi shi... lol, ffs... some of them dey your TV sef... See this thing we call life ehn... its deeper than throwing random trolls... When we dey 100levels for Gh, I get course mate wey dey order cars from amaerica and Europe directly to Ghana... wetin full school that year for North legon, na Nigerian plate numbers belonging to students ooo... not even lecturers. E don tey wey people begin pull weight... some of us just dull the moment... and so there you have life happening. No be every talk dem dey troll biko. Just rest small. ![]() |
GREATIGB0MAN:If that makes you happy, then, by all means... rest in Jesus name. Fxking troll! |
sukkot:That's how much the thing pain me. ![]() |
The only important thing here for me is the passion. Nothing more. I really give it to Google. ![]() ref: https://medium.com/@jankammerath/frontend-javascript-secrets-what-books-wont-teach-you-5b02c9afcc4a

I am igbo...Full blooded. From Imo state. My state of origin is ancient. But I condemn this. That's why me and my hypocritical uncles and kinsmen no dey agree. Selfish hypocritical lots... my father's death last December made me see certain things I'd never be part of. Wicked people and God created me differently. Na ther them get problem cos they can't do shit to me... my heritage is stronger than their gods and beliefs. Motherfuchers... ![]() If dey jump anyhow I go put am for their body. No time to serenade shit. If I no do am, my younger brother go run am... omo ekó no be for mouth my nighar. Let the dead rest in peace. |
Deicide:The comment I've been looking for. |
Golang be like C mixed Js. If you sabi Js, golang no go hard. Check am well. The only language I think I'd prefer learning now is rust... but what's the need. Na 9ja I dey. |
Charity is an everyday thing for me.... no matter how small. Its a part of me... But i nearly slap wax comot for one ear last week. People just dey say, bros! Abeg leave am... guess what. The guy come dey quote reverse psychology for me... ![]() Telling me he'll eventually makes it and God go do this and that... I just look at God and smiled. Omo, you can't stop being good because of some unappreciative lots. Jump am pass and continue your humanity to the world. Giving is a gift not so many have. |
The mobile app is a dribbble design. https://dribbble.com/shots/15282794-Food-Delivery-App/attachments/7036232?mode=media What I used in developing the app itself is react native expo and styled component. The app screen I have is just what you see... other screens are developed with just that Idea and it's coming out well. It will be on codecanyon soon. I think I might use Flutter for the next mobile app I am going to work on. My friend would say... Dey Play!!! |
Sometimes I consider UI Designers as some of the trickiest people in the design and development ecosystem. These guys can be very mean with their ideas... I mean, they just go ahead and put these things into perspective without minding the developer's prowess. Well, I guess that is why companies carefully select their team. I was to create a simple interior design website from scratch with a minimal budget. And me, I like doing things wey pass me sometimes... Instead make I kukuma go use WordPress with elementor jejely... No, I no dey gree hear word . I went on to use Vue/Nuxtjs. The funny thing is, I have never worked on any project using Nuxt. So, I went on with Nuxt3 anyways just to see what I can achieve with it. (This is why I opened a thread earlier talking about project-based learning) So I went on with Nuxt3 and with the documentation open on one tab, I decided to make the process easier for myself by using tailwind classes. I could have written out my own css classes to achieve same, using pure CSS or Sass sha! Nuxt3 is quite simple I have to say... with the options to use either their composite or option API, I feel more comfortable using the composite API... na so I enter dev mode o! And na so I achieve this here: https://perfectfitinteriors.com And the figma design I tweaked to my taste is: https://www.figma.com/proto/Ns26ZMGNvBEiEiYTPYa6ZO/Interior-Design-Webflow-Website-Template-(Community)?node-id=1-458 Anyways, as we all know, what makes your website dynamic is your content. How I handled that was simple. I used sanity headless cms... who puts out static content these days anyway? Basically, that's a jamstack website and whatever I learned will never leave my head. That's why I always encourage project-based learning. doing backend stuffs is quite fun but these days, I just see it as re-inventing the wheels if you're just building a basic website. use wordpress for your content if you can't handle other headless cms's and employ the power of the almighty Graqhql. You will be alright. Except you're building out software for scale... no go dey do pass yourself. Sometimes I'd build out an API using Nest or Express and sometimes I do that with Laravel. My own be say, na as body sweet me and based on the particular project I am working on. However, moving forward, I am delving more into building out my API's using GoLang. Anyway, I just dey bored and I say make i drop one for una. ![]() Modified: Take note of the figma link. Ensure the node-id bla bla bla is selected also, otherwise you won't see the flow/pages |
Draslo:And who told you those aren't in place already? ![]() |
LikeAking:That's what I want do now sef. |
Lol... your story no be lie. I can tell you for free these Gh boys get jealousy for blood. ![]() A friend of mine... I won't forget... when were in 200level. He got into a fight with 4 Ghana boys because of woman... her name na Rebecca. ![]() My guy Nimi... PH boy. Beat 4 of them... I'm not even capping. ![]() Guess what they did... they went on and called police. By the time police come our squad don complete. Police no fit just carry us... so they asked what happened. Omo, the Charlie them begin lie say na all of us beat them... unfortunately for them, Emeka and his younger brother and Stephen understand twi, ewe and ga! ![]() Na so them narrate the whole story give police... na so police slap slap these boys say dem no dey shame say na just 1 man beat them all.. ![]() Omo, wetin Ghana people no fit do because eof women no dey exists. I have plenty more stories... or should I call them experience. Kai... Ghana. And those Liberian girls are the freest girls you can hookup with in Ghana. They don't even need your money. Just show small likeness and provide accommodation... you're on your way to whatever you Want ma mehn. ![]() |

qtguru:Bro give me light.. I go handle server for you.. hardware is even easier because na as e dey play,e dey show. I provisioned vps servers for a few of my clients... giving them their own hosting service. If light dey, shey I go use service providers? I'd rather build my things myself. Apart from development jobs, that another thing that keeps food on my table. I have a hosting service that's been running for 6years+ |
